Property and home was just as described. Million dollar views of Grandfather Mountain and secluded. The deck was a great place to spend quality time and the hot tub was the perfect end to the day. Minutes from Blowing Rock but situated in the woods and very private. If you want the feel of high country living with a short drive to town, this is the place for you.

Cute, quaint cabin in a convenient location. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the view and the surroundings. I would recommend the Secret Shack for a comfortable getaway in the beautiful mountains.

Secret Shack was as advertised and had everything we needed. Beautiful views. Quiet and secluded. Grill and hot tub were clean and worked great. Short drive to Blowing Rock. Excellent communication with owner.

This is a beautiful property! Chris was extremely communicative and easy to work with. Property was exactly as described, and everything was in perfect working order. Such a wonderful stay! I highly recommend property and the hosts.

cabin was very nice and well equipped… Clean and tidy. Views are amazing and we loved the hot tub. Very secluded and quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Fall getaway

We had a great stay during peak leaf season! We enjoyed the views off the deck, the hot tub, and the fire place. Would stay again!

The house was very clean and well stocked. The views were phenomenal. The roads leading to the house were a little tricky but nothing that would prevent us from staying there again.

The cabin is perfect! Exactly as described, very clean and comfortable! Loved the fireplace and the view is just gorgeous! We would definitely stay here again!

This is an absolutely terrific property with a beautiful view of grandfather Mountain and surrounding hills. We happen to be there on a foggy day and even so the view was very pretty when the mist were rising up and we could see. It was also rainy and yet we were very comfortable. The hot tub was very handy and also very nice for that kind of weather. The climb up the hill was pretty steep so make sure you’re comfortable with that but well worth a visit. It was only a short distance up into blowing rock which we also really enjoyed. The property is beautifully maintained and had everything we needed. The host were wonderful. Communication was great. We highly recommend this property.

Quiet Retreat

Cabin had fantastic views. It was so peaceful and pleasant to sit on the deck for morning coffee and evening sundowns. The bedroom with expansive window facing the mountains was an added bonus! We really enjoyed our getaway!
