Great little cottage on the beach

Cute, clean and right on the beach. Easy access to the beach and very convenient to great restaurants and activities. We would stay there again.

Best stay on the beach

I couldn’t have found a better house to stay in or a better owner to rent from. This was an amazing stay from beginning to end. I couldn’t have asked for anything more and their hospitality was outstanding!!

Quiet pet friendly oceanfront getaway

By far one of the nicest cleanest oceanfront stays I've ever had with the closest private beach access I've ever seen - not to mention the picnic table and the two wooden beach chairs right above the beach access to relax and enjoy. Such a nice place to call home for a few days with all the amenities that you need, amazing location with restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, and most of all pet friendly. Absolutely amazing and will definitely be coming back.

We LOVE 2 Fish Cay and Tina Tuna!

This little cottage is a slice of heaven. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back! If you want quaint simplicity right on the beach, with all the charm of 1950's Nags Head, this has it all. No condos for us!

Nice cozy place on the beach

My husband and I stayed with our dogs. The cottage was cozy and clean. It was exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay and will return again next fall. Thank you for the thoughtful goodie bag.

Fun in the dune

Cottage was small but charming. No sheets or towels were provided which wasn't clearly known. Rentable on the island. Otherwise good stay.

Many Memories Made

This was our first time vacationing in the OBX and therefore our first time staying at Tina Tuna. I must say that Tina Tuna was perfect for our young family ( 2 adults, 2 toddlers). The cottage was clean, we'll set up, and had everything in the kitchen that we needed to prepare meals. What I also liked was that it was free of knick knacks so there was very little kid proofing needed. The location was also perfect since It was so nice to step out our front door and be on the beach! We could even bring our beloved Ladybug with us which helped the kids not be so homesick. There were even little dog bones waiting for her when we got there! Overall, a great trip and lots of fun memories. Would definitely stay there again.

Quaint, a bit outdated, but great location and responsive owner

This house is literally on The side of the dunes, with amazingly close beach access. My 18 yr old son and his friend enjoyed mini golf, the YMCA and "Booty Treats" (amazing ice cream) within walking distance. The master bedroom queen mattress could use replacing and for a beach cottage, this one was a bit dark - nothing some fresh paint and brighter light bulbs wouldn't fix. We had a little issue with the electric on the second day of the trip, but the owner answered when I called and sent a serviceman out within an hour. This is not a huge house, but it was perfect for two adults, two teens, and our small dog. Enough space for 4 to comfortably sleep, cook, eat and gather around the TV. We would go back again in a heart beat! Bonus: Friday to Friday rental means a lot less traffic coming into and leaving OBX!!

This is our third time to this property because we love it so much. The cottage is nestled just beyond the dunes and protected from high winds. The owner/host is very responsive and friendly and the cottage is clean and well-equipped. A huge plus is that our furry family member stays for free! We will be back again!

We saw the harvest moon rise. Beautiful!

Always wonderful! Cute, cozy and convenient! Beach access, area, property are the best! Like going back in time with the cottage - simple and all you need at the beach! We will be returning for sure... this was our 5th stay!

The only real saving grace of this Cottage is the location which is right on the beach. I mean, it was literally a minute and 50 second walk from our door to where we sat in our chairs by the ocean. With that said, the furniture and beds are extremely uncomfortable and need replacing like yesterday. We were also not impressed with the lack of cleanliness when we walked in. The filters on the AC vents need replacing desperately, and some of the pillows on the furniture are very dirty. I found it interesting that the owner asks guests that are paying him to vacuum and sweep the floors and all the while I am wondering exactly what he pays his cleaning crew for. Needless to say we will be staying elsewhere next year and I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight, knowing that my back will not be hurting in the morning.

The best!

Tina Tuna was wonderful! It brought back the nostalgia of my grandparents cottage I spent summers at in the 90s. The cottage was clean and we were provided with many of the basics we needed. The location can’t be beat! Right over the dune is the beautiful Atlantic and steps away from the Nags Head pier. We were able to walk to put putt, ice cream and a few restaurants and only a short drive to Wright Brother’s Memorial, Jockey’s Ridge, Bodie Lighthouse, and Manteo where we went to see The Lost Colony. The cottage is located beside a public beach access so the area can get a little crowded but we would just set up before 9 and get the perfect spot for the day. Tina Tuna has all you need for a week at the beach! 1000% would stay here again and recommend to a friend (I already have!)

Tiny Little Getaway on The Beach

We had a wonderful time at this charming cottage. The peaceful atmosphere provided a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and its proximity to the beach was a major highlight. It was just a short walk over a small dune, and within moments, we found ourselves on the sun-kissed sand with the ocean waves gently lapping at the shore.The cottage itself had a rustic charm reminiscent of accommodations you might find in the woods. With its wooden accents, it felt similar to the camping experiences we have had here in the northern United States. The simplicity of the furnishings made the cottage feel welcoming and homey. We truly appreciated the unique character of the place; it added to our overall experience, making our stay feel authentic and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our getaway. The property owner is very responsive and kind.

Our favorite place and we always stay at Tina Tuna! Love the location, amenities of cottage and cleanliness also! Just so comfortable for us! The other guests and the dogs are fun to meet and talk with, just like a small family town on one single little driveway at the beach! The owner is very friendly and just great! Thank you as always!

Slice of Old Tyme Beach Dayz…

Tina Tuna is not for everyone, but we loved it. The rustic charm of the cabin itself to the close proximity to the beach. It is well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend for those who do not need “McMansion” on the beach!
