A Beautiful Place with Views for Days!

Very beautiful home with amazing views. Plenty of basic amenities, however the place needed a good deep cleaning. We used the cabin for Sturgis bike week and the driveway is gravel, very steep, and not conducive to motorcycle use or the ability to park a trailer and be able to turn it around.

Awesome girls trip, Christmas in May.

It was a beautiful home with an amazing view of the Black Hills from the deck. The beds were WONDERFUL! The kitchen isn't very spacious but had most everything we needed and the grill worked great! We would've loved to have roasting sticks for the bonfire pit on the deck. It would be really nice to have a pool table, foosball table or ping pong table, etc. and even some board games for our kids and teens to do as the hot tub only kept them entertained for so long. We enjoyed our daily walk around the cabin area but it is very steep hills all around this cabin so don't be afraid to stop for a minute to catch your breath! We even saw a baby black bear come pretty close to the property when we were there.

One of the best places in The Hills

Beautiful House with amazing views

This property was great for our work group attending an event at Terry Peaks. The house was very large and had plenty of room for everyone in our group. The views were spectacular and it was right next door to the Ski resort. Also located just minutes from Deadwood which was great. I highly recommend this house!

Friend Getaway

Property was as described. Very clean and had everything we needed. The view was amazing. Close enough to town but away from it also. We had jack rabbit, turkey and deer right there in yard. Would definitely stay again.

A view for miles

Newly built with a view that went on for miles! Well appointed with all the comforts including Wi-Fi and streaming at every TV for the few moments you won’t be skiing, 4-wheeling, hiking, fishing or hanging out with 500k new biker friends in Sturgis. Just a pleasure to enjoy this property .

Beautiful place!

Everything went very smoothly from booking our stay to check in and our time there. The host was prompt getting us easy check in information. The cabin was exactly as stated. Beautiful place with a beautiful view! The only issue, which we knew from the reviews, was the deck having sap on it. Not a big enough issue to complain about in our opinion and certainly didn’t affect our stay. Would highly recommend this place. Look forward to returning in the future!

Comfortable home

I did wish it had more of the everyday essentials, like shampoo, kitchen trash bags, dish washer soap, etc. but we really enjoyed the house

Secluded Gorgeous Cabin

The property is beautiful and very new. The view from the cabin is breathtaking! We enjoyed our stay. The communication from the realtor was prompt and thorough. There are a couple of things to note. The property is three stories and the temperature on the bottom floor was extremely cold in order to make the main floor comfortable. Outside of the kitchen and a couple of laundry pods, you must bring all necessities with you. There are no bathroom amenities or hangers in the closets.

Great Place but probably not worth the asking price.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful Space with an amazing views. The garage is super helpful. Kitchen is a bit tight but has everything a family would need. The couch is comfortable, but not enough ways to recline and relax. Beds were comfortable but a lack of even one Cloths Hanger in the closet made it awkward to even hang one dress shirt. The bathrooms were fine but could have used a better cleaning. For the price I would expect to have perfectly clean bathrooms and couple of hangers to hang cloths on. I would recommend that they make the address numbers larger. We had alot of people turning around in our driveway or even knocking on our door thinking they were at the neighbors house. All in all it's a great place, but for what we paid it's only worth 3 stars on an overall.

Beautiful view, but no follow through from the company

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fish Upon a Star was in an amazing location with a great view! We loved using the hot tub, and we were really looking forward to using the upper deck for grilling, sitting by the fire table, eating outside, and generally appreciating the view. Unfortunately the heat had caused the wood in the deck to leak extremely sticky sap all over, and the fire tables knob was broken off. I messaged the staff right away and was told they would bring some mats the next day. They never came and I received no other communication from them despite reaching out a couple more times during our 4 night stay.

Thanks for your feedback Emily. We're sorry you had issues with the sap on the wooden deck. It's brand new and still settling in with the outdoor environment so a little sap may still be coming out of the deck. We stopped by the property during your visit and scraped off one section of about 3 inches that was on the deck that had some sap, and it didn't need any mats at that point since the spot was so small. We let you know that we scraped the little spot off and everything was good, to which you responded "thanks." At that point you didn't reach out about anything else. Thanks again for staying.
