The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to.

October stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was very nice, the only complaints I would have would be the sliding glass door did not function at all in the bedroom and only partially working in the living room. Also there was no designated guest parking spot for this unit, so if the two visitor spots were taken, it could be a bit of a walk. Loved the unit though!

Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You can't beat the view from this condo! The unit was nicely decorated and well equipped and the AC was essential to our stay. The Surf and Racquet Club is a short drive from Kona and walking distance to a decent snorkeling beach. There's also a shopping center just minutes away which was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Propert/Condo Beautiful - Property Mgr. Sad

I would like to start off by saying that the Condo and loaction was overall beautiful. Unfortunately the Property manager acted like a spoiled little Toddler when we called to ask about certain issues. 1st the air condition units (remotes) as well as TV (Remotes) needed new batteries. No problem, we fixed that.. 2nd, out of 4 sliding doors, only one worked (barely). Signs advised not to open them until they get fixed. 3rd, Parking was only available at the Guest spots, which usually had been occupied by the time we came home for dinner. That ment walking in pooring rain. All that is not readon to have a bad time, but when we called the Priperty Manager to ask what is planned, we got told right away, that we bothered him during dinner, repairs on the doors are not planned (we stayed 2 weeks) and if we dont like it, we could leave and find something else. All we asked for is "Sorry for the inconvenience". Again, the unit is great, but I will make sure to not do business again with Knutson & Associates

Beautiful resort

Loved the ground level ocean view, grounds and property. Everything we wanted with easy access to beaches, snorkeling, turtles, restaurants and grocery stores including Costco!

Beautiful condo

The condo was just perfect for two couples. It was clean and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay watching the sunset every night. Plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby. Especially recommend Sunset Kai Lanai.

Perfect spot

The condo was perfect for two couples. The unit kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There was an abundance of towels, hand towels and washcloths. The patio was a great spot to watch the sunsets. The property management company checked in with us to see if everything was okay.

Spectacular view and great AC

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view of ocean, although oceanfront there is no noise disruption got quiet sleep. AC worked great and was very comfortable indoor temperature. Great tile floors throughout all the way out to lanai. Washer and dryer the cleanest I’ve experienced in the 8 consecutive years visiting the islands. Furnishings are old, bed is lumpy. Several light bulbs were not working, most notably the pendant lamps over kitchen island. Guest toilet runs if not tended to. Window covering for bedroom don’t go all the way to the mirrored wall creating huge peekaboo, lacking privacy for bedroom area. Biggest drawback no designated parking spot, and not enough visitor parking for the 2 buildings sharing the lot, only 2 spots for 2 buildings. Additional spaces available 2 buildings away.

Assorted swim accessories in chest on lanai.Cons: bedroom off the Living room is not private-the sliding screens do not block out any sounds or light from the LR. No dresser in same bedroom-no place to put large luggage pieces Parking in Visitor spaces -only 2 available for the 2 bldgs in our parking lot. A little walk to other parking lots.Overall- I’d stay again-loved sitting on lanai and looking out before and during sunsets. Amazing and usually quiet.

Wonderful condo with ocean views

Location, location, location! This condo is all about the location---right on the ocean. You can actually hear the ocean waves when you're in the condo. The air conditioning was great to have in all rooms as it was rather hot and humid during the day. Will echo some of the other reviews about the glass sliding doors that lead to the lanai---they lock for some reason when you close them from the outside. They are also quite sticky and need some lubricant so they run smoother on the tracks. This was the case for the screen doors as well. They were quite difficult to open and only my partner was able to open them. They need be replaced as it is probably the sea water that has caused corrosion on the metal tracks. Also, the unit was either missing/low on some basic cooking ingredients: no salt (we bought some and left it in the unit for future guests), no cooking spray (only cooking oil, of which there was a small amount left in the bottle), and no coffee for the coffee machine. For those staying longer than 5 days, please note that they do not provide additional toilet paper or soap/shampoo than what is initially provided and they expect you to purchase your own if you run out. Kind of bizarre and a little ridiculous in my opinion. As another reviewer also pointed out, the only parking spaces available are the visitor spaces as the owner apparently parks in the designated spot for this unit. That may require a little walk sometimes but that didn't bother us.

