Hi Jerome, Thank you for your kind review and 5-star rating! Similar to the vast majority of homes in Mission Bay, we do not have air conditioning. The temperatures near the water are generally mild and we and the majority of other homeowners find that there is no need for air conditioning. Unfortunately during the course of your stay, San Diego experienced one of the hottest heat waves it's history, and heat records that have stood since the mid 1800's were shattered........ Thank you for your 5-star review! We work very hard to ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in our home and are very pleased that you were happy with your stay. We receive regular praise for how clean our home is when guests arrive, so I was disappointed to read that everything was not perfect, as it normally is. I spoke to the cleaning company who informed me that the person who cleaned the property before your stay was in fact a new employee that they had substituted in as our regular cleaning lady was sick that day. I think that is perhaps the reason why some of the finer touches such as dusting the baseboards were not completed. I would like to point out that VRBO is a 'home sharing' model and not a full-service hotel model. Furthermore we do not charge our guests a cleaning fee or any other kind of fee. As such we don’t expect to have to clean a guest's dirty dishes, much the same as we don’t expect to clean a guest's dirty clothes. We don’t provide daily service to our properties and therefore we do expect guests to take out their trash when the bins are full. I don’t think that is an unreasonable request, and in 14 years of renting this property we have never once had a guest suggest that it was. If you are looking for a full-service experience or additional cleaning services, we could provide daily, or periodic housekeeping service for an additional fee. Alternatively staying at a hotel might be an option that is better suited to your particular needs.
