NEW PROPERTY 2022! Tucked into the trees with picturesque views of the Kalamazoo River this charming home is one of a kind. Located on quiet & serene Park Street you'll be within walking distance to Mt Baldhead Park & just a five minute drive up to Oval Beach; downtown Douglas & Saugatuck are both just a five minute drive away as well. This home offers 3 stories of living space for your whole group to spread out & enjoy all of the amazing views. The main level of the home features a kitchen open to a large living room. Just off the living area is a classic dining room with windows all around. The lower level of the home features two bedrooms (queen in master & twin over full bunk with additional trundle) plus a full bathroom. Located on top level of the home is the second bedroom featuring a large layout with two queen beds & room for a pack n play. The best features of this home are the many outdoor spaces to enjoy nature all around. The screened in porch is the perfect place for morning coffee or curling up with a book. French doors off both the main level & lower level living rooms each offer additional outdoor space for relaxing & enjoying views of the river.

Sweet Treetop Cottage

This is a cozy spot with easy access to Mt. Baldhead and Chain Ferry. We enjoyed the cute porch to relax.

Overall great experience and location. A larger supply of towels and pillows would have been nice to have. Also the limited space in the dishwasher made things a little more difficult for a group of 8 people. Overall would rent again.

To sum it up: This property is very tired . We had only one tiny functioning shower for 5 adults . The main shower did not work (water diverter valve was nonfunctional). We checked in on a Saturday and discovered the problem that night . Bella Vita Management company sent a maintenance man over Sunday . He left a mess and proceeded to break the faucet handle so we couldn’t use the tub either . A plumber came Monday . He fixed the diverter ( he said) but was not prepared to fix the faucet handle so we still couldn’t use the main shower . We left on Tuesday morning . Imagine how long it took for 5 adults to get ready with one tiny shower ! The kind where your elbows touch the sides when you’re washing your hair . Plus lugging Dopp kits and towels to the ancillary shower when it finally was your turn to shower .You should also know that the kitchen is filled with a hodge podge of greasy old utensils, dishes, pots and appliances . Finally, many screens have holes in them so we couldn’t enjoy the screened in porch or casement windows without suffering through mosquitos , gnats and spiders I have asked Bella Vita for a partial refund but have not heard back . Do not deal with this management company !

Very sorry for the faucet issue, there are some things that simply are out of our control if they happen to break. When you called us Saturday night to let us know we offered to come immediately and you declined. We then came out on Sunday in hopes we could fix it as a plumber was not available until Monday morning. Although not obligated, we also sent you a check in the amount of $325 for your troubles (that you cashed) but chose to say otherwise in your review). Unfortunately based on what happened and when it happened made the circumstances even more challenging and we apologize but we certainly made every attempt to get it fixed. As for kitchen supplies this is the first complaint we’ve received and will certainly take a look to see if there are items that need to replacing.

Great location, clean

They were able to get us in a little early, which I appreciated considering it was a busy weekend for the town. The place was nicer than expected and very clean. Only downside was that the refrigerator did not keep anything cold and we were left with spoiled food. The host was not great at getting back to us as I had submitted the fridge issue early on Saturday. The bunk bed in the basement area was a little bit unstable & the bed in the attic did not have a top sheet. Overall stay was enjoyable minus those few challenges.

Too many issues with the property which require more than just a good cleaning. The area, however, is quite lovely.

Neat, clean and well equipped, more parking and master privacy needed

The home was very neat and clean and the kitchen was the most well equipped we have ever rented. More parking is needed since there was parking for only 2 cars. The full glass entry doors to the master bedroom and shared master bath lacked privacy. The blinds did not cover the glass and were installed on the outside of the doors. A second recycle bin is needed since that is picked up only once a month
