Panoramic Mountain Views!-Fenced Yard-Hot Tub-10 Minutes to Downtown Asheville
Jaw dropping views from this custom built home with 28' high cathedral style ceilings and huge windows looking out on an incredible vista of valley and mountains. Located in convenient N. Asheville/Woodfin area, this property is minutes away from multiple dining and shopping choices and only 10 minutes away from downtown AVL proper and 1 mile off exit 23 on Interstate 26. Blue Vista is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and lots of trees providing privacy between the houses which are spaced generously apart from one another. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 15 minutes north so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

The large deck goes along the entire back of the house and features incredible valley and long range-mountain views. Two covered patios, one with a 4 person hot tub spa that is situated on the deck for maximum viewing pleasure. A screened in porch is on the other side of the deck and allows amazing views while providing protection from rain. The well-equipped kitchen with a center island has all the large stainless steel modern appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. This custom designed home has two beautifully decorated bedrooms on the main floor, both with king sized beds, attached bathrooms and direct access to the outside deck. These bedrooms have vintage reclaimed wood walls (from a generations old barn in Tennessee!) Smart TVs, dressers and large closets. The loft bedroom also has a king sized bed, Smart TV and bathroom and if you leave the barn door open, you will awake to the most amazing view of the mountains you can ever hope to see. Some well appointed touches include ceiling fans in all living/sleeping areas, only 100% cotton bed and bath linens, comfy leather furniture to relax on and a 65" great room Smart flat screen with streaming TV and Netflix. The dining table seats eight comfortably and looks out over the incredible mountain vista. The gas fireplace in the great room provides additional warmth for those chilly nights and the home has central A/C for those balmy mountain evenings. Gas grill, all weather resin dining table/chairs for outside dining and lots of comfortable deck furniture from which to soak in the incredible view. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your pups -up to two for a $75 dog fee. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, Blue Vista has reliable WiFi and cell phone service here is reliable. Lively, downtown Asheville is 10 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. Nearby Merrimon Avenue has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the house. Hiking, rafting and zip lining is in all directions.
The road to the Blue Vista (including the driveway) is mostly paved with the exception of .4 mile section which is gravel and road bonded. This section can get a little bumpy especially after a big rain storm. The upper .4 mile section which is paved all the way to the house, is somewhat steep and is a single lane road. There are pull off sections every 100 feet or so, and not many houses above us on this road, but you may rarely meet another car which will require pulling off to the side. 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless it’s during one of our infrequent snow storms.

Over the last 25 years we have lived all over the country before deciding to make Asheville our permanent home. Tony was in the restaurant business and Birgit was a bookkeeper . We purchased our first vacation rental in 2014 initially as a place we could visit (from our then home in Charlotte) and be able to bring our dogs. We decided to rent it as a vacation rental to help pay the mortgage and before we had a chance to plan a few trips, it booked up for for the summer! We found that we really enjoyed communicating with travelers and the whole crazy vacation rental business! This is our 6th rental and our first ever (and last!) new build property. It;s important that our guests to enjoy their stay in Asheville and feel comfortable and happy in our houses so please always let us know if there's anything we can do to improve your stay should you decide to book with us. We will do everything in our power to make your stay memorable!

We purchased the land from a good friend of ours in late 2020 in the midst of the pandemic and did not consider the issues we might have building at that time. Luckily, we had an awesome builder who was flexible, understanding and able to make our dream house a reality. We wanted a house that had an amazing view but was convenient to Asheville and easy to get to. This house fits the bill and is everything we envisioned!

The view is breathtaking and visible from every room (except the bathrooms and laundry room) We designed the layout and furnished it with our guests in mind. We are planning on finishing the basement in the next 6-12 months with a game room and additional bedroom.
