We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront house! We’d definitely stay here again. The layout was great, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook comfortably. Also close to town. The house has a relaxed, rustic charm, clean and comfortable (especially the beds!). The beachfront location was truly amazing and made the whole trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, laid back beach getaway.

Wonderful Cabin

The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Just a wonderful vibe. I loved the beach view too. Everyone enjoyed their stay!

Perfect five days

Our family loved our stay. Our boys asked if we could stay forever and us adults were sad as well to have to pack up and go. We look forward to making it a yearly visit to Beaver Island.

Perfect beach house

We loved staying here. Plenty of space, great condition and cleanliness, and most of all beautiful views and beach. John was very easy to contact and responsive.

Excellent BI rental!

Beautiful location on Sand Bay. Everything you need is right there to enjoy both the indoors and out. Very clean and great communication with the owner. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice destination property

Great location! Never felt like we wanted to leave the beach and the view. Sunrises and starry skies. If you actually need a place for eleven people, the one small bath could be a minor inconvenience.

Another amazing week!

Such a great week at Bunka! Four bedrooms - comfy beds - great open kitchen area. The deck and beach area are amazing - large deck with nice table and relaxing chairs, a big Sandy beach. The water was pretty warm too! Loved using the paddle boards. Overall a great stay.

Sand Bay beach cottage

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Cottage had everything we needed. It was lovely to spend time and some meals on the deck overlooking the water. Sandy beach was great for relaxing and walking the whole bay. Bottom line - we’d gladly stay here again. Ray & Diana

Peaceful stay on the bay

Great base location for island stay and easy to explore from. Cottage is a mix of old, rustic charm and modern conveniences (dishwasher, instapot, ninja blender, wifi, smart TV, comfortable bed). Plenty of outdoor entertainment and seating for the deck, beach and bonfire. Owner communications (check in, instructions for stay and departure) were thorough.

Great Stay!

We came to this cabin in October for a week long stay to explore Beaver Island and check out some land we purchased the year prior, as our first time on the island the home we rented did not disappoint, it was clean and cozy feeling from the start of our trip to the end, the firepit on the beach was a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy the night, the star gazing off the deck between midnight and 2AM is absolutely unlike anything we've ever experienced, we cannot wait to book our next trip here. 5 Stars from our group!!

Calm and Peaceful Getaway

Our stay was lovely! Waking up and walking out with a cup of coffee just steps away from amazing Lake Michigan took our breath away each day. Sand Bay is beautiful and we loved being able to walk our puppy on the sand and wade out into the crystal clear water. The home has everything you need and more. We wanted a peaceful and quiet place to getaway from the hustle and this stay was just what we needed!

A wonderful cottage, great location, fantastic amenities, and the flora/fauna are amazing. Only wish we had known about the car/ferry schedule in advance as the Saturday ferries to Beaver Island are quite popular...
