Escape from the city come to this villa ideal for relaxation close to nature, Jacuzzi. Two fireplaces. Internet access and WI FI . Illinois and Vermillion river only minutes away. The perfect place for your getaway and unforgettable experience ! Only minutes walking from hiking trails .
Villa is located inside Grand Bear Resort complex. However, WE ARE PRIVATELY OWNED. WE DON'T HAVE A CONECTION OF ANY KIND WITH GRAND BEAR LODGE AND OR GRIZZLY JACK'S RESORT. WATER PARK PASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED
Rustic log style furnishings. The generous 1,800 square foot Villa sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, comforting fireplaces, televisions, a patio, 2 balconies, washer/dryer, kitchen & dining area.

The kitchen is complete with all major appliances dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, single cup coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, eating utensils and basic cookware. To maximize your rental experience please consider bringing any special items you may need. There is a 24 hr convince store located inside the resort lobby, should you forget something.

-The Master bedroom features a king-size bed, pull out twin sofa sleeper, fireplace, TV, private vanity and whirl pool tub.
-The Second bedroom features 2 queen size beds, TV and balcony.
-Folding bed available first floor.
-Free WIFI access
-Special rates when booking 7 nights or more.

House keeping services are not provided for stays shorter then 7 nights. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the full size washer and dryer to launder the existing towels and linens for a fresh supply.

*Villa toiletries (paper towels, toilet paper) will be provided but are based on the amount of people/duration of your stay.
Should you feel more is needed while on your stay please feel free to visit the General Store located inside GrandBear Resort.

*This Vacation Villa is privately owned and the use of some resort amenities (i.e. WATER PARK, mini golf) IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL. Tickets must be purchased separately. And you have to call Grand Bear Lodge in advance to check for availability.

Property is clean and located close to many things to do in the area. We spent a day at the waterpark in Grand Bear Resort, went to Cedar Creek Ranch for a horse ride, and did a hike at Matthiessen State Park. Will definitely come back again.

Beautiful, cozy place

Stayed over a weekend with my sister and parents to come and relax. Also brought our senior dog along. The house is very nice and cozy. The fireplaces are lovely. Overall the home was very clean, well kept and to me it looked even better in person than it did in the pictures online. My parents loved it and they are planning on coming back hopefully over the summer. We loved that is so close to trails, we were able to walk to St. Louis canyon from the home. Also, thank you to Martin for always being available to answer our questions quickly. Definitely recommend the place.

Great Retreat

We had a great weekend retreat at this location. We had some other people staying in another cabin which was just a short walk away. Super convenient. Everything was as described. Nice & clean! Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful House

Very comfortable in an amazing area. Very close to multiple Parks and trails. The tub was a great way to relax and the bed very comfortable. Martin is the best host that I've had a pleasure of dealing with and I travel a lot if that tells you anything. He's very accessible and seems to truly care that you have a perfect stay. I can't wait to bring the rest of the family!

Starved Rock Fall Get Away

Nice place. Awesome location for a Starved Rock Adventure. Only issues…(1) Need better/bigger cooking pans, (2) all the screens fell off when we opened, and (3) had some late night partiers the last night of our stay. Wasn’t sure how to contact someone that late (3 am) to shut them down. Would definitely stay again, but would inquire about protocol for addressing the quiet hours non-compliers.

Exceptional place to stay near Starved Rock

This is by far the best place I have stayed near Starved Rock. The villa was spotless. The bedrooms were large and beds were very comfortable. The 2 full bathrooms were large as well. We cooked several meals and everything was available that we needed. The location was perfect. Minutes to Starved Rock to hike and to the small towns around the park. I had several questions and Matin answered immediately. I would highly recommend this place to stay if you are in the area, and I would book this place again.

The villa was very spacious and clean & had everything we needed. The location was excellent... right by the Grand Bear Resort and very close to the Starved Rock entrance. Martin was extremely responsive with my questions.

Best host ever

We have stayed in many VRBOs around the U.S., and Martin was by far the best host in terms of communication, responsiveness, and helpfulness. (To be clear, we've never had a negative hosting experience, but Martin stands out among a very positive group.) The property is great, spacious and well equipped. The location is excellent -- about a mile to the state park entrance, and walking distance (virtually across the road) to the parking lot for the St. Louis canyon. The Starved Rock cabins and lodge are iconic, but Grand Bear is better for anyone looking for a full kitchen and multiple bathrooms.

Girls weekend

Great time and great location! We did get in on the first night adter dark, and the building numbers do not have lights so it's hard to find in the dark. Otherwise all was great!
