There are only a select few units at Kiahuna Plantation that offer the location, convenience and a full panoramic ocean view like Kiahuna 17 beach house. We are located in building 4.

Make your next vacation a lasting memory of brilliant sunsets, manicured lawns, and sunny seashores. Don’t pack up and walk to the beach, experience the beauty of Kauai right from the comfort of your own private lanai. Read a book, sip some wine, or just lay back, relax and enjoy the rhythmic sound of the ocean. It doesn't get any better than this.

Sitting on 35 acres of manicured lawns and tropical gardens, Kiahuna delights the senses with fragrant flowers, beautiful lush plants and canopies of trees. An open ocean side lawn is perfect for outdoor games of catch or Frisbee, or lounging in the sun in one of Kiahuna’s complimentary beach chairs.

Step off the lawn to the white sand beach or into the gentle blue waters for a swim. Pick up snorkel gear at the Beach Hut to spy on the tropical fish. The Beach Hut, located adjacent to the Oceanside lawn, also carries cold beverages, sunscreen, light snacks and other rental equipment. The staff at the Beach Hut can book day cruises, snorkel adventures and many other island activities.

There is a $268 taxable check out cleaning fee payable to Castle Resorts at check in.

Great location

The property was well stocked, comfortable, close to the beach and everything we expected. We would stay there again. The owner was very responsive to our questions and needs.

Kauai condo

We loved the view and having the beach a few steps away. Barbeques are close by and the condo is walking distance to very good restaurants.

Beautiful, well maintained ocean/lawn front unit

This is one of two units that I had rented for the week for our extended family. My husband, adult daughter and I stayed in this unit. We found it clean and well-maintained, with pleasing modern decor. The location was perfect - views of the sunsets from the balconey, plus easy access to the lawn, beach and athletic club. The club is amazing with all that it offered for all ages! Tennis, pickleball, toddler pool, equipment room, towels, rackets, paddles - such a great amenity! Parking was never an issue in front of our unit. The bed and the pull out couch were very comfortable.The washer/dryer was super convenient for our extended family with a toddler. We appreciated that we could wash our towels mid-week.We did not lack anything in the kitchen and appreciated the supply closet of beach umbrella, chairs, even snorkeling gear.The only minor minor issue was that there were a few items, including a pill and a cracker found under the coffee table and couch that were overlooked in the previous clean up.There was no A/C as described, but that was no issue in the winter, plus there was an overhead fan in each room.The dishwasher was not working for our stay, but since we did not cook any main meals, we easily hand washed anything that we used.We had a wonderful stay and would rebook this unit again!

Perfect location

Kiahuna Plantation is the perfect spot for a Kauai vacay; the beach is beautiful with good snorkeling and plenty of space on the sand. The condo is well-equipped with everything you need from a fully equipped kitchen to all the beach essentials: chairs, umbrella, boogie boards. Beach towels are available at the Beach Hut on property. The bed is very comfy. We were concerned that the condo would be a little cramped based on the pictures, but it is much more spacious than the pictures show. The bedroom has a spacious closet and there’s plenty of storage space in the kitchen. The lanai is furnished with a table and 4 chairs in addition to two loungers. Beautiful view of the ocean! The only downside to this rental is no a/c. It gets very warm in the afternoon in July; there is a ceiling fan in the living area and bedroom. The bedroom is comfortable at night with the fan over the bed; the kitchen/living space is much warmer since the condo faces west. There is always a lovely breeze so that helps. A beautifully landscaped property has a huge lawn for games, BBQing, or just sunbathing. Kiahuna Plantation is a gem and serves as a good home-base for westward activities (Waimea Canyon, Hanapepe, etc) and northern activities (Hanalei, NaPali coast, Wailua, Kilauea, helicopter tours).

Perfect location for home-base - ocean view was incredible.

