Charming and bright 1940 bungalow in sought-after Midtown Ventura. An ideal location within 10 minutes of Ventura beaches, local surf spots, Ventura Harbor, and Downtown Ventura. This sweet home boasts many vintage features such as original floors and Wedgewood stove while also providing modern updates including an on-demand hot water heater, quartz countertops, water softener, and more. The backyard patio is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an outdoor meal.

To Note: Like most older homes in Midtown Ventura, this home does not have central air conditioning. Although it is not needed the majority of the year, there are a few weeks in the summer and early fall when the home can get warm. During the warmer months, there is a window AC unit in the master bedroom. Opening windows to bring in the ocean breeze while using the provided fans also helps cool the home.

As a retired facility management repair construct and demolition worker I truly adore and respect this 1940 built home.from the fireplace shelf to the use of tile and wood is amazing. The landscape shows hard work done to a great effect for shade and appearance. Close to beach and other surrounding areas makes this place a must to go to for families and couples or singles like me.

Clean, friendly host, very comfortable. Darling house and property very centrally located to everything we were doing in our vacation. Hope to come back and enjoy the beautiful backyard more.

This property worked great for my wife and I and our adult daughter to stay in Ventura to visit with our son and his wife to welcome our first granddaughter!The kitchen was well equipped so we could host dinners and the back yard with its nice yard and patio worked perfectly to entertain and relax. The work out room with Peleton bike helped to start each day with a ride or pelotti work out session. The location was also convenient to town and local pier and beaches. We look forward to staying here again soon.

Super friendly host! Location is perfect for taking a ferry to visit Channel Islands-- literally within 10 minutes. Just as easy to get to grocery stores as well. Backyard is a lovely place to just relax, big enough for a dog to sniff and roam. Even a home gym in a separate ADU setting out back. Would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. It was a very cute house, very clean, great backyard for the dogs. The only thing which would have made it perfect was we really would have loved screen doors so we could get air flow through the house. It was quite hot when we got there. We appreciated the fans which were already going.

Summer Vacation House

We highly recommend this property. It’s a very quaint older home that is clean, in a nice neighborhood that is conveniently located near many services, etc. and has a beautiful back yard.

The perfect stay!

This cute little house is perfect for small families with a dog. Beautifully maintained and private garden, all fenced in. Loved everything about this house/property, they thought of everything! Would love to come back.

Nice Stay

Lovely house and property. Backyard is great to relax and enjoy the Ventura weather. Close to grocery store and beach. Can't beat it. Host was amazing and very responsive. She helped me get some clothes I left at the house too.

Felt like home!

Visited son in Ventura for 2 weeks. Everything was just as advertised. Clean, comfortable, excellent location , great communication. Will most likely return again in a few months. Highly recommend!

Charming

Absolutely charming bungalow in Ventura. House was immaculate with so many amenities, including bikes, which were perfect for after dinner rides around the neighborhood. Can’t recommend this house enough!

Perfect, Welcoming, Awesome Location, Clean, Well Accomodated

We are prior "Venturans" who lived in the midtown area for 10 years. We were more than excited to be returning for a 8 night vacation to enjoy the area. The home was perfect and did not disappoint! The location is perfect, it was very clean. well organized and decorated. Every thing from the kitchen supplies to the extra blankets and beach towels/bikes/beach chairs made it easy to just "be" and enjoy! The outdoor space in back was perfect for dining alfresco or enjoying your morning cup of Java! Thanks so much we look forward to our next stay with you.

From Ventura (moved just about 2 years ago) great place to meet up with friends So comfortable; very nice, quiet neighborhood. close enough to walk to grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants… Close to ocean, enjoyed ocean air! Slept so well in comfortable beds!!! Negatives? NONE!

AmaZing rental!

I had booked this rental six months ago and was unsure of what to expect. The photographs don’t do it justice. It is absolutely amazing and the backyard is stunning. We came here to attend a four day conference with a few of our staff, and ended up spending more time at the rental than anywhere else, working, cooking, and enjoying the space. The owner does a great job of having every amenity you need on site, including a few coffee pods basic spices for cooking and ample toilet paper and cleaning supply. They were wonderful and also accommodated a late check out for us on our final day. I will be renting here for years to come.

My husband and I were in town for a family wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with the stay at the Yellow Door Bungalow! The unit was impeccably clean, the supplies were generous, and the amount of space we had to move around exceeded expectations. The backyard provided a sanctuary for us to gather with another couple with complete privacy, including that nice cool breeze that Ventura offers. The location was very much accessible to the freeway, to groceries, the mall, and the beaches. The host was also easily reachable, and was very generous with their responses to our requests. We would definitely stay there again!

We have stayed at several places in Ventura and none as amazing as this house. It was easily accessible, had parking, was VERY clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner thought of everything. Truly the best stay we have ever had!

The house was very quaint and well taken care of! Although it didn’t have central AC, the master bedroom had a window AC and there were several fans throughout the house. The gym that was part of the garage, although we didn’t use it, was very nice! The host was very responsive and friendly when needed! We highly recommend this place!!!

Wow,what an amazing place!! Retro style and fantastic garden in the backyard. The house was charming and great location. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this bungalow for a quiet place to stay, but close enough for the action that the town has to offer.
