You will LOVE this Smith Mountain Lake Home! Amazing waterfront views from every room! Large dock! 2 kayaks! SoloStove FirePit!
- Home build finished in 2022!
-Every single window in the house has a view of the water!
- 200 feet of waterfront!
- Amazing waterfront views from each room
- High speed Wi-Fi, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus (USE YOUR OWN LOG-IN INFO).
- Located along a calm, private cove that is perfect for swimming, fishing, floating, and boating.
The space

Guest access
you will have the whole house and yard during your stay.

Other things to note:
- Large SoloStove firepit.
- Weber Genesis Propane Grill.
- Screened-in porch (upper level) with trex decking & open concrete patio (lower level)
- Located within a few miles of state park & multiple marinas where you can rent a boat to tie up to our large floating dock.
- Private cove and close to large open water area near the dam
- 2 gas fireplaces.
- 2 Kayaks for use.
-Pool Table (billiards).

What is included upon arrival: one TP roll per bathroom, one trash can liner per can, one paper towel roll at the kitchen sink, pillows, and blankets

Items to bring: LINENS (towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillowcases), trash bags, paper goods (toilet tissue, paper towels, napkins), detergent (dish & laundry). Please send us a message if you would like contact info for a lady that provides a linen service for a fee. Her price is fair and is equivalent to what most property owners bury into their fee if linens are provided.

Items NOT to bring: Pets, worries & stress.

Items you’ll WISH you had brought: water toys, sun block, fishing gear, cooler, lawn chairs, & bluetooth wireless speaker (for dock)

You will have access to our 20' floater during your stay to tie up your boat. Make sure to use bumpers to protect your boat and the dock.
The dock lift will NOT be available for you during your stay. The owner's boat will be there sometimes. The owner may come get his/her boat during your stay but will give you notice and be in and out quickly with as little disturbance as possible.

There is one camera (Ring brand) at the front entrance. There are absolutely no cameras inside of the house.

There is an Amazon Alexa device inside for listening to music but feel free to unplug it if you like, but please plug it back in before you leave.

PARKING: You may park on provided parking at The StarBird only. You are not permitted to park on any adjacent/nearby land, or on the main road.

QUIET HOURS are 11pm to 7am. Be courteous since most of the neighbors are full times residents. NO PARTIES. NO EVENTS. NO PETS OR ANIMALS

Once inside, do a walk-through to inspect all parts of the property for any damage and if you find any- let the owners know ASAP

Great Family Get away

As a family, this was perfect- great location, water access wonderful and house very accommodating to a family. Beautiful view of Smith Mtn Lake from every room-so everyone was happy! We will be back!

Great Spot

Beautiful views, clean and minimalist house but well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. Seth was very accommodating. Note that you do need to bring or order sheets separately. Already talking about renting again.

Serene Starbird

Had a wonderful time with childhood friends and their children. The house is well done both design and decorating. Views are awesome and fun for tween/teen kids on kayaks/paddle boards. Great location to state park for hikes. Perfect place for a long weekend get away.

Awesome Stay at Starbird!

Gorgeous home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved having the lower level to themselves. Awesome lake views from every room. Seamless process and a wonderful stay. Seth was very responsive. We will be back for sure!

Perfect for our family

The Starbird was the perfect size and layout for our family get together of six adults and two young children. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and necessities that were not on my packing list. The fishermen in the family enjoyed catching bass and sunfish off the dock. We enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit. Beautiful sunsets closed out the day and the sky was brilliant at night with a stars and a few planets. Thank you for the perfect house at a wonderful location.

Fun Family Getaway

We had our children and grandchildren at the lake for a week. This home provided us enough room in the house as well as great fun on the water.

Super Spot

We had a wonderful stay. Children and grandchildren had a great time swimming from the dock and using the provided kayaks an paddle boards. The cove was quiet and provided a good area to enjoy the water out of the way of boat traffic. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped and bedding was comfortable for all of us. It was great to have shaded area on the dock and screened in porch at the house.

Amazing Experience!

Starbird at SML is a gem!!! Clean, beautiful, convenient and had a spectacular view. This property accommodated two families comfortably. Love the dual living areas and spacious bedrooms. The dock is perfect and lots of fun. Kayaks and paddle boards were a definite plus! I highly recommend this fabulous home.

Look no further!

This house was absolutely amazing! The owner was super responsive to everything, including one small issue with the dock lights which was quickly resolved. Super clean house, has everything you would need for the kitchen, & awesome dock. The house is also within walking distance of Parkway Marina which is an added bonus. We had 4 adults & 6 kids on our trip and still had extra space. Solo stove for campfires/smores, nice Weber grill, kayaks, & paddle boards. 10/10 would recommend!

Best vacation

This was an amazing property and plenty of room, dishes and things to do for 4 adults and 7 kids 19-13 years old. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked every day while looking out at the lake through expansive windows. Every bedroom had a view of the lake! The dock was perfect to tie the boat to and the kids really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The dock is in a cove and the water was calm and the kids swam off the dock all week. Voted best vacation by several in this extended family group.
