We had a really fantastic stay. Sarah has one of the best appointed VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen was well stocked, there were books and board games and even sand toys for kids. The beach was also wonderful, complete with chairs and a fire pit.

Great spot on Beaver Island at Cleveland’s Big Chill. We had a fantastic time and house was perfect. Sarah is a great host - fantastic communication and guidance for the island.

Our favorite family getaway

We have been staying at Cleveland’s Big Chill off and on for many years and it never disappoints. We love the beach access and quietness of the woods. Sarah is a great property manager and made sure our family was welcomed.

Great location on Sand Bay. Our group of four adults and three teens enjoyed the house and amenities. The only negative was (1) the cell phone service (we have Verizon/Visible) was spotty at best, and (2) the WiFi Internet speed was so slow it was only useful to check email. But, hey, unplugged enhanced serenity.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The property provided a perfect environment for comfort, relaxation and quality family time. The beach is just steps away so the view is glorious - complete with an appearance of the northern lights! Thank you to Sarah for a perfect booking experience, and the welcoming coffee cake as well!

Great Experience!

We had a fantastic time at Cleveland’s Big Chill. Great house and location on the island. Right on the beach, easy swimming, and perfect for the kids. Sarah was a great host and very responsive. House had everything we needed and made our first trip to the island easy.

Cleveland's Big Chill was delightful place to stay. With 4 bedrooms, there was plenty of room for our family vacation. We were all together, but everyone had their own space. Waking up to a view of the sun coming up over Lake Michigan was amazing!Sarah, the host was responsive and answered all of my questions.One thing that I want to clarify for the next guests. I was concerned about the drinking water, thinking it was from a well. We brought water, but it really was not needed. The water was fine to drink, but it did have a slight tint because of the tannin in it. Overall it was a great stay.

This property never disappoints. The beach and breathtaking waterfront views are truly exceptional, and the stargazing from the beach at night is simply unforgettable. If you're looking for a place to create lasting family traditions and cherished memories, I cannot recommend this property highly enough.Our family returns every August, and it has become a tradition that our children and grandchildren eagerly anticipate each year. Spending a week together at the Cleveland Big Chill on Beaver Island has given us countless memories.The host is outstanding and genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every aspect of your stay is comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. Her attention to detail and commitment to her guests truly set this property apart.We wholeheartedly recommend this property and look forward to returning in 2027
