Totally Remodeled 1930's House w/Firepit & Deck close to Outdoor Adventures.
2 bedroom, 1 bath home totally remodeled in 2021-22, sleeps 4 with queen in 1st bedroom and 2 twin beds in 2nd bedroom. Central Heat & Air. Open kitchen and dining area that connects with TV room with a couple bar stools for plenty of room for taking it easy after great day of adventuring. TV room has a sofa and loveseat to recharge while planning your next hike and watching some TV. 50" TV in TV room, 32" TV's in bedrooms. Brand new bathroom has double sinks and tub/shower combo. Washer and Dryer. Deck w/picnic table & gas grill. Just out from deck is stone firepit for relaxing in the evening or anytime (Firewood provided).
The property is 150 feet long x 150 feet wide. No fence on property. There is additional parking space available for a Truck with Boat Trailer, Camper or RV.
Myrtle's Place is a short drive to all of the Best Outdoor Adventures that WV has to offer. It is right in the middle of the Gauley River National Recreation area and the New River National Park and Preserve Recreation area, just off historic Route 60 known as "The Midland Trail."

Overall great place to stay! Super close to New River Gorge. The place was clean, cozy and had many nice amenities. There’s a fire pit, a grill and all the things you need to stay in and it’s close to many places if you want to go out. Highly recommend!

Myrtle's Place is wonderful! Perfect for 2, but has an extra bedroom for 2 more, or if you just like some extra space. Nicely stocked kitchen for cooking, if you need to. Very comfortable, felt like home! Perfect location for exploring NRGNP and surrounding area! The hosts have pretty much thought of everything you might need in a home away from home. Hoping to be back our next trip thru the area!

The home was very comfy and inviting. Close to all the scenic and interesting attractions. Would love to stay there again. The traffic noise was high but acceptable

We loved our stay at this amazing home . The place is new, very clean , smells good and beautiful. The house is simple , they have everything we have and not cluttered . Check-in process is very easy , host is responsive to messages in a timely manner . It’s close to where we are going , the New River Gorge Bridge . Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with travelers like us.

Myrtle’s Place was the perfect place for our vacation! It was very clean, neat and comfortable. There were many thoughtful touches, including sound machines in the bedrooms and a cooler in case we needed an extra. It was so nice having a grill and picnic table for outdoor dinners. The location was convenient for getting to all sorts of adventures. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful home, everything you’ll need for your stay. Fire pit was great to have to relax. Definitely would stay again

The house and location was outstanding.Very clean, certainly updated,on a beautiful piece of property The road noise is noticeable but not terrible, close to the parks as well as other things that make it convenient. I would stay at Myrtle’s Place again.

Amazing stay! Everything was absolutely perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Very close to Hawk’s Nest State Park, New River Gorge, and Babcock State Park. We will definitely be back soon!

This Vrbo has an excellent location for all of the things we wanted to experience whilst in West Virginia. We did the Bridge Walk, The Lost World, The Coal Mine Exhibition, Hawk's Nest and much sight seeing on our motorcycle. There was room for us to park our motorcycle trailer and truck. The location is "in the country" but convenient to all the attractions. We loved that the Piggly Wiggly was right up the road. We enjoyed grilling out and seeing all of the fireflies at night.PS. The neighbors were SO friendly!!We loved Myrtle's Place.

We were very happy with Myrtle’s Place. It was convenient to all the things were looking to do. We had a wedding in Anstead and then we wanted to hangout in Fayetteville and Lansing. The house was fantastic! It was great for the space and amenities. Next time we come we hope to use the fire pit! Thanks for making our stay so great!!!

This was our second stay at Myrtle’s place and we loved it. Highly recommend. Very convenient to have a Piggly Wiggly grocery store just a minute away from the house.

Such a cute house on the inside! It was a good landing spot for the national park and other activities. It was close to a well stocked local grocery store. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean.

The house was easy to find and host was accommodating. Very clean and spacious. Although road traffic can be heard, it did slow down at night. Sound machines in bedrooms were nice to have on.

We grew up in Ansted, WV. Attended Ansted Elementary, Ansted Middle and graduated from Ansted High School. Lane lives in New Bern, NC where he retired from the USMC and Larry is retired from Wal-Mart and lives in Victor, WV.

This house was built for our Great Grand Mother Myrtle Ruffner Massey in 1932 and has been in the family ever since. In 2021 we decided to remodel the house and provide a place for people to call home while visiting the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve or just passing thru on the Midland Trail.
