Wonderful Vacation Home Rental on Owasco Lake

Book your dates now at this wonderful lake home! Recently renovated and updated, this spacious 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home features an open living/dining area with sun room. Modern kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. 1/2 bath and laundry area are conveniently located on the first floor as well. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms and a full bath including a master bedroom with king sized bed and picture windows overlooking the lake. Second bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom features a set of bunk beds. This home comfortably accomodates up to 6 guests. A large convered patio on the lakeside of the house has just been added! Perfect for enjoying meals outside regardless of the weather! Nicely landscaped level lakeside yard is great for lawn games, sunbathing, or sitting by the lake. There is also a campfire pit located at the edge of the lawn for roasting marshmallows with family and friends. Dock is available for swimming, fishing or tying your boat. There is a level stone beach front with gradual grade into the water which makes this property perfect for all ages. The shore is stone rather than sand and water shoes are recommended. Attached garage and several parking spaces are available. Restaurants, attractions, boat rentals and more and all are nearby!

Just perfect!

The property representative was great. The home was lovely, well maintained, and equipped with the items you would need both inside and out. We appreciated the easy to follow binder of notes available on the dining table upon arrival. And the lakeside view was spectacular. Many thanks Tracy!

Amazing house at the lake

It was the perfect place to relax for a few days. Two canoes to go on the lake, the kids could go into the lake by themselves as it is very flat and protected. The house is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and the view from the master bedroom over the lake is just amazing.

Would definitely go back!!

Clean house. Amazing location. The lake itself is soo clear. We could see the bottom at least 4 feet out. I'm a water girl and usually a salt water fan.... however this lake won me over. Great dock for fishing or tying your floats up and just hanging. Owner was VERY responsive when we had a very minor issue. He Was ready to come and take care of it but it was nothing that hindered our vacation so we told him not necessary. We will definitely go back.

Great Family Vacation

This property is perfect for families with teenagers. The yard was a wonderful place to play yard games like corn hole and volleyball. The dock setup was perfect for our boat and there were very few steps down to the dock. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet with beautiful surroundings. We have stayed at many Finger Lakes cottages and this one is our favorite!!!

Perfect lake vacation spot

The house and grounds are beautiful. It’s clean, comfortable and relaxing. There is a flat lawn from the house to the break wall. Then it’s just 5 steps down to the huge shallow beach which is perfect for young kids. The boat dock is designed to tie up your boat easily so it doesn’t bang into the dock. It is so quiet and peaceful. The boat traffic is light and the neighborhood has permanent residents around so everything is well kept. It was a great vacation and we thank our hosts for sharing their beautiful home with us.

This property is exactly as the listing stated. Overall property is well cared for and stocked with water activities items such as kayaks. Checkin was easy, plenty of parking, the property is flat right to lakefront with a large dock. Highly recommend property and will probably book for next year.

Graduation Celebration

Very nice property on a great fishing like. We were close to Syracuse for a graduation. Nice , bright cheery home. Home was very clean. Fantastic property for water access. Excellent dock for boats. Good fishing off the dock. Close to stores and restaurants. Despite terrible weather, everyone enjoyed themselves.

Peaceful lake house

We all had a nice, relaxing time at this lovely lake house. The property is large and flat allowing for some serene November lake views with some ducks floating by. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who might be looking to stay here in the future.

Weather was bad

Property nice and clean. Outdoors area well groomed. Beach area made going in and out for kayaks. Weather initially in 90's. The 1st floor does not have its own air conditioning system. In order to keep the 1st floor cool, the room sized air conditioners of the 3 bedrooms upstairs had to be used and put on high. So, we couldn't indicate what temperature we wanted to cool it to. After the heat, it turned cool and rainy. There was a thermostat for heat in the downstairs area.

Great stay on the Lake!

House as described. Comfortable furniture and bedding. Great view. Spotless. Enjoyed the fire pit. Tracy was very communicative, and a pleasure to deal with.

Beautiful site on the lake

Beautiful flat yard nicely landscaped. House very clean and beds comfortable. The only downside is there are no restaurants or wineries accessible from the water which we didn’t expect prior to our stay. Very relaxing space!

Lovely Lakehouse Vacation

We had a lovely week on Owasco Lake. It was our 1st vacation in the Fingerlakes. We chose this smaller lake hoping it would be much quieter in terms of boat traffic and cottages being on top of each other. It worked! We had privacy and safe swimming & kayaking every day! House was clean & spacious, with a large yard right on the lake. We cooked, grilled and had a campfire. Be aware water has a strong sulfur smell. Bring your own for drinking & cooking. We all had a great time!

Lake house

Overall, we were very happy with this lake house. The house was clean, stocked with essentials and accommodated all our needs. The large flat property was great for activities and easy access to the lake. The shallow clean water and a large dock was perfect. As others have stated the house water was from a well so there was a slight sulfur odor, we did bring bottled water to drink. All in all, we had a great stay and are considering booking again for next year.

Great time in Finger Lakes

We had a great stay at this property. It was exactly as shown and the property was immaculate. Being on the lake was very nice. It was a great introduction to the Finger Lakes as it was our first time staying in the area. It is on one of the smaller lakes so not as close the winery trails but there were still some great wineries close by that were fun to discover. We visited some historical sites - Tubman house - (plus more wineries) and found a place to ride some ebikes on a nice trail around one of the lakes - and may have stopped at winery on the bikes. We would stay again if in the area.

Great for family!

We stayed at this lake house when visiting family close by. It was the perfect location. We had two little kids (2 and under), and this house was great! The downstairs allows enough room for people to gather all while being able to see your kids at all times. It had everything we needed to cook meals and everything was clean and neat. We stayed here during the spring when the weather was cold and rainy, but are looking forward to coming back in warmer weather where we could enjoy the dock and the fun water toys that the house provided. We’d happily book this home again!

Perfect Retreat

This lovely lake house has beautiful views and everything one needs for a lakefront vacation. I was there for a few days in early spring and it was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were easy to work with & communicated quickly. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful Lake House

This home is well maintained, nicely decorated and clean. The landscaping adds to the enjoyment of the property. We really enjoyed viewing the lovely sunrises and sunsets over Owasco Lake from the back of the home. It was the perfect location to visit family and shop in the area. One issue renters may want to be aware of is that the home's water has a strong Sulfur odor, so we bought bottled water for cooking and drinking. The odor is emitted from any faucet in the home, including bath water. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this home.

Great Family Vacation!

We really enjoyed this beautiful home right on Owasco Lake. The open floor plan opened right out to a covered patio, and then you were just steps away from a well maintained dock as well as a small rock beach area - perfect for the kids to safely splash and play in the water. The usage of the 2 kayaks were also a hit! The only negative was that when you turned on the shower, the water had a very unpleasant smell to it, which made us hesitant to even bathe the kids in it. Other than that, we had a great time, and we loved everything else about the house and location!
