Springtime is here, and summer is approaching in the Catskills! It's time for an Upstate, NY trip where you'll take in the fresh mountain air and see the beautiful Catskill Mountains!

This Cozy Saugerties A-Frame retreat is ideal for a family or couples’ escape. A charming 2-bed, 2-bath, A-Frame home sits on a secluded, wooded, 1-acre lot with wonderful views of the Catskills Mountains.

Boasting a massive 24’ x 16’ outdoor deck, you can enjoy your morning coffee or take in some nighttime star gazing. This rustic home also provides a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware, flatware, utensils & spices! Plus amenities such as Free Wi-Fi, 3 SmartTVs and an outdoor gas BBQ grill as well as a Propane Fire Pit…. All making this, the place to be for your next retreat year round. (AC & Heat).

I do allow Pets. 1 Dog - 20lb Max / THERE IS A PET FEE.

Located right down the block from Opus40, this amazing Stone Sculpture Park hosts several art and musical events throughout the year and is the perfect place for an afternoon excursion.
A short drive into the Town of Saugerties, gives you a wide variety of places to shop and explore. Plus there are many Cafes and restaurants where you can grab a bite.
You’re also just a 10 minute drive to Woodstock too!

As a friendly reminder for those staying in Spring / Summer / Fall…. You’re gonna be in the country. There are critters. That's part of the beauty of why you're visiting right? So, if you're going to roll around in the leaves or grass… walking in the woods and being out in the yard, then I highly recommend you take off your clothes put them in the dryer and run for 20 minutes, and then do the Hudson Valley / Saugerties foreplay, check each other all over !

Wonderful winter escape- great home away from home

What has become a regular winter Woodstock retreat turned into something magical with the beauty, warmth and smart comfort of Nick’s home. His friendly affect and many small touches made this one of the best home-bases for me in my decades of solo retreats. Secluded, woodsy with beautiful A-Frame design but 10 minutes to either Woodstock or Saugerties. Great cooking kitchen, treadmill, great sound and entertainment or quiet nooks for writing and reading. Good heat and warm floors. Bathtub. Special place and I will return. Thank you Nick!

This place is Beautiful and very comfortable. They have all the amenities you could need. A few minutes from town, groceries and more. Private and quiet area. 20 minutes from Hunter Mountain. I would recommend to everyone.

Holiday Break

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nick’s house. The house was spotlessly clean and fully equipped. It was great to be able to relax after the Christmas rush. We look forward to visiting the house again.

Amazing and Peaceful Stay!

My family and I had an absolute great time away from the city. The home exceeded our expectations in every way. The woods made it feel like a true retreat, the kids and dogs had a blast.Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided for, the house was cozy and the location was perfect for exploring the nearby trailsNick went above and beyond with clear and timely communication, the house was spotless and we truly felt at home. Relaxing Getaway

Beautiful, relaxing stay at this home in Saugerties. We loved the private location yet very close to Woodstock and Saugerties. Nick’s communication was fantastic, responding quickly to our questions. Safe, easy, flexible check in and check out. Inside was mix of rustic cabin and modern appliances, super clean. 100% recommend to anyone.

Better than expected

Saugerties retreat

The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The host thought of everything. Perfect spot close to towns of Saugerties and Woodstock and about a half hour away from amazing Hudson. Opus 40 is grand and a short walk away.

We had a great, quiet getaway. Thanks to Nick for being so attentive & resourceful. The cabin is beautiful, clean and even though it was only 2 of us it didn't feel too big. It's perfectly located away from all but close enough to anything you might need like shops, dinning, trails or if you just want to stay in, the house is fully stocked with anything you need for cooking (you provide the groceries of course lol) and has many things to keep you entertained such as board games, TV's, a grill and plenty of outdoor green space for throwing a ball around or having a picnic. I personally don't do bugs so I wasn't out there much. I'm a city girl trying new (to me) things. I would definitely recommend staying here...looking forward to my next getaway!

Gladly and strongly I recommend this rental

Pictures can fool anyone but as my son and I entered this property on our first day, he raised his hand with a genuine smile of joy, uttering that in renting this house, I made a very good choice. He was visiting me from Germany for his birthday, and I wanted to spend some days away from NYC, in quiet, conversation, and cooking. Being there for five days provided for us a wonderful framework to spend time together, and the house is as inviting as the pictures suggest. Our only criticism is a constructive one: such a wonderful place should not be without some writing utensils, and a couple of note pads or paper. Otherwise, the amenities, the attention to detail for comfort, and the surrounding tranquility truly contributed to a satisfying stay. Thank you, Nick!

Perfect Place to Relax After a Day of Hiking

The house is secluded and peaceful with a huge deck for a cool breeze with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The house was spotless and well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Restaurants, grocery, and Katterskill Falls for hiking all within a 15-20 minute drive. Our host, Nick, was very attentive making sure everything was as we expected ( and it was). Would stay here again if the opportunity arises. I highly recommend this property for your vacation getaway.

It was perfect.

The accommodations were excellent. We were a couple, but the house would be great for two couples. We loved the setting! The host has thought of everything, and the place is equipped to the max. Just bring yourself! Perfect location to explore the area.

Wonderful cabin in the woods

Close to the mountains for skiing, miles and miles of hiking and x-country skiing trails, less than 10 minutes from Levon Helms studio for amazing music and eclectic adventures in Woodstock. Owner was spot on and friendly with communication, home was clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay again when in the area!

Can’t wait to return!

I wish I was still there as I write these accolades for both the house and for Nick! The pictures do not do justice. The house captured the rustic feel that I wanted with the comfort of modern amenities. It was perfect. The grounds were expansive enough to provide privacy- and safety. The location was perfect- 15 minutes away from Woodstock, which allowed the feel of your own private hideaway and the convenience of being close to the center (and other attractions, as well). Nick was a gracious host- both before our arrival and during our stay. He was always accessible, and essential. During a storm there was a widespread power outage. Nick contacted us and remained in constant contact with the electric company to provide us with updates. (It did not last long and provided an unneeded excuse to stay inside the cozy cabin with the rain outside.) Nick most definitely contributed to the reason we are already talking about coming back in the Fall!

I have enjoyed and absolutely loved having this place in Saugerties since 1995. I've done many updates but unfortunately don't have as much time to use it and appreciate it as I once did.

As guests, I hope you find this rustic A-Frame house to be as calming, relaxing and peaceful as I have for so many years.
It's an amazing place to get away form the insanity of life, even if only for a few days.
