Adorable beach box in the heart of Nags Head. Close to the beach or the sound!
Sandpiper is cute, well-equipped and within a short distance of both the ocean and the sound. Updated bedding and furnishings and ample deck space for catching some rays and hanging outside in the fresh Outer Banks air. Located in the wonderful and family-friendly Old Nags Head Cove community, one can easily walk or bike to the sound or ocean beaches and the soundfront Old Nags Head Cove community pool.
Sandpiper is also very close to two grocery stores and a large variety of shopping and dining options. Make Sandpiper your home away from home for your next Outer Banks vacation! The Old Nags Head Cove Community Pool will be open from late May through early-mid September and guests may access the pool by paying a nominal daily or weekly fee. Guests may also have access to the Old Nags Head Cove boat ramp for a weekly fee.

Communication was wonderful. The neighborhood was really nice and quiet. It was a great price for a week stay!

The house is very cute, perfect size for our party of 5. It was advertised as having 2 queen beds and one double bed. There where 2 queen beds and two twins. Not a deal breaker, but most men prefer something larger than a twin bed to sleep in. We where disappointed the pool was closed. It was not mentioned it closed just after labor day. The queen room opposite the master bedroom was very hot, the air vent had hardly any air movement. Paddle fans would be a great idea for the 2 spare bedrooms. Shower heads may need cleaning, there was no pressure, I have long thick hair, it took quite awhile to rinse my hair.

Thank you for the review and constructive feedback! We apologize for the confusion with the bed sizes, the owner changed them recently and while that change was noted in our software and on our regular website, the VRBO listing was not updated. Regarding the ONHC community pool, the "About this Property" section of the listing specifically notes that the pool will close in early-mid September which is right in line with what occurred.

vacation at Sandpiper cottage in Nags Head
It iwas nicely decorated and about everything you needed to cook was there. We were told to bring bedsheets and towels for the baths, but nothing about bringing toilet paper. I think there should be at least 1 roll in each bathroom when you arrive. So don't forget to bring your T.P!
