Hi Carl, Thank you for the candid feedback of your stay in 217 Beach, Please! We're glad you have a good stay and enjoyed the room itself. We hope the ocean views were beautiful for your birthday stay! Unfortunately, the HOA has full jurisdiction over the pool and hot tub, and both of those can be closed without notice for maintenance or safety reasons. We do our best to keep our own materials up to date, but they don't have to notify us either. We're hoping after some major repairs that such closures will be infrequent moving forward. Unfortunately a pump broke in the pool which made it unsafe for use. We are trying to get it up and running as soon as possible. We did provide out guests with another location to swim at, as we understand that this may have put a damper on their stay. We hope you will give us another chance to impress you.
