Overall, our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. We loved the location and the beautiful interior of the house. Things we didn’t expect were how dusty most areas inside were, the influx of millipedes in the basement, and not being able to locate remotes for the tvs. These were things we immediately brought to the rental company’s attention. It’s a gorgeous property, but it greatly needs some more attention and deep cleaning.

We’re sorry the house wasn’t as clean as it should have been, and that the millipedes and missing remotes took away from your stay. That’s not the experience we want any guest to have, and as we always like to do we did offer to have someone come out for a deeper clean during your stay. Our homes are cleaned after each departure, so there may have been a lag time between your arrival and time for a little Colorado dust to settle! Your feedback helps us take better care of the property, and we’d love the chance to welcome your family back to show you the difference.

We had a wonderful time! The home was comfortable and relaxing, with gorgeous views, awesome kitchen, plenty of space for the whole family. Hosts was very accommodating and responsive.

Very clean and comfortable home right on the river. Sit on the deck early mornings and listen to the river and watch the wildlife. House is well equipped which made meal prep a breeze. Had a really great time.

This house was a wonderful home base for exploring the Durango area. The location worked out beautifully — we were close enough to visit Mesa Verde National Park, spend an afternoon shopping the trading posts in Farmington, and still make it into historic Durango without feeling like we were always in the car. Being right on the river was one of our favorite parts of the stay; with the windows and doors open, you could just hear the water flowing, and it made the whole place feel peaceful and calming. We were treated to deer in the front yard several times, which never got old. It was quiet, restful, and exactly the kind of setting we were hoping for.The one thing I'd mention is that the house could have used a more thorough cleaning before our arrival — there were cobwebs on a few of the wall décor pieces, some dust film on the chest in the bathroom, and the ping pong table in the garage felt a bit grungy. Nothing that ruined our stay, but worth a heads-up for the next guests and maybe an easy fix for the owners between bookings.Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily consider staying here again for the location and the peaceful setting alone.

This place was a dream! We cannot wait to return! Perfect for families, this place has everything. We caught rainbow trout in the river just down the path from the house, enjoyed the hot tub at night, and sat out on the patio in the morning to enjoy our coffee and listen to the river.

Excellent place

You couldn't ask for a better Colorado experience!! Riverfront, Hot Tub, quiet, peaceful, wildlife, great beds, great kitchen, dining room, family rooms. We have stayed in many rental homes and this was the best!

We loved our stay here. We will definitely come back. It was a perfect place for two families with children. Enough room for all the spread out and for the kids to play. We enjoyed baking cookies and cooking meals in the very well equipped kitchen. The kids had a blast sledding in the back yard. House was clean comfortable and cozy. We were a little disappointed that the play structure wasn’t there anymore, but the kids still had fun!

Peaceful Family Getaway

This place is as advertised, we enjoyed a peaceful snowy weekend. We loved everything about this place, the only improvements we could ask for would be a lighted property to come to as it was dark when we got there due to bad weather.
