Perched on a hillside with incredible mountain and city skyline vistas, this 4BR/2BA home offers a one-of-a-kind stay. Originally built in 1915, this charming Craftsman-style home has been beautifully updated with modern amenities, air-conditioning, and contemporary designer finishes. Soaring redwood trees shade the multi-level backyard, which features an outdoor kitchen and dining area. The elevated front deck is perfect for happy hour.

Centrally located between Seattles Magnolia and Queen Anne neighborhoods, this home is close to shopping, dining, transportation, and family-friendly fun.

LIVING AREA

The stylish main living area features two sofas (one of which converts to a sleeper) and a gas fireplace.

A lower-level family room has a sofa, two accent chairs, a 40 smart TV with a soundbar, as well as an assortment of games and entertainment options.

KITCHEN & DINING

The beautifully updated kitchen is outfitted with a Viking gas range, farmhouse sink, butcher block countertops, and a convenient pantry area.

A lovely eight-seat table in the dining room is illuminated by a modern chandelier.

BED & BATH

This three-level home sleeps 10 guests between four bedrooms and a queen-size sleeper sofa.

The upstairs master bedroom features a king bed, 40 smart TV, and an attached nursery with a crib and changing table. The second bedroom has a queen bed. An adjacent bathroom is configured with a clawfoot tub/shower combination.

Two additional lower-level guest bedrooms are outfitted with full-size beds (one of which is a Murphy bed). The second bathroom includes a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES

Spend quality time together on the awesome, elevated front deck. Kick back on lounge furniture and take in the panoramic views of Mount Rainier and the Seattle skyline.

Sip morning coffee at the bistro table for two on the covered front porch.

Retreat to the backyard oasis and unwind under the shade of enormous redwood trees. An expansive stone patio includes an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and quartz countertop, as well as a 10-seat patio table. Twinkling string lights set the scene for memorable alfresco meals.

The multi-level garden features scenic views, a quaint pond, and a secluded seating area among lush greenery.

Complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, air-conditioning, and Sonos speakers are provided.

Driveway parking is provided for two vehicles; additional street parking may be available.

This three-story home is accessed via several flights of exterior stairs.

THE LOCATION

The property is across the street from Bayview Park and is central to a myriad of restaurants and attractions. Make a tee time at Bayview Golf Center (1 mile) or explore beaches and forested trails at Discovery Park (2 miles).

Downtown Seattle and Pike Place Market are less than 18 minutes away, as is the University of Washington.

Disappointing House
First the positives: Dog-friendly with fenced yard, off-street parking, walkable neighborhood with kid park one block away, appliances were new, has matching dishes, great views across the way, appears to be kid-friendly (toys, gates, etc.). We could imagine the yard and street-side elevated patio are great places to hang out in the summer. Now the disappointing features. This house felt like staying in a college student's rental: the decor and furniture was a mish-mash of old stuff and Ross one-off items, cooking supplies were limited and randomly stashed everywhere in kitchen, no headboards, cheesy bed frames. We had to go back to look at posted pics - yup, must have had some filters applied. No way to deadbolt from the inside at night (how many others have codes?), creepy smoke detectors lit up when we got up at night, multiple exterior locks we did not know codes to, exterior steps to front porch still need handrails (noted in 2022 review), wood steps to top floor were slippery so dog would not go up/down (kids could slip). House was not very clean: Splatters on walls, extra bed pillows were on the floor in random closets, the wood(!) kitchen counter and sink caulking had mildew, towels and bed linens did not smell clean. House and its contents could use some TLC.

Classic Quirky Seattle
Our new favorite short-term rental in Magnolia when we come to visit family at the top of the hill. Loads of PNW authentic charm and warmth, which does means some scratched walls and uneven floors, but feels truly like a home vs others that are pretty sterile. Looking forward to a future visit where we can enjoy the upper forest and front decks!

Pleasant stay
This is a beautiful and comfortable home with spacious decks and a quiet backyard and plenty with nice deck furniture Great location with good walks around the neighborhood.

Great place to stay
Our group consisted of 6 adults and 3 kids, Two of the kids were ages 2 and 13 months. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was well equipped with everything we needed including baby gates and great kids toys. It was very clean and well taken care of. The outdoor deck was awesome, just wish the weather had been a little warmer so we could have enjoyed it more. The beds were comfortable and having a bathroom on each bedroom level was great. There are LOTS OF STEPS, but we knew that before we arrived and it all worked out great. We were fairly close to the sights we wanted to see with the kids, the zoo and the aquarium. Being able to park in the driveway was great. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home!
We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful neighborhood in Seattle. My family flew in a few days early before our cruise to Alaska. There were 9 of us. Plenty of room. Easy to get Uber to the cruise terminal and downtown to the market. We had a little snag when we got there because the lock didn't work, but I received assistance immediately. Beautiful home. If I'm back in the area and it's available, I will book it again!!
