Shangri-La, this earthly paradise is a renter's dream! The 2-story beach house sits directly waterfront, with views that are as magical as the name. Boasting 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, Shangri-La is your own private Utopia on the Gulf.

Shangri-La is a 6 Bedroom, 5 Bathroom, house is located in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Four (4) vehicles max allowed at property; no parking passes needed.

Experience true luxury in this waterfront home! Splashed in vibrant colors, the first-floor spacious living room has ample seating. There is a large mounted flatscreen tv for your viewing pleasure and views of the Gulf through the ceiling-to-floor windows.

The airy, open floor plan seamlessly ushers the dining area into the kitchen. There is a beautifully crafted wood dining table that provides seating for eight and an island bar with five stools to gather around. The fully stocked kitchen has two, yes two, stainless steel refrigerators for snacks galore! There are other built-in amenities, plentiful amounts of utensils and appliances lining the counters and cabinets.

Downstairs, there are two tropically decorated bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed, dresser and flatscreen tv. The connected bathroom has a tub and shower combo with a one-sink vanity. The second flamingo-inspired bedroom also has a queen-sized bed with dresser and flatscreen tv. The attached bathroom has another tub and shower combo with a vanity. In the hallway, there is a full-sized washer and dryer.

Saunter upstairs to the extremely roomy primary bedroom, with king-sized bed, reading chair, flatscreen tv and access to a private balcony with seating and epic scenery views. The master bathroom has a double sink vanity with sizable counter space. There is a walk-in shower and jetted garden tub.

Down the hall is an adorable bunk room with a twin-sized bunk bed. There is a dresser, flatscreen tv and closet.

The next bedroom contains a bunk bed with twin mattresses and a full-sized bed. There is an armoire, flatscreen tv, and rod iron desk. There is an ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combo and vanity.

The last vast bedroom upstairs has a queen-sized bed with two nightstands, a large dresser, flatscreen tv, sitting chair and connected bathroom. The bathroom has a tub and shower combo and vanity.

There is another full-sized washer and dryer upstairs. Talk about convenience under one glorious roof!

Drifting back downstairs, the outdoor patio is truly a stunner. There is an outdoor couch and outdoor seats, all surrounding a firepit. There is also an outdoor dining table that comfortably accommodates six guests. Off the deck is your own private beach access out back. A simple set of stairs will take you to those sugary sands that everyone brags about!

There is also a hammock and picnic table on the ground level to enjoy the salty sunrises and sunsets.

BEACHBALL PROPERTIES VACATION RENTAL POLICIES:

RENTAL AGREEMENT: Tenant Vacation Rental Agreement must be electronically signed to secure your reservation. Please read carefully. This is a legally binding document.

NO SMOKING: All properties are non-smoking.

AGE RESTRICTION: Must be at least 25 years older to book a BEACHBALL PROPERTIES vacation rental. A person 25 years or older must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the booking. There will be no refunds issued for anyone booking under false pretenses.

CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 4PM. Early check-in is not possible, sorry but no exceptions.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 10AM. Check out after 10AM will be charged an additional day.

MONTHLY/SNOWBIRD RENTALS: Available from November through February. Call to ask about monthly rates.

PARKING PASSES: 4 The cost of parking passes is set by each Homeowner's Association and is subject to change at any time without notice. U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, etc. are not allowed on property.

CANCELLATION POLICY RELAXED: Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in shall receive a 100% refund of the amount they have paid. For cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in, 50% of the total reservation costs shall be refunded. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the beginning date of the reservation, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Refunds shall not be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or inclement weather conditions including hurricanes and named storms. We do offer optional travel insurance which we highly encourage all guests to purchase.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap per bathroom. Starter supplies are not intended to last for the duration of your stay. Linens are furnished but please bring your own beach towels.

RATES: Rates subject to change up until time of booking. Additional fees and taxes may apply.

Needs overall maintenance badly. Better cleaning.
problems with the property: 1.light bulbs out in bathroom upstairs 2. Mildew on shower curtain 3. Ants in kitchen sink 4. Shower curtain reversed in upstairs bathroom, but we turned it around. The rod is badly bent. 5. Most of the knobs on kitchen cabinets are broken 6. Living room cushions are full of dog hair 7. The master shower door doesn’t close completely. 8. Rear outside steps to beach have nails sticking up & all boards are bad some are completely loose and lift up when walking on them (very dangerous) 9. Upstairs Bathroom shower is clogged fills with standing water when trying to shower. Maintenance repaired. 10. Floors haven’t been cleaned at all. 11. Hair, food particles and trash on floors including dental floss pick on floor in bedroom. 12. Bugs on pillow in bedroom upstairs makes us question if sheets were cleaned. 13. 2 toilets did not flush at all—called maintenance and they did repair them 14. A smoke alarm was beeping shortly after. Maintenance replaced batteries 15. Toilet roll holder in master falls off the wall when paper is changed. 16. This house needs lots of maintenance, the stairs to the beach are a major danger. 17. One of the downstairs sink faucet handles is leaking water around the handle. 18.blinds in the master don’t work 19. 19. The one light bulb in the master is impossible to read by 20. Lots of gnats in bathrooms downstairs 21. Small bunk room should be advertised as only for smaller children

Family Gathering
Everyone in our group (age range of 5 to 75) had a great time at Shangri La. The beach was clean. The weather was beautiful. The stay was relaxing. The kitchen was easy to use and well stocked with utensils to use and fun serving pieces. We would do this again!

Great location, good bones, just needs some major TLC
12 of us stayed for a week, 6 adults and 6 teen girls. The house is in a perfect location. It was just steps away from the beach and short drives or walks to restaurants depending on how far you want to venture out. The beach was busy enough to entertain our teens, but not so busy that it interrupted the peace the adults were hoping for. The house in general was perfect for us. Kitchen was where we gathered most often and it was open to the rest of the space allowing us all to be together enjoying cooking meals and playing games.There was plenty of seating between the barstools and nice big table. The two refrigerators were very much appreciated and the ice maker kept up with our needs most of our stay! Both fridges were missing door shelves that made organizing it a little more difficult but not a big deal. The size of the rooms and bathrooms were good enough for us. The house has so much potential it just honestly needs some major maintenance and better cleaning. The kitchen floor had popcorn and dead bugs upon checking in, carpets were really gross. Outside deck boards were an accident waiting to happen with nail heads sticking up and boards warped and splintering. The deck railing was also a hazard as it was not secure in one area. Lower patio space could be so cute but was just a cluttered mess. I don’t mind staying in a place that needs upgrades as long as it feels clean and organized. The house did not feel clean or organized in the least.

Beautiful
This property was perfect for us. Great space and location. Had an issue with some bedding and they immediately brought more and took care of us. Would definitely stay here again and suggest it to friends.

Okay stay.
It was very spacious and we loved that it was right on the beach. We didn’t feel it was as clean as it could have been and we did see a couple of cockroaches while we were there. A couple things could be replaced as a few appliances were broken/not working properly. For how much you pay - everything should work and be 100% clean.
