Spread out on the raised, wraparound deck or enjoy al fresco dining and shady lounging on the ground-floor patio. Guests in the upper bedroom will enjoy canal views from a private balcony or lounge in the spacious loft.

The main floor features a bright, open layout with contemporary design and furnishings. The kitchen is equipped with a full suite of stainless steel appliances and gorgeous, custom counters providing plenty of space for the home chef to flex their muscles. The island prep station doubles as a dining counter with seating for four. Leather sofas and a smart TV in the living room provide a comfortable place to relax and unwind inside. The downstairs in-law suite includes a wet bar, fridge, microwave, and dining table seating for four.

It was the most horrible weekend of my life. This house wasn’t clean at all it had an ugly smell. Not as expected there was dry blood on the rail of the stairs,The bathroom doors, did not closed all the way. And the most horrible. Thing was that we were about to used the extra pillows. And they were infested with ants.ugly, ugly , ugly. Don’t rent this property

Great house!

I had an awesome time at this rental. I can't say one bad thing about this place. Well, just one thing. The mosquitos. They were HORRIBLE!! But of course, that was no fault of the property owner. Any questions, issues or concerns were responded in a quick manner. I would definitely love to rent this property again. I just wish check in was early in the morning and check out was at least later in the evening so we can enjoy the property longer. But I know that's just the way things are with all rentals.

NASTY!!!

Within 10 mins of being in the house, my grandson's feet were black! We did not go barefoot the rest of our time here. Do not lean on the deck handrails unless you want to go to the ER. The amount of strangers’ hair on the bathroom floor was beyond disgusting. There are no cleaning supplies for us to clean up after ourselves, No trash bags to take the trash out as requested at check out. One cheap roll of paper towels that we used just trying to clean up the place the minute we got here. None of the tv remotes worked but 1 and we had to scavenge to find it and the batteries. The fan remotes do not work, and they have “do not use” on the fans' switches. Keep the thermostat at 70 degrees but “do not use” the fans! Sheets are put on inside out or stained; not sure they were even changed before our arrival. Towels are new but unwashed and leave you covered in fuzz. It is very obvious the pics are really old/filtered because this place looks nothing like what the house actually is. You can see how well-used that pole is in the living-room! Yard unmowed. Walls and baseboards are filthy. Filter to the ac filthy! 1st floor that my elderly parent stayed in reeks of mold and had bugs. The 3rd-floor bedroom has no bathroom and extremely steep narrow stairs that are not pictured. I asked for a refund of the cleaning fee and damage deposit, he agreed but is now asking us for $250 for leaving the outside shower/hose on. WE NEVER TOUCHED THE OUTSIDE SHOWERS!!! Plenty more but limited space

great for my family!

My family and I came down for the week and stayed here, it’s pretty close to everything and really quiet neighborhood. I loved the porch and swing and the bedrooms were nice. Only thing you should look out for is when it storms, sometimes the door leaks, but other than that it wasn’t a huge issue and I loved everything else about it.

Disappointed

Screws on deck raised up, trip hazard plus you can’t walk barefoot with the fear of ripping the skin off. Yard needed mowed bad. 3rd story bedroom very hot, needs its own A/C Fan in main bedroom missing blade so fan is unusable along with light. Large bathroom: shower rod very rusty, shower curtain dirty, shower so dark with curtain shut we couldn’t even see to shower (didn’t use it). Downstairs bedroom smelled (very strong) like bug cleaner & The ceiling needs repaired, like it could fall in. No utensils in downstairs kitchen The door for entry into downstairs has a hinge so loose we had to raise up the door just to shut it. There are no closets, which means no where to hang clothes other than a small one by kitchen. Dryer squeaks very bad, it could not be ran while trying to sleep. The second story key only works on the bedroom exit door, we had to unlock it then walk thru the house and unlock other door, not convenient nor private for those in that bedroom. We were notified after checking in, that the second story microwave (main kitchen) was broken and we would need to heat up our food downstairs (another annoying inconvenience). I could list more but I’m tired of typing. To sum this up, this place needs a remodel before I would recommend staying there.

Property w/potential but.......

Overall, property presented differently than what we found when we checked in. Property owner was communicative but concerns not addressed. Mold in many ceiling vents. Island lights flickered at high position. Internet/TV not working. Smoke detectors located in dresser drawer in kitchen. We were informed of water damage to roof w/repairs prior to arrival. No evidence seen. AC filter obviously not cleaned recently & AC plugged into strip not the wall. Owner stated took over property in Jan and we were 2nd guest to stay. He said property in process of repairs but this VRBO user under impression that said repairs (not storm related) need to be completed prior to listing this property. Owner did refund 20% of total charge. This guest is disappointed with this amount and feel all but the cleaning fee should have been refunded for the numerous (and admitted) issues. Pictures of black mold spots in kitchen ceiling vents clearly show a potential health issue, not including the safety issues with non functional smoke detectors and AC electric supply.

