The beds were like heaven. Shower had no water pressure and shower head was too high up. Air vents dripped condensation on table and chair.. Should offer an early check in. But it was an amazing trip. Thank you

One of a kind

Sweet little home with everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Loved the lagoon out the back door and Gulf access across the road (10 minute walk). Restaurants, shopping and State park just a short drive, just far enough that traffic is minimal.minimal

Perfect Vacation Spot!

Great location. Close to everything yet still secluded enough to make for a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. It was amazing having quick access to both the bay and the beach. We can’t wait to come back!

Quiet with Great Views

Loved the Crabby Daddy! Was nice to have both lagoon and beach access. Space was laid out well and very nice. Slept 6 people very comfortably.

We enjoyed our stay at Rolf’s Crabby Daddy. The cabin had all the necessary accessories for a family who plans to cook at the location. The neighborhood was peaceful, however the cabin next to us was vacant most of the week so take that evaluation with a grain of salt. The walk was further than ten minutes to the beach. I walk a lot, and it still took me fifteen minutes minimum to reach PUBLIC beach access. There are private accesses everywhere, but then you must be comfortable knocking on someone’s front door and possibly getting permission to walk through their property. Choose your own adventure. One of our family members has a physical disability, so mobility concerns are more acute on our outings. If this is not your situation, then the beach access distance may not be as big of an issue for you. An island of simplicity in an ocean of gaudiness. Bring a few beach cruisers and this place is solid.

Very comfortable

This was a good size house for a small family. Plenty of kitchen utensils and pots and pans to be able to cook at home without going out every night. Very well priced too.

Perfect location for rest and relaxation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location since it was farther out and away from most of the crowds and business, yet close enough that we could do whatever we wanted. Size of the home was perfect for us (two adults) but if you had 3 or 4 small children this would work out as well.

Short walk across the street to the beach. Your access is through Rolf’s Retreat on the beachside. It’s the blue house across the street.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great and the size of the cottage is perfect for a couple or small family. We only stayed 2 nights of our trip, however, as something in the cottage triggered my wife's asthma/allergies and the windows wouldn't open in order to get fresh air.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a magnificent experience renting this beach house! It was beyond clean and the service was amazing! Access to the beach was right across the street and the bay access was directly behind the house so we had private access to both sides! For those Rainey days they had a nice TV and an relaxing place to lounge! With the main strip just minutes down the road there was always things to do and places to eat. I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you want a great experience with you stay at the beach!

Overall fantastic, just a few issues

The patio and place were so cute and it was extremely comfortable! We absolutely loved the deck view overlooking the water and it was just a quick walk to the beach! As for what was included within, there were 5 listed to stay for 4 nights and all we received were two rolls of toilet paper and two trash bags. For that many people and that many days it's just not going to be enough. This place can sleep up to 8 and at $1800 for our stay, we would have thought a couple more rolls as well as some basic items like salt/pepper and sugar would be included. Plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware.

Our review

Overall we were very pleased. Our main complaint was with lighting. We never did find a way to turn on light over kitchen table so we were unable to play the board games and cards we brought at it after dark. Some table lamps didn't turn on.Many outlets seemed to have no power to them so we had to try several before finding ones that would charge our phone. The construction was unexpected but we were okay with that. The construction manager saw us outside and apologized for the fact that we had to have that going on . He was very nice. Mostly we had a great time!
