Rustic Red Cliff Log Lodge in the Animas Valley. 5 min N of Durango, 15 min to Purgatory, .5 miles to PJs Gourmet Market and .5 miles to the Durango Hot Springs. 4BR, 4Bth, game room, basketball court, lots of parking for RVs, trailers and vehicles. The house includes a full kitchen, smart TVs, WiFi and washer and dryer. The garage you see in the picture is the finished game room with ping pong, bumper pool and a deck with chairs. Great location, good house. Game room is awesome, especially for the young adults and teens. Outdoor stairs were a little precarious for an 87 year old. Otherwise, excellent experience.

Our family stayed here for 5 days while visiting family. This house was all we could have asked for and more! It was very clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the views couldn't be beat. Our kids had a great time in the game room too! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

We picked this house because it was the perfect distance between downtown Durango and Purgatory Ski resort. It had everything we needed for a basecamp. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was perfect for our stay. Adequate space, clean, comfortable and felt like home. The home had everything we needed. A big plus was how convenient it was for a visit to the hot springs. The view of the mountains, the sound of the train and the cool breeze coming through the open windows made for perfect mornings & evenings hanging out in the house. No fault to the owner because I overlooked this small detail when searching for a property, the steps leading up to the home were a bit of a challenge for someone with horrible knees. But its doable, the handrail definitely helps. The host was always very prompt in replying to any of my questions/requests. Thank you for being a part of our fabulous weekend!

Graduation Stay

Loved the cabin and the area. The location was nice as we traveled north to sightsee but were only 5 minutes to Durango. I will definitely stay here again!

Good place to stay at, very fun and had a nice time with me and my Family I would recomend for anyone trying to stay here in Durango. My kids and nephews had a blast in the jacuzzi.

Great location, close to town. Host was very accommodating. Laundry & kitchen were great for our family. Wouldn’t recommend for older guests, the stairs are very steep and uneven. It made it hard for our grandparents to enter & exit the home.

Great communication and lovely home with great views of the train as it passed by in the mornings and afternoons. Great location close to town and amenities. Very close proximity to the hot springs. Plenty of space to accommodate our group of 8: 5 adults and 3 children. We came up to ride the Polar Express and made beautiful memories as a family. Only wish the house had been prepared for us to feel a warm welcome. The heat was off and it was a very cold 55 degrees inside upon arrival.

This house is not Joanna Gaines trendy, if that’s what you’re looking for… it’s full of real-life used items, cozy like your grandma’s house. There was a nice separation of private spaces, with several public places-the game room was an absolute got with the grandkids. I will caution that there are MANY steps to navigate and most are without hand support. This was a bit challenging for our family, as we had 3 generations using the house. I am absolutely certain that our stay will be fondly remembered by all for years!!

We are a family of 4 living just across the Valley. We have been in Durango since 98' and enjoy skiing, rafting, kayaking, biking and all the mountains have to offer. We are a fireman and nurse serving our local community. We purchased this house in 2008 and lived in it for 10 years. The house was originally a ski lodge located in Vallecito by the lake. The home was won in a card game and moved to the location it sits now in 1988. It was narrowly missed by Missionary Ridge Fire in 2002. You can see the burn scar as you drive through the valley.

This home is close to town but has the amazing views of the Animas Valley. It's only 15 minutes to Purgatory and close to PJs gourmet market and the Durango Hot Springs and Spa. Enjoy the separate game room, basketball court and yard games in the well watered lawn.
