Heaven On Earth near The Shenandoah River

Relax and unwind at our newly renovated cabin and enjoy all the comforts of home while surrounded by the beauty of the Shenandoah River and mountains. While it is a perfect hideaway for two, it can sleep up to seven with its beautifully decorated three bedrooms.

Each bedroom, as well as the Living Room and the Loft, is equipped with a smart TV a and DVD player. The cabin sits on 1.5 acres of flat land with river access. After a day on the River or hiking through the nearby GW National Forest, relax in the 6-person hot tub under the stars or play pool, air hockey, and board games in the spacious game rooms, or simply sit in front of a roaring fire. Experience for yourself why we call our cabin "Heaven on Earth". Enjoy reliable internet access with the newly installed Starlink!

Things to note about Heaven on Earth:

Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out 11:00 AM. Early check in or late check out may be available, please feel free to ask!

The base rate includes 4 people. Additional guests are an extra fee of $30 per person per night

Pets are allowed at Heaven on Earth. However, they must be OVER 20 pounds and you must submit a current rabies certificate. Pet Fee $100 per dog- maximum 2 dogs - (No cats, sorry!)

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!

The optional firewood charge of $10/night is for firewood. If you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.

Thanksgiving retreat

The cabin was great!!! Perfect for our family Thanksgiving away from the city. The only negative was the Hot tub was dated and falling apart.

This was a perfect family mini vacation.

We brought the family for a long weekend and it was perfect. Not far from any of the must see attractions, this lovely cabin has all the comforts needed after enjoying the surroundings. The hot tub was wonderful and the fire pit was perfect for family time to finish the evening. Thank you!

Splendid cabin!

The cabin was very nice and clean, everything was very comfortable and homey feeling. The binder was very helpful to answer any questions we had, although we had a bit of trouble with the hot tub. The area of luray was wonderful and appreciated all the recommended things to do!!

Perfect little getaway

This was a great cabin just a short drive from Luray. We were looking for somewhere to get away with our older teens, and this cabin hit the spot with its hot tub, pool table and air hockey. The horseshoe pit was also enjoyed. Each person having their own room was a big plus as well, as they usually end up sharing a room when we go away. Having two full bathrooms was great and access to the washer dryer was appreciated (especially the dryer so we could dry swimwear). We really loved the beautiful view of the river from the deck and took advantage of the grill. Having access to walk along the river was awesome. The biggest thing I appreciated was that the price included 4 people before charging for extra!! A lot of the cabins I looked at charged extra past two people. Great cabin, great location. Highly recommend.

Spring holiday

Cozy cabin with river view and big yard. Hot tub! We loved being tucked away in the holler. Plenty of room for family of four.

Peaceful retreat

Lovely cabin with so much to do there. Too many amenities to list but a perfect weekend getaway place. Quiet and peaceful with east river access

Great for families.

Very clean. Very organized and well thought out communication about the property. Kids appreciated the games/activities. The dog loved that he could join us. Less private than we expected, but was not a problem for us.

Heaven on Earth

The hot tub was broken, deck was unsafe, gas grill needs to replaced. The furniture and mattresses were worn out. Access to the river is shared with other community members which is not mentioned in the description. WE paid for seven nights and stayed one.

Comfortable and clean lodgings

This was a great place to meet up with two other people. There is a bedroom on each floor and a bathroom on two of the floors. The game room is packed, and there is a library of books and DVDs. We enjoyed ourselves and were very comfortable hanging out in the living room, and on the deck.

Wonderful

Loved our stay here, everything about is was wonderful!! The only bad thing was our stay went by too fast! My family had the best time and the cabin was plenty stocked with everything we could possibly need and it was in the perfect location to all the attractions!!

Great Getaway

We rented this place for Christmas. We arrived to a charminly deorated Christmas house. It was great to walk in to a perfectly cleaned cabin that was aglow with a christmas tree lights and softly lit lamps. We did have a couple of hickups, the hot tub was broke. We called the property manage who sent someone over immediatly. When they determined they couldn't fix it, they gave us access to the cabin next door and that cabin's hot tub. Worked out great. The fireplaces were a bit tricky as well. Once again, a simple call and all turned out well. When we ran out of fire wood, again a simple call and we had wood delivered. Check out and in was super easy. PM was very supportive. We had a great family time

Nice & relaxing getaway

Cabin was very clean and gave off perfectly relaxing vibes! Close to the water and beautiful scenery. It was closer to other cabins than we had hoped for but they were all quiet so no issues. Lovely and comfortable space

Really great!

