Loved it here... very nice place with everything you need... spent as much time by the river as possible.. was able to get out in the river in the tubes and the kayak... very peaceful we will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property, spent a whole day at the river with kayaks and tubes. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook a meal, The property provided excellent viewing of wildlife, especially enjoyed the baby toads at the rivers edge. Close to national park and an excellent meat market where we bought some fabulous T-Bones. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful riverside cottage! The home was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was perfect, peaceful and relaxing, with the river just steps away. We loved spending our mornings with coffee by the water and our evenings enjoying the quiet surroundings.The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and it was clear the owners take great pride in maintaining the property. It was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and make wonderful memories.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Five stars all around!!!

Huge property, all new accommodations, well stocked kitchen. I like it when coffee is provided. No need to bring chairs. You can drive all the way closer to the firepit along the side of the river. The no-rail bridge over the river was another excitement as it heavily rained just before our stay. We will definitely come back.

Great place for families

We loved the house and beautiful property. We had nice furnishings, comfortable beds, and great wifi for the whole family. We would stay there again and again when we come visit our family nearby in Winchester

I echo what other reviewers have said - it’s a beautiful and magical setting. The home is comfortable and very clean with everything in working order and all of the things you’ll need. A couple things to bear in mind - 1 - the bathroom situation: there are 2 bathrooms one of which is en suite (IN the master bedroom) on the ground floor and one of which is in the basement. For those staying on the upper floor, they need to descend two flights of stairs to the basement to use the 2nd bathroom in the middle of the night. For some people, this is no problem. For others it’s a bigger deal, so I just wanted to mention it. This is not at all concealed on the property listing, but unfortunately I did not read the property description closely enough to understand this ahead of time, and it was a pain for one in our party. Also the road TO the property is quite rough with lots of potholes and torn up pavement (not ON the property- that’s all nicely maintained). We were able to navigate it in rainy weather in a standard car, but if you have a choice, a bigger 4WD might be better. Grill worked well, but we did not try the fireplace. Heat and AC both worked well. Plenty of coffee, sugar, sweetener, as well is spices and a few pantry staples - so check out what they have before buying your groceries. The only thing we felt was missing was a window covering in the upstairs 2-bed bedroom. We stuffed some pillows up there to block the morning sun.

Enjoyed the stay

We had a very nice weekend in a beautiful area. It was a very peaceful stay. The house was very well equipped and we had a nice time kayaking and tubing on the river. The host was very helpful and available for any questions.

Beautiful setting, great hosts, clean house that felt bright and airy. We had a large rain just prior to our stay that caused the River to rise above the bridge. Host reached out right away and kept us informed frequently of status and progress. Bridge was passable just hours prior to our arrival but we had no issues thanks to her great communication. Highly recommend!

Country perfection

Charming house in a beautiful setting. The house was equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were very helpful when asked but always gave us our privacy. Overall even better than advertised. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.
