I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I want to share my experience so future guests know what to expect. The listing didn’t fully match what we arrived to, and a few issues added up over the stay. The biggest problem was the ant and cockroach activity inside the home. There were ants in the kitchen and family room (I had to throw out fruit), and I also saw cockroaches. I didn’t complain to the host until the bugs appeared — those were the straws that broke the camel’s back. The host did offer to send someone out, but I didn’t feel comfortable with chemicals being used while my dog was there. These are things that should’ve been handled before check-in.There were also things that didn’t match the listing: the fridge wasn’t stocked, the yard wasn’t fenced, there was old dog poop in the backyard, the bathroom sink was clogged, lights flickered, the deadbolt on the back door didn’t work, and the blinds in the family room were broken. None of these alone ruined the stay, but together they made it feel off.I reached out to Vrbo support, but they mainly told me to talk to the host, which I had already done, so I didn’t get much help there either.The location was good, but the property needs attention, and the listing needs updated.