Great cabin, great location! Every detail was thought of regarding things we realized we needed but didn’t pack. The location is convenient and beautiful! We will be going back when it’s warm and we can tube down the river.

Perfect

We will def be coming back. Absolutely perfect get away only went out for breakfast. Other then that ate at the cabin. And loved all the things to do play pool, horse shoes, etc.

Great for a small family

Cabin was nice! Only thing that was a little misleading is that it’s not as secluded as it looks from pictures. There are neighbors on all sides… and the river isn’t technically in the backyard although it is a very short walk!

Family trip to Luray

Our family enjoyed staying at the cabin. The property listing was accurate and it was well stocked and clean. The property manager was quick to reply and help us with an issue. The hot tub was great to relax in. The location worked for us as we visited the caverns and drove the Skyline Drive. Beautiful spot to visit.

Everything was great. Gave it 4 stars because the grill doesn’t work very well and needs to be replaced. But everything else was very nice

Weekend getaway

Friends gathered for a weekend retreat to unplug. Heaven on Earth presents much better live than in pictures. Excellent use of space and the three bedrooms all spacious and comfortable. Books/games were a plus. DVD library pretty good 👍. All of us had fairly decent cell signal At&t Verizon Tmobile Dog friendly and the dog enjoyed the grounds as well. Hot tub was clean and comfortable. Very easy stay, location was great with good amount of privacy. Will definitely place on my favorites list. Hope to have the opportunity to Stay here again!

Awesome

My family's stay at the cabin was very enjoyable. Beautiful big rooms, clean and stocked with everything we needed. Outside on the deck was a hot tub so realaxing. We cooked on the grill and sat under the umbrella at the table. We had a fire in the fire pit every night and management supplied us with lots of wood. You can walk to the river with your morning coffee and a fishing pole. The mountains took my breath away. It's truly God's country and the cabin is a little Heaven on Earth.

Hornets

We arrived to the location on friday night, everything was great, grilled some steaks (grille was a bit dirty, we used a skillet we brought on the grille). Overall, not a bad first night. Saturday morning, we were hanging out when we noticed about 5 hornets on the windows (interior) of the cabin. We called, a person came out and disposed of those hornets, but due to uncertainty if there could be more, we decided to leave. We had an individual with us that is allergic, and we didn't want to risk anything. Requested a refund for the 2 nights we wouldn't be staying due to the concern regarding the hornets, and we were told that it would not be refunded due to it not being the cabin's fault that the hornets were in the house. I feel that's an issue, but I'm also just glad we left without our friend potentially getting stung/suffering an allergic reaction. We thought it was a nice cabin, good area, but definitely disappointed with the dirty grille, the lukewarm hot tub, and the hornets. Lastly, there was a plethora of cigarette butts all around the property. That could have been from people that had previously stayed.

Overpriced

Pictures don’t clearly depict this old outdated home. We only rented it for the game room but didn’t realize it was down old school creepy narrow steps in a cold grungy basement! So we never used the basement and settled for the main floor and loft areas instead. There’s no privacy as there’s other rentals cabins on both sides of it and a lot of bugs and flies! We made the most of it with the fire pit and hot tub but wouldn’t rent again.

Great time at Heaven on Earth

Had a great time at Heaven on Earth end of September. Got together for the week with 3 friends (brothers) that I grew up with back in NY. We've gone tent camping almost every year for the past 50 years. We're all getting older and decided to "move on up" to a rustic cabin. The cabin was very clean and had many great amenities. There were 4 of us and the sleeping accommodations worked out well. Used the pool table and horseshoes and even played some bocci ball with a set we brought along. It was really nice having the gas grill for cooking too. The fire pit was great for hanging out as it did start to get a bit cooler later in the evening. The cabin was in a good location as well, as downtown Luray is not far away, and we also got to go fishing at a nearby pond. All in all it was a great trip and everyone had a good time. Highly recommend Heaven on Earth.
