Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean in this beautifully restored, stand-alone beach cottage, built in 1911. It has all the charm of its age coupled with modern conveniences such as portable AC units, washer & dryer, TV and wifi. A charming front yard filled with flowers and a white picket fence greet you, and a cozy front porch is a delightful place to enjoy the ocean breeze. The private backyard features a gas BBQ, garden patio and a secluded hot tub. Situated just minutes from La Jolla Village, La Jolla Cove and Bird Rock, there are many wonderful dining options and family activities at your doorstep. Sea World and the San Diego Zoo are a 20-minute drive. Best of all, the world famous Windansea Beach is just steps away!

Please note: The property manager lives full-time in the neighborhood.

Our family had the best time at this cottage! It was our third trip here because we love it so mic. Clean, simple, comfortable, and close to the beach. Nice hot tub, great beach gear available… Just perfect.

The home was lovely. My family and I really enjoyed the charm, comfort and location. It was extremely clean and well stocked! When we stayed it was unseasonably warm and the air conditioning was a hook up unit, which was a little intimidating to figure out- although we never asked for assistance, which I’m sure the owner would have been happy to have provided! Luckily, there were plenty offans. The garden was so charming and the hosts were extremely courteous and helpful! We would definitely return!!

We have stayed in this area a couple of times and loved this property. The proximity to the beach is amazing.The yard and hot tub were amazing. The house supplied us enough room to move around, and with a two-year-old with us, it allowed us quiet rooms for naps and sleep.

Despite how old the house is, it’s very clean and the garden is incredible!! We loved relaxing in the yard among an abundance of flowers and beautiful landscaping. The location can’t be beat within a short walk of a great beach and the yard adds to the whole experience. Parking on the road gets tricky depending on the time of day and proximity to neighbors can be interesting but it was worth it! We loved our time in this darling updated beach house!

Stayed here for a week with my adult daughters. This house was exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect and it was such a lovely place to spend our time relaxing! Loved staying here and would definitely consider it in the future!

We visited with 6 adults, so it was a crowded stay - but it you're wondering, it can be done! The house and the host were fantastic. We loved the design inside and out. It has a beautiful garden that I didn't even fully expect from the photos. We had an issue with AC the first night and the host fixed it right away the next day. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies for cooking for a big group and has lots of storage space for food. Both bathrooms were clean and nice. The hot tub control screen didn't work but you can hit the jets button and they work great. It's easy to walk to many shops and restaurants. There's even a friendly cat who visits outside sometimes. Warning that the beach closest to the house is risky for swimming. I saw at least 6 people rescued by lifeguards while I was there. It's a beautiful spot for lounging on the sand or watching the sunset at the top of the stairs, but for swimming I recommend La Jolla Cove or Shores.

The house is super cute and the location can't be beat. All of the beds are comfortable and the hot tub is such a bonus. Can't wait to go back and stay here again!

Great beach getaway

We stayed there with our 3 kids, ages 1, 2, and 4 and had a great time. The place was very kid friendly and even had a blackout shade in the kids room. Would love to come back here again!

We had an amazing stay in this perfect beach cottage! Lots of charm in the house itself and it’s very tastefully decorated, too. Beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. The location was fantastic- a quick walk to the beach in one direction (we loved watching the surfers) and a quick walk for coffee in the other direction. Owners were very easy to work with. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Quiet Beach Getaway

A lovely quiet house with a short walk to the beach. The house is clean and has all you need for a family or friend getaway. Beds were comfortable and the process to check in was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Excellent stay

Fantastic neighborhood and such a neat cottage house, so close to the beach, walking distance to an excellent coffee shop and market place store, 7-11 etc but otherwise very quiet and tranquil. We had a great stay and everything was as advertised. The house is charming, not new but that is the charm. We loved it!

Our host was amazing and very responsive to messages. Beautifully restored cottage with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Centrally located for everything we wanted to do (the zoo, Torrey Pines, USS Midway, Coronado Island). Very quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the beach and a short walk or drive to SO many restaurants. We felt very safe there and had windows and doors open to enjoy the gorgeous weather. The house was spotless! We would stay here again without hesitation!
