It is a beautiful cabin on Lake Herring. Close to Frankfurt and Albania. We had a great night there.

Everything was nice and comfy, the property was uncrowded therefore very quiet and calm. The supplies were adequate and the kayaks were a great addition. For the website the only thing I would change would be to add wording that the laundry equipment is in another building.

We had a great stay at the Lakeside Cottage 1. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and every amenity worked perfectly. The views are stunning, and the kayaks, fire pit, and dock were a great bonus. The location is ideal, and the place felt like a true home away from home. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely book again!

Cabin 1 was absolutely perfect for our sleeping bear dunes girls weekend! The cabin was spacious, clean, and comfortable- exactly what we needed! Beds and pillows were comfy, shower was hot and had great pressure, and the Keurig with coffee pods was a sweet touch! Beach towels were even provided! We absolutely LOVED the dock with Adirondack chairs- I had my morning coffee out there- paradise. The host, Peter, was wonderful! He provided a list of things to do in the area....as well as let us check out late plus still use the paddleboarfs/kayaks after checkout- so nice! The check in and out was contactless and so easy! 10/10 would recommend staying at one of Peter's cabins- so quiet and peaceful yet close to fun activities! A true little paradise!

Nice getaway

Great family place. Our family enjoyed the water activities and the ducks and loons. Very relaxing. Would consider staying here again.

Older cottage, but very clean and spacious with all needed furniture and kitchen items. Great blackout blinds in bedrooms. Right on the water with a private dock with adirondack chairs...great for relaxing with breakfast coofee through sunset. No mosquitoes or other bugs, at least that we noticed. Beautiful lake with more pontoon boats than [noisy] speed boats. There are several other cottages, each with a private dock, located near this unit. So, tranquility can be impacted by your neighbors, though we had no significant issues. Just be aware that you are not in an isolated location, if that is your desire. Would definately return..

Quaint little getaway

What a perfect family vacation! The property is perfect with fun options for the kids on the water. My two boys loved the SUPs and kids kayaks and were anxious to use them throughout our stay. The location is quiet and far from noisy touristy spots. We were pleasantly surprised! The cottage was only a few feet from the water which was perfect! We will be back!

Beautiful view!

We booked this cabin in June 2024. The view was wonderful to wake up to each morning. We used the fire pit for s’mores one night. We also used the kayaks and paddle boards. The cabin was exactly as pictured. It’s a short drive to Frankfort, which has lots of cute shops and good places to eat. I highly recommend Stormcloud Brewery for a delicious meal. I also highly recommend staying at this cabin. We will definitely book it again for future trips!

Beautiful, secluded getaway with short drives to all the fun stuff. That picture window view of the lake is fantastic, and drinking our morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs on the dock was so relaxing. The cottage was clean and well stocked. Give yourself a minute to figure out the light switches though; they're counter-intuitive, but it just added to the charm. If you want a quiet retreat on the water, this is a great place for it!

We enjoyed our stay

The cottage was nice, beautiful sun sets. We were able to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards. The other cottages created a community.