We had a wonderful stay and would come back! This unit was well-appointed - we did not use the TV so I can't comment on that. The lanai was ample enough to do morning yoga on - ocean sounds 24/7. We found Big Save in Kaloa to be the best place to find avocados and limes - if you didn't hit the Costco on the way in. Also, the Wednesday farmer's market in the Kukuiula shopping center (3 minutes up the road) is the BEST for local produce and fun! This unit (as I think are all the units at Kiahuna plantation) is open to the outside air - no air conditioning. But we did not mind that at all - the fans kept us cool and the bed was comfortable. The only problem during our stay was during the last few days, a large group of extremely loud people checked in the unit immediately below us. We needed to call security a few times to explain that smoking was not allowed and to complain about the noise - due to the openness of the buildings, there was no way to close out the neighbors smells and sounds. Security did what they could, but we still had to deal with the sounds of drunk people yelling at each other, "Jimmy! Bring me a church key! while trying to get our young daughter to sleep. Ugh. I hope that others who stay in this community remember that they are impacting each other and choose to honor the peaceful aloha of Kauai. We were just unlucky those last few days.

Amazing stay!

We loved this property. We have stayed at multiple units and this by far was the best one yet. It was a plus to have laundry and a he bed was so comfortable. We will for sure rent from Jill again.

Great Honeymoon Spot

We had a wonderful time. The location is beautiful! Staff stayed after closing when we got in 1/2 hour late for check-in. We did not see any check-out instructions, but left things as we have for former rentals.

Awesome location, beautiful view!

This property was in an amazing location, overlooking the Kiahuna Beach (private) and just a short walk from Poipu Beach (public). The view was great, and it was easy to walk out to the garden and get a lawn chair or even rent a beach chair to bring down to the beach. The waves on Kiahuna Beach can get big so I recommend being a decent swimmer if you want to hop in, but we felt fairly safe rolling with the waves. The property is also so close to a bunch of dining and shopping areas, so it was easy to grab a bite to eat or some groceries. I wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy it even more!

Great view and beach

This spot has a great beach directly in front as well as a quick walk to poipu beach. The view from the condo lanai is gorgeous! One call out, the pool is located at the health club which is a good 8-10 min walk up a hot uncovered hill. Its a great pool with nice restaurant but we ended up driving to the pool because it was such a hot walk. The condo is well appointed with dishes and a full kitchen.

Great Location

Great location and nice unit for family of 4. Needs maintenance though. The safe does not work and could not be fixed. The dish washer was broken and did not work also. Patio table is cracked/broken in quite a few places and we were a little nervous about using it as it might shatter. Plus there is a bit of large dirt and smudges high up on the wall in the bedroom especially that need either painting or cleaning that is not getting done. Would return and on-site management company was super nice adn accomodating.

Best yet!

We have stayed at Kiahuna Plantation multiple times and enjoyed them all. This unit was the best yet. Amazing location with a spectacular view and nicely decorated and furnished. Washer/dryer was a nice plus.

Anniversary trip to Hawaii

We loved staying here on Kauai!! The condo had a perfect view of the ocean and the sound of the waves was awesome!! We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay

We love it here and this is our third time staying on this property. The unit has a great location and view and we were generally pleased overall with cleanliness and comfort. Great beach (high tide narrows it) and great views. Took surf lessons and easy to check out towels and chairs from the shack down by beach. The one thing I will say has nothing to do with the space or location but instead has to do with the people staying next to you or below you who make the experience as well and how staying here can sometimes be loud. We had a group below us who were college age and given the unit by parents (we assume) for their own personal room. They were loud and sound travels easy as there are no insulated windows. Plantation shutters are great for airflow but bad for sound. Cackling laughter and hoots and hollers at 12:30-1:00 at night were a distraction and woke us up numerous nights. Not the unit’s fault but also came home to find food thrown all over the lawn out back and even up on our lanai ( star fruit, grapes, a hot dog and partial bun… very strange). Just be aware that people forget about how sound carries through these units and how close we are all living together . Also, the couple next to us sat out on the lanai and smoked cigars. Again, they were less than 6 feet from our lanai and blowing cigar smoke nightly. I think people in general get selfish and self absorbed and/or intoxicated while on vacation, which in a place like this could impact your experience. That’s true everywhere. The difference is insulated windows versus none here and maybe management being more proactive about putting up notices regarding noise and smoking on lanai. . Other than that we had a good time. This unit was lacking boogie boards, parasol and some other beach items that we have had in previous units we rented here. Our friends also stayed here and switched units. Both of their units came with the items I mentioned above and snorkel fins and gear . Beds were comfortable and nice to have laundry in the unit. Thanks
