This spacious, fully updated single family home is the perfect location for seeing everything Portland and the surrounding areas have to offer. Just minutes to acclaimed restaurants and breweries, and easy access to the highway for day trips to Maine's famous state parks. Plentiful and inexpensive Lyft/Uber availability to graze, shop and explore town. Beautiful, well-appointed kitchen. Limitless food delivery options for relaxing nights in. Bring your bikes and kayaks, and enjoy!

You’ll enjoy amazing sunrises and moon rises. Walk, jog or ride your bike to Mackworth Island beaches, Windsor Height’s neighborhood beach, East End Beach or to the remarkable Portland Trails system.

Please note our convenient central location is directly on historic Route 1. A popular area for dog walking, fishing, boating, biking and jogging, some neighborhood and road noise is to be expected.

Well-behaved dogs (maximum of 2) might be allowed for an additional $295 fee per stay. Sorry, no cats.

Sisters Trip

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, updated and well maintained home! Upon arrival we were treated to a nice assortment of local snacks which we really enjoyed. The home was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. Location was excellent for us as we used this home as our base and took a few day trips to other locations. We were so fortunate that Molly allowed us to have our 6 year old Border Collie stay with us. I would highly recommend this home if you are planning to be in the Portland area.

Amazing rental

Great communication, very clean with an amazing view from the front porch, living room and the upstairs master bedroom. The master bath was great. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and about anything you would need to cook with. Very close to down town. Mackworth island is not far and worth going to see. Ice cream up the road was a nightly treat. Very informative guide on the kitchen table describing where to grocery shop, eat, breweries near by and about anything you would want to know. One of the VRBO rentals we have had.

Most Comfortable House

The house is newly renovated and everything is in excellent condition, and we could not have been more comfortable! The owners are exceptionally thoughtful and responsive, leaving a huge welcome basket, new pantry items and toiletries for us, and responding immediately if any issues arose. The fact that the house is next to a highway overpass and on a busy street did not detract one bit from our enjoyment of it - that's how comfortable it is! The views of the beautiful bay more than compensate for the traffic out front. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

Absolutely wonderful stay

This is truly a home away from home! We were very happy staying here! This is a clean, very comfortable, beautifully decorated and extremely well stocked home. The owners truly thought of everything. You will have just about everything you need when you arrive. The owners were so friendly and very responsive/helpful in all of our interactions with them. The property is conveniently located to downtown Portland (by car) and within 2 miles from some great restaurants and convenience stores like Walmart and Walgreens if needed. You do hear some street noise from inside, but this wasn’t bothersome to us at all. It was more noticeable during the daytime and we didn’t really hear much at night. The owners have a white noise machine available in the house if you were to need that, but we didn’t find we needed it. My family and I would definitely stay here again and have already talked about going back in a year or two. Thank you Molly and Alan for being such wonderful hosts and for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Excellent home base for our first Maine vacation.

Our family - my husband and I, his parents, and our teenaged daughter - really enjoyed this Casco Bay property. Check-in was seamless, and we were greeted by an amazing welcome basket. The home was clean, comfortable, charming, and the view from the front porch was lovely. My husband and daughter walked to the nearby smoothie shop every day it was open, and every Portland and South Portland attraction we wanted to check out was within a 25 minute drive (most much closer). It was nice to have bedrooms with full bathrooms on each floor, so our older family could avoid stairs. Molly’s guide to the area was INVALUABLE. This home also had the best outfitted kitchen of any short-term property we’ve ever rented. In fact, the same could be said about the entire house. Molly was super-communicative and helpful. During our stay, a member of our party had a minor dental emergency - while we were on a day trip with no cell service, naturally - and Molly was a lifesaver, ultimately getting us connected with her own dentist. We had a great visit, fell in love with Maine, and will definitely be back.

Great Labor Day Weekend

Molly’s place is one of the best rentals we’ve ever had. The house is very well appointed and equipped. It was immaculately clean. It is a great place for a dog. Nice back yard and good places for a longer walk near by. Her guide book is exceptional. Also she had a very nice Maine focused goodie collection waiting for us when we arrived. Five stars all around.

Perfect stay

I had an incredible stay here! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality. We stayed at this beautiful home in Portland Maine. It was clean, organized and well thought out. Our property manager was fantastic! We truly enjoyed our time during our family get together. The water views were so nice. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic location and comfortable house

This was a great space. A clean, comfortable home away from home located in close proximity to Portland and Mackworth Island and major highways. The owners were gracious hosts providing a basket of local treats and a stocked mini-fridge with local craft beers and sodas. Their efforts were appreciated and made us feel all the more welcome and comfortable. They also provide a handy guide on all things Portland with tips ranging from where to park to travel destinations to dining recommendations. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend staying here.

This is our neighborhood and we love it! Living on the water and waking up to the most beautiful sunrises in the world can’t be beat! The only thing better is catching a full moon rise over the islands. Unforgettable! Our favorite day off is walking the dog to town on the Portland Trails over Tukey's Bridge, around the Eastern Prom past East End Beach. Stop at a tasting room or two, have a bite in the Old Port, quick Lyft ride home. And repeat!