Great house

The house was perfect for our family and friend. The privacy of the downstairs suite was perfect along with the shared family space upstairs. There was a beach access close by, and lots of beach toys to borrow. The outdoor showers were especially convenient after a long day at the beach and we were very happy to see that they even had hot water. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic house

Beautiful home with an amazing location. It is way away from the amenities of the osland but thats what we loved about it. Neighborhood was quiet and just minutes to the beach. Host is absolutely fantastic and makes sure you have everything you need and responds quick. Great place overall and will be back for sure.

family vacation 1st one

really nice inlaw suite,has a odor like dead fish,drape was hanging half way only curtain rod mounting bracket was broke and laying on microwave table.trash can was sitting in coke syrup on floor,trash bag was full.the house was nice.the trash cans outside 1 was full and magetts were all on concrete slab.We cleaned it up with the water hose.and took all trash and cans to street.We left new sand toys for the next family and 2 new water boards for the next kids.the bikes would have been cool but tires were flat.fishing poles was very cool,we just had no time left to fish.Wish we could have stayed longer.thank you for having us.overall we loved it.Nobody is perfect not even us.We hope you find the house satisfactory upon us leaving.Hope we did all we needed to. Thank you for trusting are family.

Great Prom weekend

We enjoyed our stay for our event. Our host Jared was great and accommodating of our needs. Super friendly neighborhood, A neighbor stopped and gave us ice cream. Would recommend the place to family and friends! Thank you Jared for being a really nice host.

Perfect Little Get Away

My family and I decided to take a small vacation for spring break and this house is more than worth the money. We had everything that we needed at our finger tips and we were within driving distance for any other needs. I would definitely reserve this property again for my family of 7 and our fur baby.

Amazing Place

Amazing place that I wish we could stay forever but all good things must end however the memories last a lifetime. Well furnished, happy people, smiling faces, and clean, nice, safe, etc.. you get the point. If your not staying here you might want to reconsider your life choices.

Loved the House! Enjoyed our stay!

We stayed 10 days and enjoyed our stay. The house was large and allowed us all privacy when needed. Ground level area was always a great cool gulf breeze and nice to sit out and watch kids play in large open fields that surround property. The apartment was a great add to this rental. Main floor was the heart and soul of the house- the wrap around porch was amazing and great for watching the sunset it allowed us to hang out and enjoy the evenings. the open floor concept to the main floor house was great when cooking, watching tv and large enough for us all to be in one area at one time indoors. We absolutely loved this house and would defiantly stay again. the washer and dryer was a huge plus, there was always plenty of towels and pillows labeled in cabinets and drawers all around the house. Kitchen was equipped with all we need. The host Jared was GREAT and was always available when needed, he was a quick response to any and all questions. the crows nest room had the best view overlooking the whole neighborhood, the canal and water views. Captain Quarters room was very spacious and had its own access to porch. Only bad thing we kept having to move the couch away from wall to watch tv cause the tv hangs right under couch, there is a fireman pole in living room and makes the seating a bit weird but we adjusted. Kitchen faucet seems too short for the large sink, and the right refrigerator door doesn't open very wide due to french doors to the "Captains Quarters Room" . All these were my options and even after all that said NONE of this would stop us from booking this house again. The drive to the Seawall Strand if you plan on spending alot of time on Seawall Blvd it is a 30 minute drive each way. Although this house is on West End Beach area there are restaurants and bars on this end. It a very quiet and clean area.

Bachelorette weekend

This house was an okay house. When we got there, we found no rules or information on the property as most Vrbo houses have. We were unsure of the exiting process to leave the home. We had no idea where things were and had a very difficult time locating within the house. Towels were not in an ideal location. While looking for the towels we came across someone’s dirty underwear under the bathroom counter. We also found a dirty swimsuit in the dryer. When trying to take out the trash, no bags were left for us and the big trash cans outside were 90% of the way full. We constantly kept finding small bugs on the counter and floors by the beds. There were also dirty plates tucked under our bed from the last guest. We paid for a cleaning service ahead of time and I’m not sure that it was done properly. The lighting outside was very poor, and only on one side of the house. I was going up the stairs late at night and could not see and an opossum was sitting on the porch waiting for me. We also had no stairs on the inside to connect the down stairs room to the rest of the house. So we had friends who were separated from the rest of the group. Uber does not come out that far. So if your goal is to be in Galveston and on the strand and such I would suggest something different. The beds were comfortable and showers were fine. I give this a 3 out of 5 stars. Would not stay again for a bachelorette weekend. You are also a drive from the beach.
