Our Sea Lodge is located directly on the beach along the North Side of Grand Cayman in beautiful Cayman Kai, a secluded, tranquil, friendly, and safe area.
It is beachfront property with a beautiful sea view that goes from turquoise to deep sapphire. A coral reef 200 yards out protects our beach and provides great snorkeling, whether you are a beginner or an avid snorkeler. Swimming is great in the sparkling, crystal-clear water. Our pristine beach has beautiful sand and enticing palms. Take a walk, relax in the wonderful sun, or build great sand castles. It is never crowded, letting you relax in privacy. You'll get that peaceful and secluded island feeling.

Attractively furnished, two bedroom unit with king beds in each bedroom. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and faces the sea. Our Sea Lodge sleeps 4, but 2 air mattresses with pumps are provided if needed for children or teens. They are also great for sleeping out under the stars on the screened seaside porch.
There is a fully-equipped, modern kitchen and an outdoor Weber grill, Netflix, DVD player with movies (no cable TV), WIFI internet connection, and pay as you go cell phone for use anywhere.

Bedrooms have Air Conditioning, but it's not often needed with the nice tropical breezes that bring cool air off of the ocean. Wonderful louvered doors in each bedroom and in the living room open to the seaside porch. Listen to the lapping waves and enjoy the ocean air as you relax with your favorite book.

The seaside porch is great for eating out under the stars or watching the moon rise over the water. Stargaze and look for satellites high in the sky, or find constellations, as the skies are so clear. In the morning, just sit back with your coffee, relax, and look out at the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea.

This is our third visit to SeaRendipity. Yes, we love the location of this property and its proximity to so many things that we love. We had turtle tracks on the beach from a mom laying eggs. The reef is so close and the breeze makes the heat not an issue. We watched sunrise from our bedroom. We feel at home here and will return

Great place to stay. Cozy and the way the windows are set up the ocean breeze and sounds come right through the hose. Huge screened in porch on the ocean side and road side kept the bugs away.

Great little getaway! The host was very responsive to all of our questions. The screened in porch was excellent for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails! We even scheduled massages out there.

We enjoyed the snorkeling in the area behind the cottage better than the rest of the island spots. Very peaceful location with great views of the water, reef, wind, sand, palms, coconuts, etc.We cooked every day and the kitchen and cottage were well stocked for our needs during a 2 week stay.

Great rental for our family with two kids. The grounds were nice with plenty of coconut palms and tropical plants to feel like a real getaway. The rental unit was well furnished with comfortable beds, ACs in the bedrooms, and newer couches. Seeing the ocean through every window was quite special, as were the morning sunrises from the screened in porch. When the louvered doors are open, the Caribbean breeze flows through nicely. The beach is a bit rustic with seaweed, a bit of washed up trash, and seagrass entry, but we picked up the little bits of trash on day one, and really came to love it. There was hardly anyone else there our entire weeklong stay. Beautiful views, palapas for shade, and in the reef beyond the seagrass, swam every imaginable color of fish. Overall, highly recommended. The ONLY issue was the motion-activated security camera mounted on the front porch. Not a huge deal, just a bit off-putting, particularly since I don't believe it was disclosed.

Perfect relaxing beach vacation

This place is amazing! The views are spectacular, it is quiet and well maintained, landscaping very nicely kept. The best part of all was the amazing ocean breeze that came through the entire condo, it was lovely!

August 2022 stay

Stayed here with my wife and three teenagers - we all loved it. Right on the beach, quiet, private - really nice feel to the place. We stayed at a more up-scale condo with a pool, etc. for our second week, and we all liked this place better.

The home is clean and cozy with a rustic island feel, but it is older and quite dated, and the listing does not fully represent the property, we felt it was actually deceptive. Our biggest concern was the AC. The house lists AC but in the description it does says only in bedrooms- ours never cooled below 80F. The manual instructs to use the AC only at night because electricity is expensive. Along with other "house rules" to conserve, this left us feeling like we were expected to accommodate the property's limitations rather than simply enjoy our vacation.The listing mentions louvered (slatted) doors, but the photos don't clearly show them or state that ALL doors and windows are slatted and do not keep the hot humid air out -many were warped and didn't fully close. One bedroom also had clear plexiglass louvers that let in significant early light without blackout curtains.The refrigerator was very small and didn't adequately cool our food. It was struggling to keep up and generating a lot of heat to do so. The oceanfront lanai has beautiful views but the overhead screen provides little shade. The featured beach photos—including the main booking image—are not of the property's actual beachfront. The beach at the home was rocky and hard to enter.Because my father has a heart condition, the heat made the home unsafe, and we had to leave. The owners asked us not to leave a review, but we felt future guests deserved this info.

Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. You arrived at our home just after 11 am and left by 7pm that same day. We refunded you fully (and paid our workers), despite the written agreement from VRBO that you would not leave a review if refunded. Per that agreement, we did not leave you a review. Your biggest concern was the AC. We had both units checked by a professional after departure, and they are working properly. The entire Caribbean Island is hot and humid during the summer. As mentioned in the house rules, this AC is meant for use in the closed bedrooms at night, not in the middle of sweltering summer days. Your photo with 84 degrees shows the door to the uncooled living room open. We have updated our house rules for clarity and a polite tone. Yes, the louvres are in need of repair. We are replacing them so the cold AC stays in the room better. The fridge is smaller, but the home is intended only for 4 adults and 2 kids, and most people don’t cook every meal on vacation. It’s only 2 years old and works well. Our back porch with sweeping sea and beach views has no shade. That’s why we’ve contributed to the construction of 3 large palapas on the beach. You are right that at time of publication, the featured beach photo was NOT of our beach. VRBO uses AI to order photos now. AI thought that beach, which is a 10-minute walk away, was prettier (and so do we), so AI chose that as the featured photo. Sometimes VRBO uses AI to generate captions. As you will now see, we’ve ingrained our captions in the actual images via Photoshop to prevent this. I urge everyone to complain to VRBO about their misrepresentation antics. Sometimes our beach is rocky and sometimes it is sandy. Nature gives and takes sand without warning. There is a protected sandy beach at Rum Point, 10 minutes by foot and 2 minutes by car.

Great place

We've stayed in places all over the island and we have to say that this is our favorite. The condo was as described and had everything we needed. The beach was wonderful and restful. The snorkeling was great, we saw sting rays, colorful fish among the coral and even a nurse shark! When we return to the island we will stay here again.

A grand stay in Grand Cayman

The setting and condo are grand. Each couple had their own bathroom and the main room and kitchen were perfect and we ate on the screen porch. Snorkeling from in front of the condo is amazing!!! We will be back!!

Purchased this Sea Lodge from a lovely couple who owned the unit since 1985. We enjoy beach life and snorkeling.

We had spent many years traveling to Mexico, but after having a child, we wanted a safer place. We fell in love with the Cayman people, the beautiful water, snorkeling, and diving. The pristine beach and quiet location make for a great getaway that is just an hour from Miami and under three hours from Houston. The English-speaking island is very clean with a low crime rate, no poverty, and currency fixed to the US Dollar. The weather is great all year.

Our unit is the only 2 bedroom Sea Lodge that is directly beachfront. We're on the corner of the small complex, so the beach feels very private!

Often times, you will find a place on a great beach. Commonly you will find a great snorkeling spot, but the shoreline is rocky. Here you have the privilege of enjoying both.
