Very Dirty

1) Ants in the Great Room. Didn't bother me but my wife and kids do not like bugs in the home. I had to run to Harris Teeter to purchase insect blocker. 2) I found Band aid in the outdoor shower 3) Sand throughout the house 4) Closet for the master bedroom was locked. My elderly parents had to use random things like chairs and tables etc... to hang their clothes. 5) Found a dead (very stinky) crab in the pool. Pool also had lots of sand. Kids didn't want to swim. 6) The Beach wasn't pretty. My party didn't go in the water. 5) Property Management company was unresponsive after a couple initial requests. I booked a quick trip, without reading the reviews, to celebrate my mother's birthday. In hindsight I wish I had read some of the reviews. This place is decent for a young group of kids looking to have a good time but for a family that it used to cleanliness, this property would not work. The place is being managed by a property management company which clearly doesn't treat the home like its own. I recommend to the owner. Switch out property management companies. Definitely switch out cleaning companies, at the least. Home also needs updating. Hope this helps! Ken

Spring Break getaway 2024

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I with our 2 sons (7 and 9), along with my parents stayed at the house for a week over spring break March 2024. We really enjoyed our stay regardless of the weather not being so great. We used the pool table, the basketball hoop (bring a ball if you would also like to use it though) and the hot tub daily. We were a bit disappointed when we arrived and discovered that the pool was not opened, as promised. Coast Reality remedied the issue in a few days, however, and once the weather got better we were able to use it. We greatly appreciated it! The house is wonderful and very spacious. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but I would recommend bringing things like hand soap, beach/pool towels, all paper products and even a hairdryer. Thanks for a great week! We would return again!

NICE Beach House

The house was very nice. One bathroom could use updating and the half bath outside was kinda scary-but worked!! Pool was nice and good size and the walkway to the beach was great! The sand was SO HOT several days but made the water feel so good!! The rental people are quite frugal with the supplies so just assume you need to bring your own-even salt and pepper. And tip is just wash the linens when you get there or use for exfoliation.

Home Away from Home!

You can not beat the layout of the home, the size of the pool, the parking, and the Beach Access!!!! We had a couple repair instances while at the home, but they were there and FAST!! Communication for this property was perfect and we just could not get over how it fit our LARGE party super well! Would def rent this home again!

Beautiful property

The property is beautiful and the location was ideal. The house was not dirty but there were some oversights in cleaning the floors. I would recommend updating the coffee maker as well. Aside from these 2 minor things we encountered this is a fantastic property and we would definitely stay here again with our entire family!!

Family Vacation

Perfect Home Away From Home

The proximity to the beach and the living spaces were perfect for our joint family vacation with four adults and four teens. The property was clean and well-appointed for eight guests. The decks were fantastic, especially the beach facing ones. The 'sunset' deck was a little dirty but nothing we couldn't deal with.The only elements of dissatisfaction with the property was the number of maintenance issues we dealt with. First was the inability to turn lights on in the garage/hot tub/BBQ area; turns out there was a short in the wires. After diagnosing the problem, it was resolved quickly. Second was that the hot tub wasn't holding water. Luckily the pool man came and was able to fix the problem on his return trip. Third was the pool heater, which was never able to be fixed during our stay. The pool was a big reason we chose this property so not being able to use it was disappointing. All in we had maintenance people visit the property 6-8 times during our stay, which wasn't ideal, thankfully, they were all polite and as undisruptive as possible.All that said, we would stay here again.

Last minute get away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are very happy with our stay at Victoria's View. Our Air BNB was more than disappointing and we had trouble locating a back up until we contacted Coast Realty. They were able to get us into a house at the last minute and for a very reasonable price. While the house definitely needs a serious update on the decor within the house, some drywall repairs need to be completed and we missed having a Keurig, it was comfortable and accommodating.

VERY POORLY MANAGED PROPERTY!

This property was not cleaned properly upon check-in, there were dead crabs in the pool (5!) upon our arrival, the hot tub wasn't working, one of the a/c units was not functioning properly, and there are a lot of deferred maintenance issues. Never again!

Victorias View

This was our first time using VRBO. We had a fantastic experience! The property was gorgeous. We enjoyed the house, the hot tub and the beach. It was a cool, windy week or else the kids would have been in the pool. We would definitely use VRBO again!

Good Views, Quiet Street, Awesome House

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time. Loved the private access to the beach and views from the deck. The top floor was awesome and I loved the split level for the bedrooms. We had a blast and would totally go back!

50th Birthday Beach Break

The online process was very easy. Entry into the home was exceptional. Heather, the property manager was excellent. I called twice with concerns that were handled expeditiously. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the shower stalls. I did did find several areas of built up grime on the floor and walls. The area around the hot tub definitely needed policing. There was built up debris on the cover and all round the tub, which included discarded disposable gloves. There was also sand inside the tub.

What a View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was quite nice and the place was clean in terms of kitchen, bedding and baths. However, the home is in need of some attention with air filters, peeling ceilings, outside wood deteriorating, etc. Also, the agreement indicates pool and hot tub are serviced and cleaned prior to arrival which was clearly not true as both were not working. We never got to use the pool and were without the hot tub for 3 days and did not receive a refund for this.

Good with a catch

I would not suggest this place to more than 3 couples unless you are comfortable sleeping on an air mattress. Third couple will get the room with twin mattresses and it is what I'd call average at best. Two couples get very good master bedrooms.Pros:Amazing kitchen/living room combo with access to deck. Deck provided access to all levels including the pool.Pool was clean and the unit was clean by OBX standardsThe pool was decent size for the area. Lots of outside seating. Outdoor shower was very convenient.There was a dedicated bathroom for the pool areaWine fridge in kitchen was a nice touch. Two laundry units turned out to be very usefulCons:Unit is hard for older people to maneuver. Lots of steps and difficult to get to beach because of the steep dunes. The unit needs some TLC as noted by other guests. Pictures from the website are a bit deceiving. Pull out beds for the most part we're not what I'd call useable for adults for a week.