Beautiful sunsets & condo !

Self check in was very great- nice touch they left the lights on inside for us as we arrived late. Beautiful condo stocked with everything we needed including plenty of beach towels & chairs. The view was awesome- every night we watched the sunset-amazing! Grounds were very well kept and surrounding area was quiet. Pool was great and nice size-enjoyed it every day!

Stay in Paradise!

We had a wonderful baby moon in this oceanfront property and would love to stay here again. We had everything we needed and more. It is very close to some nice beaches, magic sands beach being our favorite. The property was equipped with necessary beach gear and had a fully equipped kitchen. They also had some basic kitchen condiments and made it easy for us to shop and cook our own meals. Extremely satisfied with the stay and highly recommend to everyone, including elders and kids.

Don't think twice, just book this property! They had everything we needed during our stay including beach chairs, umbrellas, lots of fresh towels and linens, utensils, AC, and above all a beautiful view. We are already looking forward to our stay here in the future.

Perfect location

The property is beautiful, location is perfect and very quiet. Condo unit needs some attention. Back slider door latches don't work properly. When it's switched to unlock and you close them it catches and they lock. Got locked out! Owner keeps their car in the designated spot for unit and there is only 2 visitor spots available by unit. So it's inconvenient at times when the parking is full you need to park further away from condo.

Labor Day weekend away

The condo was very clean and spacious. It was very beautiful. Lots of amenities. Washer and dryer. Spa bath tub in the main bathroom. The view was amazing and we could watch the canoe race past. Coffee maker did not work and there could have been more toilet paper and paper towels but we just bought our own. Everything else Howe er was excellent and I would recommend staying there. 10 out of 10. Mahalo!

Beat the heat with a shady lanai and air conditioning in #4-102

Reviewer Comments: I spent many hours of research trying to find the perfect place for my family to stay for our first trip to Hawaii, so I'll share for you how it turned out:First, the Surf and Racquet Club: We were very happy with this property. It's a large well landscaped property and we found it to be very quiet. If you need to stretch your legs, you can walk along the rocky shore and there's even access to a small beach to the North. We appreciated being less than 5 minutes from a shopping center and from the marina (snorkel and manta tours).We found the communication with Knutson to be excellent. We texted them a couple of times with questions and someone got back to us within minutes. Also, we were able to extend our stay with a quick phone call and 5 minutes later had an email receipt.This unit (4-102) specifically: Air conditioning! There are 3 mini split heat pump heads in this unit, and they are awesome for cooling down and reducing humidity inside! The beds were quite comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Don't expect everything to be in perfect condition... the salt air is brutal and this property is not brand new, so there is bit of rust here and there and the back door doesn't slide very well. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were very new though, so no worries there.We were happy on the ground floor. Out on the lanai we were visited every morning by lots of little birds having breakfast in the grass and a couple of shy geckoes. Due to the angle and shape of this particular building, the lanai always had shade and was quite comfortable even in the afternoon. Beautiful sunset views of course but we also enjoyed the night view of the city.One small disadvantage of this unit was that the owners had a car stored in the designated parking space. We had to use the visitor spaces, which sometimes meant parking a couple of buildings away.Overall we were very happy with this choice and we would recommend it to friends!

Excellent Views and Nice Facility

The place was very nice, it had good A/C and views. All amenities were excellent. The only drawback was there is no assigned parking. The property owner has a car parked in the space and being disabled it would have been nice to have parking. The visitor parking was taken most of the time so parking was somewhat inconvenient. Otherwise we have an excellent time and would go again. Enjoy the views at sunset!

We loved our stay, very nice opening doors while we sleep to hear the ocean and enjoy coffee on in the morning! Clean and stocked. Only complaint was the washing machine left our clothes super smelly.. just needs a good cleaning I think.

Great Place To Escape

If you need a place to getaway, relax, enjoy stunning views of the ocean at your footsteps, this is the place. The condo was as advertised, spacious for two couples, very nicely decorated and a great lanai to begin and end your day on. I would highly recommend this unit and look forward to staying there again if we ever get back.
