We had a great stay over the weekend! The house was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for our group. We especially loved the basement play area and extra sleeping space, which was a pleasant surprise. The host was responsive and addressed our concerns promptly. Overall, a wonderful property, and we would happily stay here again.

Absolutely one of the BEST homes we have rented from VRBO. A beautiful home in a beautiful location. Everything in the home was just as described in the listing. There was even a community access point to the river not too far from the home. The host was very responsive to any questions we had along the way. This home will be our go to rental when we return to visit family later this year and anytime after that. Thank you so much to the host for making their home available and the ease of staying there!

Just as pictured but more beauty to discover when you check in. The property is tranquil on its own. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place.

The house is very nice and the river views from the deck and fire pit are beautiful. Lots of peace and quiet which was our objective. Communication with the host was good, very responsive. We loved our stay.

Beautiful stay!

The home is situated in a perfect spot looking over the river. The home was nicely decorated with all amenities available. Nicole definitely put awesome finishing touches in every room and we had a great couple of days. Highly recommend!

Comfortable cabin with a beautiful view

Stayed here for a weekend and had a lovely time. Beds are comfy, bedrooms are especially gorgeous, and lots of thoughtful touches. Loved it

We stayed in this beautiful and cozy house for two nights, and it was spectacular. The fire pit and deck make you want to stay there longer. If you're looking for tranquility with a beautiful view, this is the place. I recommend it.

Great mini vacation

Has everything you need. Loved the fire pit overlooking the water and hot tub. Close to town. Everyone in town was so very nice!

Great view!

Beautiful, clean house with a great view close enough to local restaurants and the national park. Nicole was very quick to respond to any questions. This was our second stay and we were very pleased to see the newly renovated basement which was so great for the two teens we had with us!

Super cute property with a gorgeous view down to the river. We came for a week to get out of the city and spent time exploring the surrounding area. It's half an hour from Front Royal and Winchester and there are lots of other small towns within that distance too. We did a short hike in Woodstock and visited Muse Winery there too, both great adventures. We took advantage of the fire pit and had a lovely evening making smores. Would absolutely recommend.

Relaxing stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at River Rock Retreat and surrounding area. Weather too warm for hot tub and a fire, but we loved sitting above the river and watching the river flow. Mesmerizing! Did some hiking by driving to nearby trails/parks. Sunny all three days. Made for some great sunsets. Our stay felt like home away from home…without the cat hair!

Beautiful Cabin on the River

The cabin was perfect for my family of 4! The cabin was clean and decorated so nicely! We loved the nature theme! The hosts were so thoughtful with the items available to us like dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. The basement floor is finished but empty- I can’t wait to see what they do with that space. Bonus- we saw the northern light from Skyline drive and from the cabin on our 2nd night there!

Great Time On The River

We had a fantastic time at River Rock Retreat. Check-in was a breeze. The place was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was great for making meals. Grilled outside as well. Hot tub was excellent and also made smores on the firepit. The location was excellent. Close to town but still felt remote. Nicole was a wonderful host. Very responsive to any needs. I highly recommend this rental.
