Great location in Nags Head

Very clean and cozy; nice, quiet week spent by the ocean. If you are looking for a place to refuel, walk on the beach, watch the sunrise, this is the place!

Great Spot

Great location. Beautiful seafront property. A huge bonus that it was pet friendly. This was an absolutely wonderful place to spend our vacation and celebrate our mother's 70th birthday. Thank you all very much!

Right on the beach nice area, very dog friendly. Pool was convenient and we had it to ourselves several mornings. Sand is a presence as was mentioned in part of the booking. I personally loved the screen porch, my 14 year old niece liked the crow’s nest porch up top. Easy drive to food and shopping. Wish I was still there

It sounds like you made the most of everything, from peaceful mornings by the pool to relaxing on the screen porch (and we love that your niece claimed the crow’s nest as her spot!). This was a real clean home with a good ocean view. However, parking was nonexistent. I tried to park next to the property and got stuck in the sand. I had to park in another lot and by the pool house, which caused us a further walk (with luggage) to and from the house. The other down fall was the numerous amout of dead fish. around the property. I was told this was a cold stunt event (ocean temperature drop below 32 degrees) so i cant hold this against the property, however, we believe there should have been an effort to remove the fish I think the best thing is not to come in March.

Great location

We loved the location of this property. It could have used better cleaning and beds that are more comfortable. We did not complain because the location trumped the issues for us. Also I was not told the dryer did not work so the first time maintenance came he was not let in. Communication is key and we spend 3-4 days hanging clothes for 6 people.

Amazing stay

This was perfect for our family of 6. The location is insanely good. We had so much beach time being right there on it, which is usually hard to do with 4 kids. With this location, the beach was never crowded. Just a half mile walk south and it’s completely empty with no houses or people. Not many people ever in the pool so it was plenty big. The house itself is an on the beach cottage and what I’d expect when staying literally on the beach. That’s not a negative…can’t go over the top with the interior like big houses a few rows back. I’d book again…probably bring my own pillow as the ones here are pretty thin. That’s my only advice if looking at this place. Wonderful family vacation.

perfect location - property in need of updating

1st going back to the beginning of the booking, Vrbo charged one fee - the property manager another - so I ended up paying more than what was advertised. You are not allowed to check in until after 5pm, when we got there, the remoteless keylock did not work, we had to call the property manager, they were closed, they close at 5, after some time, someone finally called us back - and we got in. Not sure why you would have a check in time when there is no one to handle problems. Think you would either make the check in time earlier, or close later. The entire walk and steps were covered in sand, and I had a hard time getting into the cottage. The property manager said that they would text us a new key code, which they never did, and told us to call back in the morning about the sand (which was Easter Sunday) the cottage was clean with the exception of the counter tops which were dirty and sticky - they also had a huge crack which was repaired with epoxy - the sofa seat cushion was missing a zipper, many of the windows were missing screens, the fans did not work - etc.... all in all, what you can not beat at this cottage is the location - It is right on the beach, and the views are amazing. Although the sand drifts made it very difficult to park or move our car.
