Rick was a great host, easy to communicate with. This location was very convenient, don't be put off by it being quintessential rural upstate New York at it's finest. The house set up was very comfortable. Plenty of nice places to eat out and a full service chain grocery store just down the road.

We highly recommend “The Guesthouse at Woodlands”! The home was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It’s up away from the road and quiet. Several outdoor seating areas as well as a fire pit. We used the large hot tub every evening after a full day of hiking and bike riding. The location is centrally located to many of the Fingerlake Area State Parks and attractions. We spent a whole week there and did not run out of things to do.Richard and his wife were fantastic hosts! Answered questions quickly and when we noticed drains running slowly they had it fixed the next day.

What a wonderful home. Exactly as described. Beautifully decorated. Nice fire pit outside. Richard is very responsive, which is great. We would highly recommend his place.

Great Place for Our Mini Vacation

Clean and comfortable home in a nice quiet location. Perfect place for us to stay with friends during our visit to the area. Close to wineries and Watkins Glen State Park.

Home base for Watkins Glen and wine trail

The property is a great home base for accessing Watkins Glen and the Seneca Lake wine trail. It was clean and comfortable for our family, and the hot tub was a nice bonus after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend this place for exploring the area.

Perfect little getaway

Enjoyed our little getaway in the guesthouse. Very cozy, home away from home. Location is perfect for hiking and wineries. Highly recommend.

Private Haven close to everything

A hidden gem well located, near Watkins Glen and within an hour of so many great Finger Lakes Destinations. Great hosts, lovely outdoor space, wonderful privacy. We will certainly return on the next trip to the Finger Lakes.

Finger lakes family vacation.

We loved the area and the property. 10 minutes from Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake. Everything was exactly as advertised. The guest house is a little closer to the main house than I had expected, but it still felt very private. Would absolutely stay again.
