The Lafayette House has all the modern conveniences with comfortable space to spread out. This home boasts stunning historic wood dating back to the late 1700's--one of the oldest homes in Greenbrier county--has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, and is located one short block to Washington Street and all the best that downtown Lewisburg--America's Best Small Town Food Scene-- has to offer. Your cozy getaway is just a click away!

This listing does not allow pets, but can provide list of local boarders.

We have a strict No Smoking/Vaping/E-Cigarette Policy on our property.
Any evidence of smoking will incur an additional cleaning fee.

Historical Getaway

If you are wanting to experience historic Lewisburg, WV in a beautifully restored home then the Lafayette House should be on your list. The owners hospitality made our stay extremely enjoyable.

Perfect getaway

This place really has a way of making you forget where you are with its unique look and cozy feel. I’d definitely come back just to have another great night sleep on that amazing bed lol

Perfect place for an Appalachian Angle on Life

Cute house, great area, when you wake up the first morning you’ll feel like you just woke up in your own home and hometown. Makes you want to return to WV!

Great property and location!

This property is even better in person than it shows on the site. Beautiful character home with well done updates and comfortable furnishings. Rachel provided everything we needed and even fresh pumpkin bread. Location is only steps away from many shops and restaurants downtown. You won't be disappointed booking this property.

The Perfect House for a Girls Weekend!

This house was so perfect for a long weekend getaway for me and my 2 best friends from high school and college. First, it is absolutely stunning. Decorated perfectly. Immaculate. Everything we were looking for...places to relax, talk, laugh, share stories, and just enjoy each other's company. We could do this on the charming front porch, the table nook at the side of the house, or in the comfortable and welcoming family room. The decor was stunning, yet not uncomfortable or stuffy. You can tell by the pictures how much attention was paid to detail. And the location couldn't have been better. A couple of blocks to the main street in historic downtown Lewisburg. A couple of houses down from a very cute restaurant. I really can't say enough positive things about this house. If you do stay, be sure and read about this house's history!

Great place to stay

House was perfect, can’t beat the location, close to everything. Lots of room for a big family. The house was stocked with anything you could forget while traveling(toothbrushes, contact cases, toiletries). Also coffee and hot chocolate for the Keurig. Would definitely stay here again!

The perfect stay in Lewisburg!

My family and I have stayed at dozens of travel properties over the years and – without hesitation – we all agreed this is the nicest one we've ever stayed at! From the comfy beds to the welcome gifts, we truly felt at home. The location was a perfect jumping off place to explore Lewisburg and the surrounding areas.

Small Town Historical Gem

Property was extraordinary: classical, country, historical, clean, cozy….nothing short of exceptional. Town is charming with some excellent restaurants and all walking distance. Friendly townsfolk too. Host was on top of all details and made our stay worry- free. Would do it all again!

Perfect Place for Family Gathering

This historic house is wonderful. It has many preserved historic elements, with all the modern necessities. Kelley’s attention to detail in the furnishings and decorations, and in anticipating our every need, made this an extra special destination for our gathering. A great bonus is that the house is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and only a short drive to The Greenbrier Resort. Looking forward to another stay!

Wonderful, Historic House

This was an immaculate and historic house. The property was close to everything and was as well-stocked as a house can be. I enjoyed my trip and Kelley is a great hostess! I will return in the future.

Amazing stay!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The home was in pristine condition and decorated beautifully! So much charm and character! The owners literally thought of everything from the fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms to the comfy beds & linens. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee. The location is a very short walk to town. This was a 10+ and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Spring Break

We spent a few days here meeting up with family. The house is amazing. Every detail was thought out so we would have the best experience. Kelly has thought of everything you may need during your stay. She gave great ideas for activities to do during rainy days and wonderful restaurant suggestions. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

The home is historic but with all modern amenities. Spacious but also cozy and welcoming. Minor items: (1) We wanted to watch the news on TV but couldn't figure out the two remotes. (2) The first few steps to the upstairs bedrooms could probably use a bannister.

Awesome Home

We had a wonderful weekend in this quaint home! The pictures do not do it justice! It was more than spacious, the kitchen very well appointed, the bedrooms and bathrooms were absolutely beautiful. Completely updated and modern, yet you could feel the history all around you in this wonderful home. Beds were extremely comfortable and the linens first class! Thank you so much Kelley, you were more than attentive and great to work with!

Wow!!

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO's around the country but this one by far, exceeds them all. The small details throughout the home made it very apparent that the owners #1 objective was to make sure the guest has a fabulous stay. Snacks, fruit, extra bedding, personal care item . . . . just to name a few things.

We Will Be Back!

I concur with all of the prior 5 Star Reviews. I cannot say enough about the accommodations, location and hospitality of the owner. Not a detail was ignored and our entire group raved about the property. When I received texts from the first couple to arrive at the home, I knew I made the right choice! We felt at home and enjoyed ending our nights sitting in the cozy family room talking. This was our first time traveling to Lewisburg and the town did not disappoint either. Thank you for making our getaway a trip to remember!
