The Perfect Getaway

My husband and I needed to decompress for a couple of nights this past weekend and wanted to find a peaceful spot in Truro. We found Sandbars via Google and took a shot after seeing the photos and reading reviews. We could not have chosen a better place! Unit 7 was perfect for us. Ground floor entrance on the corner (so neighbors only on one side). Our deck with table and chairs was just off the beach, steps from the sparkling ocean. I napped inside with a view of the water through the deck slider. The sunsets were amazing right from the deck. Being post-summer it was very quiet, relaxing. The unit was spotless and updated. Bedding super comfortable. The bathroom shower had nice hot water, great shower spray. PLENTY of fluffy towels. The e-code to get in is a little quirky. It works but you just have to press the numbers at a medium speed and wait for the buzzing noise before turning the handle. Easily got the hang of it. I cannot say enough great things about Unit 7/Sandbars. We hope to be back soon. HIGHLY recommend!

A Perfect Spot

This very pleasant property is the perfect spot for a quiet, relaxing get-away. We loved that there were many clean, comfortable beach chairs and tables provided for our use. Being just a short drive into Provincetown made it easy to find many great restaurants as well as a large supermarket. I can't wait to return to Sandbars Inn!

Almost Paradise

This location is really wonderfully located right on a private beach. We loved stepping out onto sand and loved the outdoor shower (Cold water only). We had perfect weather. We loved having our dog with us and some nice people staying in nearby rooms. We had some problems with the lock during the stay and needed to text and change the pass code. We loved the close proximity to Provincetown. I would have loved a nearby walking path. I felt a little confined. I would have been in paradise if there wasnt and enormous amount of seaweed on the beach. There was someone cleaning the day we arrived and we never saw that person after that one day. All he did was make a gigantic pile of seaweed to one side of the beach. One of our neighbors called texted to find out if we could get more propane and we didn't hear back - we finally found more ourselves hidden on one side of the property. We paid a lot of money to stay here so expectations are pretty high for customer service and the beach being very clean. It fell a bit short of paradise.

Beautiful and relaxing

This was our second time staying at the sand bars inn. Our room was clean, the kitchen had all the cooking pots, cutlery, dishes, and bowls we needed. The beach out back was very relaxing with beautiful bay views. Our favorite part of cape cod is the national seashore beaches and this is close to all of them.

Very nice place to stat

Best Cape stay by far!!!

We have been coming to the Cape and the P’town area for years now and we finally found our forever place to stay. Todd was helpful and friendly and welcoming. The room was so clean and location is perfect!!! We loved the beach and all the chairs and firepit! Can’t wait to return. It’s a perfect place!!!

Clean, Beachside living

The room was clean, the beach was right out the back door. It had a fridge for holding leftovers/groceries, plenty of places to hang out on the sand and the staff were on-hand in case you needed anything extra. Wifi was a little wonky, but would stay here again!

dont forget to take all your belongings when you check out. theyll charge you $25.00 to check th...

grounds / location. dident like paying $25.00 for room service to GO BACK & CHECK THE ROOM when we checked out at 9:30 am. the cleaning service should have found the items when they cleaned before the next check in at 4:00 also the STUPID 10 number door entry code was a pain especially at night. 4:00 is a little late to be able to check in especially when you have to leave by 10:00 am kind of kills your first day. i dont think we will be staying there again. also there are NO HANDICAPPED parking spaces close to building for parking. dont bring a lot to carry to your room and especially dont forget to take all your items upon checkout. we wont be returning to this place. the dune crest is a good place to return to with our puppy. i am NOT VERY HAPPY with the NEW MANAGEMENT

Sandbars used to be our favorite place

We have been coming to Sandbars Inn for several years. Being able to step onto sand from our room and have our dog with us has always made it extra special. Friendly helpful staff made it even more special. Now, the lack of full time friendly staff on site makes the experience less personal and responsive to any issues or questions that may arise. The room was not as clean as it should be, the floors look like they have not been thoroughly cleaned in months. The outlet in bathroom was inoperable, so had to my wife had to dry her hair in the living area. Also, the kitchenettes used to have a good supply of pots and pans so you can really cook meals. We had two cheap aluminum saucepans that were unusable. We have loved our visits, but for the price VACASA needs to up their game.

Disappointing

This is the 11th year we have stayed at Sandbars and the first year since it has been managed by Vacasa. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. When we arrived, we noticed that there were no blankets on the bed - just a sheet topped with a stained and dirty coverlet. We immediately called and notified Vacasa. We spoke to 2 different representatives and texted multiple times with another and it still took over 48 hours to get thin blankets. I also asked about getting additional towels - since we only had 4 bath towels for a 5 day stay for 3 people and no facilities to wash anything - and we never received them. This was also a completely non-smoking facility - yet the person staying right next door to us smoked outside our open door and the smell came into our room. I understand that a location at the beach comes with challenges due to moisture but there was mold in the bathroom and all of the dresser drawers smelled strongly like mildew. The carpet is also the same carpet that has been there since we started staying there over a decade ago. It seems like the current owners simply are not updating the facility and are relying on a service - that is not onsite or local - to manage their property. As a result, the quality has really gone downhill. We loved Sandbars and have stayed there year after year since the location is terrific and we always used to enjoy our stay. However, I fear this may have been our last visit due to the increase in prices/fees, the lack of a timely response regarding our valid concerns, and the decline in overall quality.

Unexpected pleasure

A list minute decision to search for a place for four adults and our lil pup Luke near Provincetown and we found this gem of a place. It was perfect , clean, great corner unit , on the ocean and just perfect. Def must stay again.

Perfect spot

This is a great place to stay, it’s right on your own beach and also close to P-Town. Very clean and comfortable. Bringing the dogs is a huge bonus! Recommend it highly.

Perfect location

Perfect spot, ,right on the beach, great comfortable room and very clean. Close to P-Town and all the fun. Cant wait to go back! And a bonus being able to bring the dogs.
