Pros: The place is clean, has an excellent location right in the heart of Kona, communication with the host was smooth, the beds are comfortable, and it includes air conditioning, beach towels and chairs, all necessary kitchen utensils, and a clean pool.Cons: The air conditioner in the master bedroom is noisy, there is noise at night on weekends, we were only given one key (which complicated things and forced us to coordinate our return times if we split up), the second bedroom has an opening in the wall and lacks privacy, and the property manager is quite strict about the rules. I entered the pool area a few minutes before 9:00 a.m., and he asked me to leave. My husband had taken the key and I had forgotten my cell phone, so I had to wait for him in the hallway for an hour, as you cannot re-enter the apartment without the key. The landscaping staff asked us to be quieter while at the pool; we were simply chatting. We found this absurd, given that the landscaping machinery was making a tremendous amount of noise.Overall, we enjoyed the place; the location is definitely convenient. However, if you arrive at night after 8:00 p.m., you have to enter through the parking lot; if you are assigned a spot in the upper section, you have to go down to get the key—it took us a while to figure this out.
