Private newly remodeled cozy cabin near Watauga Lake. A covered porch with a swing and rocking chairs to enjoy nature. A fire pit to sit around roasting marshmallows, enjoying life and nature. An electric fireplace to warm you up. This cabin is .5 miles from Watauga Lake Beach. We have covered parking for your boat at the cabin. Enjoy all the activities on the lake or if you don’t have a boat you can Rent one at the nearby marina’s or take a guided fishing trip. There are some of the best down home southern cooking restaurants close by. Visit the Watauga dam. The cabin is .5 miles from Laurel Falls Hiking. Enjoy hiking the Blue Hole waterfalls in Elizabethton TN and the beautiful Elk River Falls in Banner Elk NC. Take a beautiful drive on the Tweetsie R.R. Trail in Hampton TN. Come enjoy the Bristol Races. We are 31 miles to Beach Mountain and 37 miles to skiing at Boone NC, 2 hour drive to Dollywood, 20 miles to Johnson city. 20 minutes to Roan Mountain. Visit the town where Popcorn Sutton made his moonshine, “Copperhead Road” was an actual road near Mountain City that is near by.

The lake house was perfect! It was clean, and had everything we needed. We came for the fall race at BMS and the commute was easy and took about 30 minutes. Did not have time to visit the surrounding areas but it was beautiful. To check in the cabin an app had to be downloaded and used to lock and unlock the door, so I was worried about having service and my phone battery life the whole time. If you want privacy this is the one for you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Tony was incredible! Very prompt to answer text messages etc. Gave some wonderful recommendations regarding the surrounding area. The cottage was beautiful and well appointed and comfortable. It was absolutely spotless when we checked in. The bed was comfortable and the couch was great… I must say I fell asleep at least once in that recliner! Awesome host, awesome stay

The inside was nicely decorated and clean. The outside needed some work done. There was some loose boards on the deck and walkways in the front. Was nice sitting on the porch. Didn't like the idea that we had to take sheets off bed , take towels and put everything in hamper and trash out to trash can. Its very hard to see where the driveway is at night. Needs a better marking!

Good little house. We enjoyed our stay. Tony was quick to help with a technical issue. The house is on a traveled street, but it was pretty quiet inside. There is a faint hint of smoke in the house if you have a sensitive nose.

Overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very clean and everything worked. The deck and porch roof can use some TLC but we had a great time and enjoyed our stay here.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin! The host was wonderful and helpful and went above and beyond to make it a great experience! The cabin was very, very clean and perfect for what I needed! I hope to stay there again!

BE VERY WARY OF THIS HOST.Our experience with this host was extremely disappointing and concerning. After our stay, the host accused us of causing damage and submitted documentation as “proof” of the claim. The problem? The documentation was incomplete, false and did not accurately support the accusation.When we challenged the claim and asked the host to provide additional information and clarification, the host simply stopped responding to VRBO. No answers. No explanation. No willingness to substantiate the accusation.It is incredibly frustrating to be accused of something you did not do and then have the person making the accusation disappear when asked to provide legitimate evidence.If you stay here, protect yourself. Take extensive photos and videos of EVERYTHING when you arrive and again when you leave. Document the condition of the property, even things that seem insignificant. Keep every message, photo, and piece of documentation.This experience completely changed how I will approach VRBO rentals in the future. It is deeply troubling that a host can make a damage allegation based on documentation we believe was false, yet apparently face little accountability when they cannot—or will not—back up the claim.Renters: protect yourselves. Document everything. Don’t assume that being an honest, respectful guest is enough to protect you from an unfounded claim.We would absolutely not stay at this property again.

Its unfortunate that you don’t want to take responsibility for your actions and actions of your pets unfortunately you must accept responsibility for damages caused by your pets you know that you lied about your pets from the beginning of your stay. When you brought 2 dogs and paid for one then tried to claim you didn’t. As far as proof of damages you were being unreasonable anyone can continue to say more proof Vrbo settles these claims based upon reasonable facts. Not falsehoods.

the cabin was clean but the door lock through the app was troublesome. it didnt work half the time and you had to keep accessing the app multiple times to lock and unlock the door. also the tv will not work without your own roku account. i have roku and tried for over an hour and it wouldnt work. so se had no tv. the ac unit in the master bedroom was not working properly either. the bedroom was not getting cool.

Cabin was super cute, lake is close by, perfect place, stayed here for our daughter’s softball tournament in Johnson City. Tony was very accommodating when we had to arrive a day early!
