This 2 bedroom, 2 bath house is centrally located on S Monkhouse Drive. You will fall in love with the views! Imagine sitting on the well-furnished deck for coffee, meals, or cocktails with the sound of the waves and the fresh salty breezes. When you are ready to head to the beach, it’s just a short walk or ride!

The open living area has seating for all and a flat-screen television with satellite TV. Preparing and serving meals is easy in this well stocked kitchen with separate dining table. Coffee lovers will appreciate having both a Keurig and drip coffee makers; and feel free to mix up some vacation margaritas in the blender! For your convenience, you'll find a washer and dryer on premises, and high speed internet.

With over 1100 square feet, La Casa Bonita easily accommodates 8. The first bedroom offers one queen bed, and the second has a twin over full bunk bed. The living room futon also provides extra room to sleep.

Under the house is the perfect shady spot to grill (bring your own charcoal) family meals that can be served while sitting around the picnic table. Downstairs is also fenced for the security of kids or pets. There is an outdoor shower and fish cleaning station. This rental has plenty of fenced parking and a large grassy yard. (But, please don't drive on the grass.)

Two dogs are allowed with pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.
The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Our experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented La Casa Bonita several times, mostly because of its proximity to the beach and the comfort it provides. We have always found the property to be very well maintained, and, other than the washer not working and having to call maintenance to get the television working properly, we encountered no problems. I especially enjoyed being able to sit on the porch to read and relax while still enjoying a good view of the gulf. I would certainly recommend it to anyone. We have, in previous visits, enjoyed meals at Stingray, and we have patronized the Big Store. I hope to return.

Great stay! Very clean! Nice view of the beach from front porch for not being beachfront! Short walk to the beach as well. Only recommendation is “linen charge” to be explained upfront in listing, so there are no suprises onced booked.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Casa La Bonita and would choose this property again. Our only issue was that the washing machine wouldn't work. We reported the problem to Swedes and they responded and sent repair tech to look at the machine. They were unable to fix the problem so if choosing this property you should verify that the washing machine has been fixed or replaced. All other appliances and A/C worked well.

Very nice

We had a wonderful time the camp was beautiful and clean and walking distance to the beach, Great! Wish the yard would have been mowed, but everything else was perfect! Thanks again for making our vacation worthwhile!

Great property, not so great deal

This property is adorable and so close to the beach. Perfect space for our family of 4, and even had additional space if you had a few more in your crew. Walking distance to the beach, though we drove each time as it was easier to tote all the gear! But makes for great views! The part that was frustrating is that the listing says "no linens" - but they don't really explain that that means NOTHING. No sheets, towels, etc. (Also no toilet paper or paper towels - every other place we have stayed at least has a starter roll of each.) I got a call after booking asking if I wanted to pay $100 for linens. I agreed, as I did not want to make beds when we arrived with small children. However, it wasn't disclosed until they sent that conformation that beds wouldn't be made, and we missed that note. I wish it would have been mentioned when it was offered, as we found out at 9pm the first day thar they just plunk a couple of unmarked bags of saran wrapped linens on the porch. I would have just brought our own better quality linens. The AC broke the first full day, and maintenance was quick and luckily got it running within a few hours, which was great! Both were super friendly and helpful. Overall, great property, but likely would not stay again due to the mgt company.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was dirty. I had to show Swedes the pictures of the filth. The microwave was patched with tape. The backsplash was splattered with food and coffee stains. The ceiling fans were loaded with dark dust. More than usual for a home. A couple of kitchen drawers had food in them. Every handle on the kitchen cabinets was sticky and filthy. We spent over an hour cleaning the cabin before we could unpack. The master shower nozzle was broken water was spewing out from two locations. We had to stay here because we could not afford to move to another cabin. Too much more to list.

The location was great. The exterior and patio was a bonus. The cleanliness was horrible. The entire home was filthy. Looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. Kitchen counters were extremely sticky, the stove, the fridge, the bathrooms, the dishes available, the dust that had accumulated through out and from ceiling to floor was unacceptable. The floors had not been swept or mopped for some time. They had no cleaning supplies at all (one bottle that had about 2 sprays in it) and the hand towels were not washed. Disappointed, will not stay again.

Nice Anniversary Get Away

We enjoyed our stay at La Casa Bonita. The living space is nice and comfortable. The bedrooms are okay, but rather small. The master bed is squeaky and not very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are nice & roomy. The downstairs outdoor sink wasn't working, but it was not a real issue for us. The location is close to the beach, but the street is quite busy, especially at night with a lot of cars, since it's a public access. But overall our stay was really nice for a short weekend stay. Thank you!

Check in was simple, everything was as described. Wrap @ porch made for watching the waves crash. Clean, cozy, fenced yard, I highly recommend @ definitely stay here again.
