Best stay on the beach

I couldn’t have found a better house to stay in or a better owner to rent from. This was an amazing stay from beginning to end. I couldn’t have asked for anything more and their hospitality was outstanding!!

Tina Tuna was a lovely step back in time, well maintained, perfect size for us, pet friendly, near lots of great places and a beautiful beach just over the dune. Hope we can come back in warmer weather!

Fun in the dune

Cottage was small but charming. No sheets or towels were provided which wasn't clearly known. Rentable on the island. Otherwise good stay.

Quiet pet friendly oceanfront getaway

By far one of the nicest cleanest oceanfront stays I've ever had with the closest private beach access I've ever seen - not to mention the picnic table and the two wooden beach chairs right above the beach access to relax and enjoy. Such a nice place to call home for a few days with all the amenities that you need, amazing location with restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, and most of all pet friendly. Absolutely amazing and will definitely be coming back.

We LOVE 2 Fish Cay and Tina Tuna!

This little cottage is a slice of heaven. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back! If you want quaint simplicity right on the beach, with all the charm of 1950's Nags Head, this has it all. No condos for us!

Nice cozy place on the beach

The Best

We’ve been coming to the same cottage for nearly 20 years. It’s perfect for us and our dog. Literally feet from the beach, but protected by a dune, and you have easy access to everything. The cottage is small and straightforward, but that’s what we want. It has a charm about it that cannot be duplicated. Always clean, always maintained very well, and we have never ever had an issue. The owner, Dave, is a joy and we see him every year during our stay. Most of his business is repeat, and that should be no surprise. He is a wonderful guy and his properties reflect the care he gives. We can’t recommend this place enough. It’s part of our lives.

Quaint small cottage

This is a small cottage - 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a small family room, and a small kitchen/dining area. Note that there is no dishwasher, washer or dryer. It is directly next to the beach, which is very nice. The furniture could certainly be improved, especially the fairly dated couch/loveseat in the family room. The cottages are pet friendly - which is great if you have a pet. But I think the quality of the interior of the cottages suffers as a result.

Many Memories Made

This was our first time vacationing in the OBX and therefore our first time staying at Tina Tuna. I must say that Tina Tuna was perfect for our young family ( 2 adults, 2 toddlers). The cottage was clean, we'll set up, and had everything in the kitchen that we needed to prepare meals. What I also liked was that it was free of knick knacks so there was very little kid proofing needed. The location was also perfect since It was so nice to step out our front door and be on the beach! We could even bring our beloved Ladybug with us which helped the kids not be so homesick. There were even little dog bones waiting for her when we got there! Overall, a great trip and lots of fun memories. Would definitely stay there again.
