A bucolic setting

It was a clean and comfortable place to stay for our party of four adults. It's about a 15-minute drive to downtown Watkins Glen. It's very quiet as it's situated on a farm out in the countryside.

Great Little Cabin!

We rented the space for a weekend giveaway. The space was a perfect size for our 4 guests. The home was clean and located near a lot of local attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect NY Getaway

LT's lodge is located between Watkins Glen and Corning on a pretty quiet main road. My husband and I needed a weekend getaway and this was the perfect place. The temperature was near freezing during our stay and there was not a single moment we didn't know it. This cottage was sealed nice and tight, especially at night we stayed very snug and warm. The place was very clean and easy to maintain while there. For just the two of us, there was a lot of space and privacy. I can absolutely see a family staying here with plenty of space. My husband and I were also treated to see the land behind the property had a few pigs trotting about which was awesome! Let this be your next getaway in NY that offers more than the eye can see!

We enjyed our stay. It was close to all the hiking we wanted to do. We would definitely come back.

Nice, reasonable priced getaway to Watkins Glen.

Only 20 min from downtown Watkins Glen. Country setting but house is sandwiched between 2 other neighbors. Wasn't an issue for us. You will hear road noise, just cars zooming by, a couple hundred feet away. Big note: charcoal grill. Bring charcoal or pay $25 for coal and fluid from Dollar General that is maybe a 1/4 mile away. Better yet, bring a portable propane grill, which I wish we have. There is a gas station with pizza down the street too but that's it, of anything close by. Place was extremely clean throughout with towels, linens, dish soap, small shampoo and bar of soap. Central and window air conditioners. Fire pit with wood for sale at nearby houses for $3 an armload!

Clean, quiet and affordable

Quaint but comfortable. Clean and homey. Slept well, cooked well, and sipped coffee on covered porches in quiet location. Would stay again.

Deceiving

There are many factors that impacted the ratings of our stay. I would like to start with the positives. The interior of home was exactly as pictured, was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. I do not believe that the negatives were the fault of the property owner. First, I have used VRBO and others numerous times we had no problems and have loved each stay. This was the first time I have had an issue with VRBO. When I booked this trip the listing stated that there were the normal cleaning (120) and pet charges (20) but I was charged $135 & $40 and additional charges that I had not encountered before from a "property mgmt co". Additional chgs. of a booking fee of 81.84, a damage waiver (40) and a net rate fee(25)! None of these fees had any explanation and I have no idea where the mgmt co came into the picture. I contacted the property mgmt co about the discrepancy in the pet and cleaning fees and they stated it was VRBOs error and they would not refund the difference. Secondly, the image shown on VRBO has an open pasture with a barn in the back. This was not the case the barn is NOT part of the property and it is actually the neighbor's property (which cant be used for pics) where they store their junk vehicles and their literal pig pen. I do not know if the property owner or mgmt co took the pic but either way it is very deceiving! And it is not "a scenic farm country retreat" with the property squeezed in between two other non-vacation like homes.

Mother / daughter gathering

We were greeted cheerfully by the house keeper … Cute little cottage atmosphere … very well kept … nice little getaway !!! Perfect for the six of us !

Great place

After traveling for 5 days, this was a great place to hang our hats for a couple of days. Plenty of room, clean and great staff. We ended up with no water and within an hour, we had Mark come over and get us up and running again. Open floor concept. The 2 piggies in the back were great entertainment, too. Washer and dryer were a bonus.

Three C's - Charming Cozy Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at this quaint cottage! The space perfectly fit our group of 5. The large living room area and the game room was a huge hit with our teenagers! And us parents gushed over the darling kitchen. When you get the kids to eat dinner with you at the table and talk/laugh for hours, it's a special thing! The home was filled with every amenity needed. And most importantly, was very, very clean (a must for me)! Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. It was just what us city folk needed - a quiet, intimate getaway. The fall foliage was spectacular and the nearby attractions (Watkins Glen and Corning Museum of Glass) were great!
