Owasco Lake Finger Lakes Getaway

This cozy, year-round cottage has beautiful views of Owasco Lake and is the perfect home base while you explore the Finger Lakes region. On your days off from exploring, take out the two kayaks or rent a pontoon at the marina, spend the day on the water and come home to air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has wifi, a smartv, games and books to pass the time on a rainy day. Perfect place for a small family to spend a vacation!

The cottage is cozy with all of the amenities of home. Kitchen is fully equipped with gas range and dishwasher. Washer/Dryer are conveniently located right off the kitchen. There is an outdoor patio with gas grill, picnic table and rocking chairs to enjoy the lake view. Launch the kayaks from the shore and enjoy the lake up close and personal!

This cottage is part of a shared community with a common lawn and lake front. The cottage is just steps away from Drifters on Owasco and the Southshore Marina. It is a 20 min drive to the city of Auburn, 30 min drive to the Village of Skaneateles, 30 min drive to SUNY Cortland, 40 min drive to Cornell University and 45 min drive to Ithaca College. Enjoy hiking, wineries in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

We just loved the little yellow house on the lake. The house had everything you could ask for. It was perfect for our vacation. The neighbors were warm and welcoming as well. We would choose this again and again.

Place was perfect for a family of four, 2 kids 9 and 11 for a weekend! Lake is right there with a dock to use, smores by the fire pit, marina next door, super clean. Full kitchen. New appliances. Washer and dryer. Kayaks. A/C works good, good water pressure in shower(shower is small but gets you clean!). Thanks Amber!

Very beautiful location. The feeling was very homey. I love the living room view of the lake. A lot of board games and my personal favorite the gas operated oven lol. It’s great for making delicious meals

Nice small lake house, comfortable for my family of 5. Clean. Had everything we needed. (Although no Keurig! Only a standard coffee maker, bring your own coffee grounds!) My kids enjoyed the dock for fishing, swimming, and the 2 kayaks! They caught a handful of fish. Friendly, helpful neighbors. Was not sure which dock was ours, but the neighbors were able to point it out to us. Nice lake view. There are many small houses very close by, all of which share a grass yard. Like a “commons”. I don’t feel like the pictures accurately depicted this. Not much privacy.

Laid back lake vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Lucky Stars cottage on Lake Owasco! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Beautiful lake views / sunrises, and Amber always responded quickly to any questions we had. The location was good for exploring the Finger Lakes and we even went to the NY State Fair. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Amber and Peter for sharing your cozy cottage with us!

Amber was an excellent host, the property was clean and comfortable, we initially had an issue with the heating system due to the excessively cold weather, but this was swiftly resolved and we were soon warm and cosy!The cottage has a lovely view over Owasco lake, nice furnishings, comfortable beds and all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. Amber had even kindly left us a delicious bottle of local wine.We would definitely recommend!

Relaxing lake rest

Just had a lovely few days at Lucky Stars. Accommodation was perfect for us. Comfortable and Great Lake views. We enjoyed using the canoes and fishing from the dock. Lovely days out locally. A perfect rest after New York and Niagara Falls.

Affordable stay on the lake! The cottage was spacious for our family of 4 and had everything we needed, including laundry and kayaks and a dock! We rented a boat at the next door marina, and did lots of paddling on the lake. Hosts gave many details and instructions and were responsive to questions.

This quaint cottage is super small and does not fit tall or larger people. The downstairs bedroom fan is so low I hit my hands while I was changing and I'm 5"5 the bed is also super loud and turning over would wake up my husband and child on the couch in the living room. The hallway leading upstairs is super low. The bathroom is also super super small. When you sit on the toilet your knees hit the sliding door that doesn't lock properly. It's perfect for 2 people who are normal size to smaller size. We also tried to sit outside one night and felt we were in someone's yard. Lots of cottages all on top of each other since its close to the marina (which we didn't use). The upside it was near town.

As our listing describes, this is a small, traditional Finger Lakes cottage, including a compact bathroom, and we try to provide photos and details so guests know what to expect before booking. The living room couch is not intended or advertised as a sleeping space, so we were surprised to see noise from the downstairs bed described in relation to someone sleeping there. Like many cottages along Owasco Lake, homes in this area are fairly close together, particularly near the marina. Guests who are looking for a larger property, more privacy, oversized bathrooms or a more luxury-style accommodation may be happier with one of the larger properties available in the area, although those typically come at a considerably different price point. We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient location. Most of our guests have found the cottage to be a charming and affordable way to enjoy Owasco Lake and the Finger Lakes, and we’re sorry it wasn’t the best match for your stay.

Fun weekend at the lake

Wonderful trip, perfect lakeside cottage. The bathroom is tiny but came well supplied. The entire house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Good location

Nice location, rooms are a little small, not much storage. Well stocked, plenty of towels and nice to have filtered water dispenser. Nice to have Roku, games and puzzles.

Great Long Weekend Getaway!

Amber was a great host and the property was just what we were looking for. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. The location was just a short drive to many things we wanted to see. Everything we needed and more was available. We would stay again in a minute. Thank you, Rob and Cindy

Beautiful, peaceful getaway!!

Thank you for a wonderful weekend! Between being right on the lake, with beautiful sunrises and stargazing, along with the cozy, clean cottage and proximity to wineries and hikes, we had a lovely time. The weather was a bit cold and rainy at times, but we got windows of sun and beautiful fall scenery. Thanks for making it such a pleasant place to stay :)

This cottage is cozy and adorable! It's a great home away from home for a short or long stay. It's fully stocked with just about anything you could need to make a great meal while away from home! If you find something is missing, let me know so I can fix that! We wanted to have a property on one of the finger lakes for our family to use but also to be able to offer to others so they too can enjoy this great area!

The views from this cottage are so relaxing! It's situated at the South end of Owasco Lake and from the living room you can see birds gracefully flying against the hillsides with beautiful blue water underneath them. This property is within walking distance to a great restaurant, Drifters (lots of Gluten free options), and is a perfect place from which to launch to spend time on the water or off, exploring the finger lakes region.
