Nice house near to many things. We spent 3 nights before our cruise, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Communication was excellent, Carlos promptly responded to all messages. Home seemed clean. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. I’ll start from the outside and work my way in. I will preface by stating it was my mistake for not researching the area, but it was located in a questionable, to us, area. The neighborhood is a bit run down and generally homes were not cared for this rental looked better than most of the other homes. The neighborhood was very quiet so that was a plus. Upon our arrival and throughout our stay, there was a broke down smashed vehicle left in the front of the property(I know this could be a neighbors car but it added to our “first impression”) pink food truck parked in the driveway, garbage bags left in backyard that were visible from the front yard, grass was mowed but over grown along the fence line. It was easy to open the front door with the code that had been provided. However, when entering the home you are hit with the faint smell of cigarettes. The interior was nicely decorated, painted and the kitchen and bathrooms had been updated. We were not provided with a vacuum or broom to clean up after ourselves and there was no washer or dryer, it wasn’t listed in the description so my fault that I took for granted that their would be a washer and dryer. Fruit flys were present. Further more, the windows lacked screens and the front window had a broken lock that was very easy to slide open, which added to our anxiety about our safety.

This house was a great place for our family of 6. Nicely appointed and the host was very responsive to my messages! Would definitely stay here again.

Home away from home

Lovely

When I drove up I was like is this the place and that’s because they’re in the process of painting the outside of the home. When you walk in the home is breath taking. I will so stay here again without a doubt.

The property is clean , perfect for a family and the host is responsive on timely fashion. The neighborhood is OK. You need a vehicle to go to markets nearby unless you want to walk 20 mins or so one way. I rented a car so wasnt a big deal for me. Overall, i recommend renting this property .

Lovely Home

As soon as we arrived, it was such a beautiful house from the outside. Lovely neighborhood! Entering the house, I was amazed! The interior is far more beautiful and very clean. Each room was well put together, the bathrooms were so clean and the rest of the house was amazing. It is very spacious and the house gives a very welcoming aura. My family and I loved the stay very much! Will definitely be booking again!

Our stay in Anchorage

Overall the property was nice. The outside of the place needs a good cleanup. Pulling up to the house it just looked a little junky as well as in the backyard. The inside of the house was nicely decorated and clean although it did have a slight odor as if someone had been smoking in the house. It was big enough for our family of 5 to sleep and gather comfortably. Based on the inside of the house I would stay here again.

Cute but complicated

I’ll start by saying this place was conveniently located, the home was warm and cozy and the layout was user friendly. It felt modern and accommodated my family of 5 nicely. Communication with the property owner had a good turn around time and he was amicable. Water pressure in shower was nice and the back porch was a great space but nowhere to sit or lounge. The kitchen was unfortunately ill equipped, missing some of the most basic items. Suggestion to provide additional items was made to the property owner and hopefully the lack of knives, scissors, cooking utensils and a baking tray and cutting board will be available for the next renter. Great kitchen but not super functional for cooking. Before using the top bunk bed, I would suggest checking to make sure it is secured at all connection points. This is an item suggested to the property owner that I am hopeful he will attend to ASAP. With some changes, I would stay there again!

Shoddy refurbished house

We were quite disappointed in this property. When we arrived, the yard was un-mowed, and the place looked neglected. Tall grass and junk in the back yard were not good first impressions. The description said the house was newly remodeled. New paint covered a house that is in bad shape and disrepair. A door knob was installed backwards, a poorly installed faucet resulting in it just flopping around, and a thermostat hanging out of the wall by wires are just a few of the obvious issues. The windows did not have screens on them and the windows were all wide open when we arrived resulting in a house full of hungry mosquitos that we had deal with all night. Nice people to deal with, but was a very disappointing experience in a questionable neighborhood. We hate to give bad reviews, but this was our experience. We definitely will not come back here again.
