Charming Historic Olde City Home - Close to Independence Malll

This is one of the oldest houses in Philadelphia built around 1763. When you come visit, you will see the house looks virtually identical to the Betsy Ross house. This house is small but very charming. Please note we do not accept local guests. We also need you to let us know the reason for your visit to Philadelphia.

Please note this is an older house and while we do our best to clean we are in the city and critter and pests may enter the house. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not book.

It could use a little more comfortable places to sit. After walking around town all day it doesn't provide any comfortable seating to just lounge. There is also just the one bathroom which is up very steep stairs in the main bedroom. It was a convenient place to stay to get around town. It was very clean and the host was very nice.

Thank you David for choosing for choosing our house, we are glad you find our house clean and well located. We will make sure our guests read our description about the 300 year old stairs and the house only having one bathroom because it is historically certified and on the smaller side.

This is a fantastic property. It is perfectly located within walking distance of all the historical points of interest in Philadelphia. Its character and charming traits will never be forgotten. You get the feeling that former residents were probably on a first-name basis with Betsy Ross herself. We would definitely stay there again.

This place was perfect for our family of four. We were able to easily walk to historic places, great restaurants, and fun entertainment. The house itself was charming and warm. I would absolutely stay here again!

The history and location can't be beat. Great kitchen. It could have been a little cleaner and the steep stairs were tough. It was a great place to stay and would again.

A great privilege to stay here. Clean, modern, thoughtful updates to a home with 300 years of history still echoing in every room. Host is responsive and accommodating. Great location.

The house was so cool, it was so old and had so many neat quirks about it that our whole family loved! It was so close to everything in the Old District, we walked pretty much everywhere! Sophie was great to get in touch with and was so quick to answer any questions I had! I would recommend this property and host 10/10!!

The home is very charming and well-appointed. It’s central to so many great eateries and historical sites, all within walking distance. The host was very responsive and friendly. We would highly recommend staying at this property!

Larger living room furniture for lounging. The antiques create a welcoming atmosphere but are not comfortable for sitting around to have conversations.

Great location

Not the most comfortable living space but beds and location were perfect for exploring Philly all day and needing a comfy and convenient space to lay our heads. We had a great weekend!
