Thanksgiving Family time

The cottage was a cozy getaway for our family of 5 to have our Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen was surprisingly we stocked for the heavy cooking that we did. The beds were all quite comfortable. Coming in at night is a little tricky to find. A solar light, lighting the address sign could really help.

Cosy cottage

The cosy cottage was perfect for our family: Enough space, well equipped kitchen, nice veranda. We enjoyed a lot the walk to the beach!

Cozy Cottage

The cottage is very charming and gave us a very welcoming cozy feeling. It was great for our young family of 4 having two beds rooms and the full bathroom on the main level. Location is nestled close to clavert cliff state park with a short drive to Solomons Island. Only negatives were the lack of dishwasher, odd smelling water, and beaches in the area are majority private.

Weekend Getaway

We had a three night stay at this quaint cottage. It was perfect for what we needed. 3 adults and 3 kids toddler to 7 years old worked well. Porch out front was nice to sit in the evenings and neighbor was friendly. Road was busy at times but quiet other times. Easy access to parks and a quick travel to Solomon’s island. Kitchen has your basic needs and a smaller fridge. Only caution is smaller staircase up to two bedrooms up stairs with low ceilings but otherwise very nice. We enjoyed our stay and if you’re looking for a clean and functional house for a few nights this was it!! Thank you for a great weekend 🙂

Perfect Cottage

We were a group of seven adults, and we found the cottage to be absolutely perfect for us. There were four roomy bedrooms with great a/c, a cute family room, nice porch, and the kitchen was full of everything we needed to cook. We spent some time at the Calvert Cliffs beach, North Beach, Chesapeake, Solomon Island, and went across the bridge to the movie theater and some restaurants. There was a Seaglass festival and terrific fireworks. We had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this location to anyone trying to get away from it all, but still be close enough to things like Starbucks, grocery stores, and plenty of good restaurants. Highly recommend Baia Italian restaurant in Chesapeake Beach and the sliders restaurant in North Beach.

Perfect get away

Host communication was prompt. House was very clean. Keyless entry was flawless. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of pots and pans, utensils, good knives, variety of glasses, basic spices, coffee, tea and cleaning supplies. Linens were very nice. Plenty of hot water and TP. Host supplied firewood for fire pit just bring a lighter. Refrigerator is a bit on the smaller side but not a problem for us. Good place and fair price. We will return in the future.

Perfect place to explore Calvert County

This is a great clean , modern, nice property to access and explore Calvert Cliffs and the wider county activities, museums, and shore area. Would highly recommend.

Great country cottage

We had a great stay! The location was easy to find and everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The property makes you feel at home. There are trails across the street and the town is only 5 minutes away if you need a store. The area is beautiful, especially the cliffs!!

Family Getaway

We had our adult children and spouses meet us for a getaway to visit family in the area. The house was super clean and very quaint! We did miss having a cork screw though. Perfect location for seeing Solomons and So. Maryland.

3 week stay for Calvert Cliffs outage

I've stayed at this property for many years when it was owned by a pervious owner. Overall the property has not changed to much. However I did notice in the bedrooms they got rid of the desks/dressers and no place to unpack and put your clothes away. The water still has quite a sulfur smell to it. The water also doesn't seem to stay warm for to long. Overall it's a great place and location for us. I would recommend also putting a larger refrigerator back in the kitchen.

Love Calvert County

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and we LOVE it! Nice 4 bedrooms and 2 baths which gives us plenty of room. We are close to town, attractions and family making this a perfect location. Everything was wonderful amd Emma is great! Thanks for everything!!

Relaxing place

A group of 5 rented this property for a 5 day trip to an event at the local race track. Very peaceful and quiet. Great communication with the owner. Ease of checking in and checking out

The Calvert Cliffs Cottage sits on a country road 2 minutes drive from the entrance to famous Calvert Cliffs State Park. For the avid hiker, you can access one of the many trailheads entering the park directly in front of our home (avoid paying for parking at the park!). Take a look at the photo featured on our listing to see the location of the trail.

8 minutes drive from the cottage is Flags Pond Nature Park & 22 minutes from the house is Jefferson Patterson Park. Both locations have beaches accessible to the public for a fun day of water and beautiful landscapes. Flags Pond also allows fishing during open season.

Ready for restaurants, charming shops, and a scenic boardwalk? 9 minutes drive down the road is the historic "fishing village" of Solomons Island. Known for it's great seafood and charming bay atmosphere. Don't miss the Calvert Marine Museum - great for adults and kids alike!

Built in the 1940s The Calvert Cliffs Cottage brings together historic charm and modern finishes for a truly "Chesapeake" feel.

The main living area of the cottage offers a master bedroom with king bed and a second bedroom with painted rod-iron double mattress. A full bath with tub and shower is located downstairs off the living room and a small half-bath is upstairs conveniently located near two more bedrooms, both with queen beds. Our kitchen is fully stocked and guests can expect all needed essentials for a great day at the beach or backyard cookout.

Apple TV, Wifi, and keyless entry allow for the optimum convenience during your stay. Outside our fire pit, picnic table with umbrella, and a large sitting porch invite you to enjoy our serene setting.

Traveling with a little one? Our home has a portable pack'n'play with mattress and sheets. Let us know ahead of time and we'll make sure it's ready for your visit.

What do guests love most about our home? Guests love our country setting - life slows down and the rush of our daily lives slips away. Our space is designed for a relaxing and no-stress get-away. This is our personal vacation home and stocked with all the things we like to enjoy with our family - plus a few things extra!
