Beautiful cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Wonderful place. Very convenient location at the front of the neighborhood. Easy to find. Quality built home. Great floor plan that worked well for five guys on a motorcycle trip. Kitchen has a huge island for food prep and sitting around. Large dining room table. Comfortable living room. Nice porch out front and patio out back. We didn’t use the hot tub so can’t comment on it. We did use the grill to make some great dinners.Everything was clean. We slept great on the comfortable beds and pillows. They do provide some slip on footwear so you can leave your shoes at the door (they could maybe do with a few more larger sizes). There were a couple things that could have been better. Hot water takes a long time to get to any faucet. Water pressure from the showers is minimal. And the water is really, really soft so it takes a while to get the soap off. To be sure, if we’re ever back in the area, we would want to stay here again.

Hands down the best place we've stayed! They literally thought of everything! The kitchen was fully equipped, which came in so handy! There were quite a few spices too! Comfy beds, beautiful neighborhood and the hot tub was quite nice! We'll definitely be back!

Week in the Hills

We had the best stay at The Ponderosa. Beautiful, clean house. Perfect location. We hit many area attractions, saw lots of wildlife, enjoyed Deadwood. We will definitely be back!

Great for Large Family Gatherings

Beautiful property with lots of room and space for everyone. We loved that there were 3 king beds for the adults and 3 queens for the kids all in the loft where they could hangout together. TVs in all of the rooms made it easy to relax away from the group when we needed a time out. Would comeback to this property and highly recommend to others!

Concrete floors that are ice cold and the only way to get the house warmer was to run the fireplace but this didn’t warm up any of the bedrooms.

This was a great place for our winter weekend in the Black Hills. The set up with 3 king bedrooms on the main floor was perfect for our group, plus having the spacious bonus room upstairs for all the kids was great. We made use of the heated garage as well.Everything was decorated nicely and as pictured (besides the massage chair shown in the one bedroom!). My caution to those traveling with young kids would be that the floor on the main level is concrete - if that raises concerns for littles falling. The open tread staircase looks great, but would also make me concerned traveling with tiny tots. The concrete floor is very cold if you are staying here in the winter, so be sure to bring slippers or inside shoes to keep yourself warm. We would definitely stay here again, if back in the area for skiing/winter sports!

Weekend Getaway

Thank you Budi we had a wonder weekend getaway with friends. We have stayed in many places and this is by far one of the best. Easy to get to and close to nearby activities. The amenities on for this property were top notch. From the extra cozy blankets around the fireplace to the beach towels for the hot tub. Not to mention all the high-end offerings in the kitchen. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. Our favorite was the ice maker and an extra frig in the garage!! When you have a houseful, it was super handy having all "the extras" that made this property special. Thank you!!! We will be back!

If I had one thig to complain about it was the lack of response from the rental company. We had left a handful of messages trying to get an early check in to drop off our luggage prior to an evening hunt. This process took hours to get a return call despite calling all available numbers. When we finally did get a call back the lady informed us that they could not let us in early because the snow removal had not been completed yet and it was a safety issue which we understood. However, the 3 nights we were there, it snowed each day yet not once did anyone come to clean snow.

The property was very nice. We especially liked having the garage for parking the motorcycles. The fireplace was warm and relaxing and the hot tub was an added bonus. We found everything we needed for cooking while there.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful, well stocked, and clean. The location is convenient to restaurants and the neighborhood is very quiet. The beds and pillows are comfortable. It might be a little cool during winter months but there is a fireplace and portable electric heaters. I would stay there again.

Besides having some of the finest trails and roads to ride, with some of the most terrific views in the world, the Ponderosa was the perfect house to stay in. It was centrally located for riding in the northern Black Hills, was extremely well appointed with amenities that far exceeded our expectations. We had garage space with a wash hose for our machines and ample parking for trucks and trailers. The house was delightful with plenty of room for 4 couples. Very nice kitchen with all the utensils needed and plenty of room for seating. Very comfortable beds and nice pillows! The place was very clean and seemed very new and fresh! The ice maker in the garage was terrific for beverages and for ice for coolers. Fire pit and hot tub were perfect for winding down and relaxing in the evening!Thank you for the wonderful accommodations! It made our stay in the Black Hills terrific! We would rate the Ponderosa a 10 out of 5 and would definitely stay again in the future!
