Beautifully furnished Classic cottage in the village

Designed by renowned architect Tom Sheperd, this cottage is located in historical "Park Row" district, located in the center of the village.

Charming, invitingly comfortable, and elegantly furnished, this cottage offers a delightful Old World atmosphere. Antique furnishings, luxurious silk drapes add to the relaxing atmospere of this California classic.

Walking distance to the beaches, restaurants, museums and galleries. Peaceful and soothing, this home is filled with light.

Master Bedroom # 1
The Beautiful Master has a queen bed, Duxiana mattress, luxury linens, down comforters and pillows. Large closets and dresser. Light and bright w/ black out curtains.

Second Master
This room is also beautifully decorated. A King Bed, luxury linens with down comforters. Access to an enclosed side patio w/ a gate. Closet and dresser. Light and bright.

Living Room
A large Living Room has very comfortable seating arrangements, down sofas, a large wood burning fireplace, along with a beamed double height ceilings. This is a wonderful room to either relax or entertain in.

Television/Reading Room
This room has a 42" flat screen HDTV w/ DVR, cable, desk for working that overlooks the interior courtyard.

The Dining Room seats 6-8, and the private interior courtyard has outdoor cushioned seating for relaxing as well as outdoor dining to enjoy.

This cottage is a peaceful, serene space located in the Village Of La Jolla. The park of Park Row sits adjasent to the property, it's a perfect place for the dogs to play. Walking distance to the Cove Beach, restaurants, museums, galleries and everything the Village has to offer.

Beautiful 'cottage' type home in a great district of La Jolla. 5 minute walk from everything! Host was very responsive. Property is delightful. Wall to wall carpets need to be cleaned.As is typical in this area, no A/C - but normally that isn't a problem even in the summer. Plenty of windows / doors for nice cross breeze. Nice yard with BBQ. Home is located at corner of busy street so there is some street noise. No off street parking which sometimes presents a challenge. Overall, A very good rental.

Ideally located for La Jolla and the surrounding areas, this house is a gem. Very comfortable and incredibly clean. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay. Really very special.

We loved staying at this home. It was comfortable and charming and provided us with everything we needed. It was in a beautiful neighborhood and close to everything so we could walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. We hope to go back soon!

Parking was terrible problem. Only street parking. Constant frustration. Years ago the cottage was probably beautiful. Now it needs new carpets (very stained), and the interior needs to be painted. The living room furniture was covered with white sheets and the furniture underneath was stained. The beds were comfortable. We stayed at the home for one month and did have fun in the area.

Phyllis, Yes parking in La Jolla during the months of July and August are difficult, it's moved into the residential neighborhoods. The sheets are are on the furniture as it's dog friendly, many guests allow their pets on the furniture, this allows for a more thorough cleaning between each guest, plus I always liked the way it looks. I am glad you enjoyed La Jolla.

Our stay was wonderful. The only reason I gave 4 stars to the accuracy of the listing is because the listing said there was street parking. There was, in fact, street parking, but there were so many people who park in the neighborhood to use the beach and to go to the Village, that parking was practically unavailable. We had to double park in order to unload the car and then we had to park several blocks away after circling for about 20 minutes. It would be a bonus if there was some way to dedicate a parking space for this cottage. Otherwise, we loved it!

Wonderful stay in La Jolla

My family and I really enjoyed staying at the property. It is in a great location and very spacious to host several people. The furniture and bed are comfortable. Some of the furniture is a little older and some sheet surfaces could use a little cleaning, but overall very wonderful property.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming La Jolla rental. It was even better equipped than expected, every detail felt thoughtfully considered, which made settling in easy and comfortable.The location couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s centrally located and within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring the area effortless.Anna was kind, communicative, and clearly takes pride in the property. You can tell this home is genuinely cared for and loved by a family, not just managed as part of a large rental operation. That personal touch really made a difference.We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautifully decorated home with plenty of space for two couples! Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and the patio was lovely for enjoying breakfast. The home is in a great location that's walkable to beaches and plenty of restaurants. Check in and out was super simple. Host was friendly and responsive to questions. Would recommend for a stay in La Jolla!

Good location with older house with charm. Stayed here with my teenage daughter. I loved opening the windows and letting the breeze cool the house and my daughter loves reading in the bat window. Wished we had longer to enjoy the patio.

Cottage Delight

This cottage is quaint and located in a perfect spot to explore all that La Jolla has to offer. Easy walking access to village restaurants and La Jolla cove. It’s a perfect couples retreat and communicating with the property owner was a breeze. 5 stars for a memorable stay!

Wedding weekend

Stayed for our daughter's wedding. Perfect location, walking distance to the cove and wedding venue. It was also great to have a dog friendly place. Had everything we needed for our stay.

Perfect Location

Wonderful property and location; shops, restaurants and groceries within walking distance. Very comfortable stay and easy communication with Anna. Some items such as paper towels and more than one dishwasher pod would be useful. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely stay there again and/ or recommend to others. Thank you Anna!

Darling Cottage

This charming cottage decorated with antiques and, oh so many books, was perfect for our weekend. Its location made it an easy walk into town and the coast walking trail. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed, except salt and pepper in the kitchen. (I realize that’s a very minor thing.). The bed was comfortable as well. We would stay here again the next time we visit San Diego.

La Jolla Charm

Kinda like visiting Grandma’s unique and interesting 90 year old cottage in one of America’s most beautiful “villages.” Tons of space for 4 adults and a dog, very comfortable beds and furniture too, fantastic kitchen and laundry appliances, almost unbeatable location a couple blocks from downtown AND the coastal walk. The property does back up to a busy street so the quaint and peaceful-looking garden usually comes with quite a bit of traffic noise. Total peace and quiet inside the house at all times though. We would gladly stay here again.

great location. Dated and aging but clean. Hot water limited somewhat for four of us and dishwasher and washing machine I think need a tune up. Noisy. Overall though, good value for the area.

Alan, Happy you enjoyed your time in La Jolla. The cottage was built in 1928, it's one of the early cottages in the Village, built by the well known architect Tom Sheppard. The washer and dryer are top of the line & new, as is the Wolf Range. Most of my guests enjoy the location of the cottage as well as it's charm. Best

Well, the home is charming, cute, and the location is amazing. Cute little patios and lots of charm and flora. The street behind is busy and only heard while in the backyard. Inside it is quiet. My only improvement would suggest remove much of the contents as it is overly filled. This said, it is like going to grandmas. The second shower is limited on privacy. Location makes up for 99% of the challenges. Owner is sweet.

Charming cottage walkable to beaches

We liked the property overall and enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much, Anna! Things we liked: Comfortable beds Great main bathroom shower Washer and dryer Lots of seating Lots of towels, including beach towels (so grateful to find those) Charming older cottage in a lovely neighborhood Walkable to La Jolla Cove, La Jolla Shores Beach (there is a coastal trail a short walk down Park Row) and shops Responsive host Things we didn't like: The kitchen gets extremely hot when using the oven. Torrey Pines Road is SO LOUD. It was not peaceful to spend time on the patio, which was sad because the patio is beautiful. La Jolla is a great place to vacation and we are happy that we had a chance to visit and stay in Anna's home. Endless hot water
