First time staying at a vacation rental! Everything went smoothly. The home and property were absolutely stunning! Kitchen was well stocked and also got Miner Moe's pizza delivered (yum!). Really enjoyed sitting by the river and the views from the living room. Will return!

Beautiful place and area

The property is very comfortable and with the stream and horseshoes near the stream it is an enjoyable area to spend the day. The property has everything you need to relax and getaway from it all.

The house was nestled in the woods away from others and provided a perfect environment for a beautiful Christmas with our family. High lights were the wood burning fireplace, hot tub, seclusion but close to charming town, beautiful setting and pretty home. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

Amazing Nevada City!

Just what an amazing property! Hosts were great and everything was exactly as they said it would be. My family loved it and everyone had great space for relaxation and we just LOVED the view from the back porch. We would recommended this property to anyone.

The home is magnificent and the property is stunning. Everything was absolutely perfect, including the very responsive and helpful host. The nights were magical with patio lights throughout the property. There are multiple outside sitting areas for family gatherings or quiet reflection including on the river, a magical fairy garden and a beautiful deck overlooking the 8 wooded acres. We enjoyed watching the deer graze in the misty morning. The kitchen was fully stocked, there was ample wood for the fireplace and fire pits, the hot tub is nestled in the trees for privacy, the house has lots bedrooms and sleeping areas for large families/gatherings and there is a studio guest cottage across the way if you need additional sleeping space. If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, this property deserves it.

Great House Close to Town

The house was perfect and considering it was raining while we were, the wood stove made it very cozy inside. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The creek on the property was great for the dog to swim in and we enjoyed walking at the trail nearby. The beds were super comfy and the linens were nice. Overall a great place to stay!

Spectacular!

We recently stayed at this lovely property and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, well appointed and the views are beautiful. The location is ideal, so private yet close to downtown NC. The absolute highlight of this special property is the incredible creek that runs behind it. Absolutely stunning! Would highly recommend😊

Surrounded by beauty!

Our 3-generation family had a relaxing stay surrounded by beauty. As other reviews have stated, the home is nestled among trees with the windows and deck facing the creek. Our two toddlers enjoyed the deck along with the adults, and our dogs loved running freely when we walked to the creek. The kitchen had ample cookware, plates, and glasses. The beds were comfortable. Beautiful scenery, lovely home, close to downtown ... our family had a fantastic stay.

Better than advertised.

A truly lovely property. Every year our family looks for a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery with our dogs. This was by far the best place we've found. Nevada City is adorable, the house was private and I can't say enough about that creek that flows through the property. We were there everyday and the dogs absolutely loved it. Can't wait to return! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. (We did bring our own pizza oven, pasta and ice cream maker as we are a family of home chefs) but everything else was plentiful.

Spectacular

This property was everything we wanted for a quick getaway. Secluded in the middle of the woods, next to the creek, you really feel like nothing else exists outside of this area. The house was very clean & equipped with everything we needed for cooking. Emily was super easy to communicate with and helpful with all of my requests. Easy check in & out. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful property

This is one of our all-time favorites! The house is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of private spaces (indoor and outdoor) for each sleeping area. The property itself, though, is what makes this place really special. It is extremely private with multiple walking trails and strategically placed seating areas. Despite the remote feel, it's only a very short, easy drive into town. We enjoyed this place so much that we are already thinking about a return trip. Highly recommended!

The best rental I've ever been to!

Wow. This was by far the best VRBO I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at dozens. It was an incredible setting, private and secluded in nature with a beautiful private creek area. The house itself was perfectly set up and had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and all the linens and everything was very high quality. The host, Emily, was very helpful and responsive. This is a really exceptional property and I'm already planning my next visit!

Private with Deer Creek access

Amazing property. House is clean and well appointed. Everything we needed to cook. Five minutes to Nevada City but completely private with no visible neighbors. Brand new hot tub. Property includes your own private piece of Deer Creek. Super easy communication with Emily. This is a place we will visit again.

The owners were Very nice to work with and very responsive and accommodating! Home was immaculate, kitchen well stocked, the grounds are beautiful. We also rented the Studio which is quite spacious and lovely too. It was difficult to get it warm enough though. We loved all the windows, the light and the views they offered. Also, the numerous decks and opportunities to sit outside in warmer weather... especially by the creek. We had difficulty regulating the heat in the charming downstairs suite. We can't imagine anyone being disappointed in staying in this beautiful home! We hope to be able to return in warmer weather to fully avail ourselves of the magnificent surroundings. J.C.

A Wonderful Retreat!

This property is less than 5 min away from Nevada City but it entirely remote. However it will be difficult to locate and arrive at the properly without cellphone navigation. There are multiple country roads in the area with a lack of proper identification, and following a map will not be enough help to navigate without getting lost. This caveat should be mentioned in the property description.

Hi Joseph, I'm glad you loved your stay! All previous guests have used google or apple maps without issue-- I think it is rare these days that guests use a physical map so I just assume people are using cell phone navigation. With cell phone navigation the home is very easy to find! Thank you for your stay!

Beautiful peaceful home

Very nice home. Secluded and quiet. It felt like we were in a tree house with the large windows surrounding the whole house. The property is very large and shady with a beautiful creek just a short walk down a hill on the property. Just a short(less than 5 min) drive to Nevada City. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Clean and well taken care of. Well equipped with everything we needed and more. We could tell that the owners really care about their home and property. Thank you for sharing it with us. We plan on returning.

Idyllic Country Retreat

This property was absolutely perfect for three couples and two dogs seeking a cozy, private winter weekend in a beautiful setting. The home is light, bright, and spacious, with expansive views of the surrounding woods and hills from all rooms. The grounds are well-maintained and inviting and offer a perfect balance of indoor/outdoor living. The nearby town and hiking trails are charming and easily accessible by car. As a dog mama, I was thrilled to find that the house comes equipped with creek towels, dog beds, washable slipcovers on the chairs, and conveniently-placed hoses for quick paw cleanups. Emily is a wonderful and gracious host: flexible, generous, responsive, and clearly intentional in creating the very special ambience of this home. I can't wait to stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!!! Rejuvenating Atmosphere 10+

My Husband & I loved this property!!! We were impressed by the private driveway, complete privacy, beautiful home & gorgeous property! We were minutes from downtown Nevada City, yet felt miles away. We loved the quality built home, large windows, views, deck, spa, walking trails, gently flowing river, horseshoe pits, gazebo and the several areas to sit and take it all in and enjoy! Every direction you looked was beautiful!!!The home has a large family room, dinning area, well appointed kitchen and very comfortable bedding and bed. If you are looking for a restful retreat as a couple, family or friends you won't be disappointed! The pictures are nice but they don't really do the property justice. For us this home was a 10.Our only regret was having to pull away and leave this peaceful mountain home!
