Relaxing

Our stay was wonderful! We had no problems at all and had fun/enjoyed our stay. We would definitely book again for our next vacation.

Small but nice

The house was a tad small for our group size IMO. We had more adults than children, the kitchen was a 1-2 person kitchen and we like to cook as a family so it didn't go so well. The living room was small. So close to dining area. The upstairs was okay the kids bunk room is in the middle of the hallway to get a better picture of it. The sheets in the bunk room had a rancid smell, like they were not washed properly or were not washed at all..so we washed them. The upstairs restroom that is shared was clogged and the water took forever to drain. The downstairs master bedroom bed was really comfy, I will admit I slept real good. The only upsetting thing was you could literally hear everyone in the house in the downstairs room, you could hear all the walking upstairs and the talking in the kitchen and living /dining area. So if you are a light sleeper Do not stay in that room lol. The pool had enough room for 6 people to hang out in, Please take bug spray the mosquitoes were relentless, and there was flying roaches/bugs so be careful with those but I mean we were by water so maybe that's normal? I didn't know the back apartment was going to be that separated, I thought the door to get in was by the pool but it's a whole different unit, which is nice for in laws lol! You just have to walk up some stairs to get to the door of the apartment. Despite the review we enjoyed each other's company, and had fun in this house. I would stay again with a smaller group and stay longer to enjoy it more. I'm only giving 3 stars because of the blankets not being washed and the clogged upstairs restroom.

Vacation Fanta Sea Get Away

Absolutely loved the location! Very spacious and super close to all the fun in town. Perfect set up for an adult group or family get away. All the essentials were already there. However, this is the 3rd time I've rented thru Silver Sands and was disappointed in the filthiest this home was when we checked in. Back patio can was over flowing, the dust caked on A/C vents showed no one had ran a swifter across any of them for many months & I can't forget to mention the A/C filters, those were straight black. And the upstairs spare bathroom was clogged full of hair and took a couple hours to drain. We tried to use a plunger and a lot of hair and what looked like toilet paper came up and still too a long time to drain. But over all, I'd still recommend this house.

Great house and location. Not so great customer service

This is a great location right off the beach but also close to the different shops and restaurants. The home itself is also really nice. We had a large family with 6 kids including 2 infants and it was the perfect set up with the pool and all very clean. I am giving this 4 stars only because of the customer service. There were multiple issues with check in between requesting early check in and being told we could to calling and being told we couldn't. The unit was ready and we weren't allowed in. We had to have our 2 elderly and 2 infants out in the heat for over an hour waiting for check in and we were told there was nothing they could do and multiple different reasons why, none of which really added up. Then when we got in, the AC was not working properly and we were never able to get the wifi issue resolved for the second home. All in all it is a great place to stay as long as you don't need any assistance.

We love this place. The inside of the home was well designed. Very comfortable layout. The beds were very comfy too. The back apt was very nice. There is a lot is shaded area during the day. Very close to the beach as well as stores.

Really fun

The place was really nice and fun. Its located near alot of fun places too. The pool had sand in it when we got there n grill was dirty. Outside patio area needs some updates of furniture.

Thanksgiving 2021

We had a great time. The house was very nice. The kitchen is well stocked. And we really loved the patio area. The only thing I might suggest is that you state that the apartment is a garage apartment. We managed fine, but had to change up our sleeping arrangements some. Our door lock code didn't work. We called and were given a back up code that worked fine. The original code worked for the apartment. Also the a.c. quit. Since it was chilly, it wasn't a big problem, and was fixed the following afternoon. All in all, it's a great house, and our family was very comfortable!

Great getaway

Loved the pool! Backyard is only rocks so great for dog, no mud! The kitchen has lots of variety of bowls and plastic ware for kiddos too. It does seem a bit far to walk to the beach so we rented a cart for beach days. The back casita was awesome for our family friend. Washer and dryer in both houses! We really enjoyed our stay and we would gladly stay here again. Bring your own hairdryer and salt and pepper.

Awesome house.

It is an awesome house and only a short drive to the beach with golf carts. The set up was wonderful and the kids enjoyed the pool. Would definitely book in the future.

We stayed at the beautiful Fanta Sea Getaway in Port A in June. The house is amazing! Spacious, clean and it was completely loaded with games, kitchen accessories and great wifi. The outdoor space is fantastic too! We loved having a tv in every bedroom. The extra apartment in the back of the house was darling and fully equipped! Easy access to the beach and we rented a golf cart and had fun going around town with close by shopping. I highly recommend this beautifully decorated beach house!!

Grad Week Fun

We had a blast with 7 recent college grads as we celebrated at the beach. House is the perfect set up for a trip, my wife and I took the garage apartment and left the young people in the main house. Accommodations are great. Clean and convenient, well decorated and located. Excellent stay all the way around.

Beautiful House

We have rented with silver sands for the last 5 years and we’re always please however this time was a total let down. Our house was great but the back apartment was not cleaned AT ALL! It was disgusting! Dirty dishes, dirty sheets, dirty towels, dirty clothes and underwear left in the dryer. I called them and left a voicemail and emailed them. No one got back to me. We had to clean it ourselves. I thought due to Covid they were taking extra precautions for cleanliness... well that definitely didn’t happen. I was totally disappointed in the lack of communication from silver sands (the property manager). I should’ve been refunded my cleaning fee since I had to clean. Also the hot water at this house sucks! It took 20 minutes just to get the water warm. For the price they are charging per night you should have warm water. Also the tv in the living room at the apartment we could never get to work. I have no problem paying this per night at a place we’ve done it for years but these things definitely need to be addressed. The property and lay out is fantastic. The house is cute! Great for large groups, super nice. The pool is perfect! The outdoor space is phenomenal! All in all we loved it! I just wish we’d had some communication when we tried getting a hold of them.

Beautiful House/Very Dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was beautiful and fit my family perfectly but it was very dirty. We were extremely disappointed being that 2 hours were deducted from our check in/check out time supposedly to clean extra due to COVID-19. They definitely did not clean any better if at all. I immediately started taking pictures of all the disgusting dirtiness when we arrived and we started cleaning the house (inside and out) and washing bedding our first nights stay. That is not what we planned on doing while on vacation. Multiple beds had stains that came out once we put them in the washer which leads me to believe the bedding was never even washed. This is very concerning especially with a world wide health pandemic going on. Handles, doorknobs and light switches were filthy, there was a pile of dead shrimp in the back by the outdoor shower with a swarm of flies and shrimp leftovers on the outdoor table, cigarette butts everywhere. We had trouble with the locks and were locked out of the apartment for some time with all belongings inside. We ended up having to call several times before a maintenance man came and fixed the issue. We were given the wrong unlock code in our email. Hopefully Silver Sands steps their game up and addresses these issues with their cleaning crew and property managers because we would love to stay at this house again if so.

Disappointed @ Fanta Sea Getaway

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were ask to arrive two hours after usual check in so they could “throughly clean” because of the COVID-19! Upon our arrival at the property the house and the pool were both filthy! We took pictures and started trying to reach Silversands Property management!! They never answered or returned or calls till late the next day! Pool man did come clean pool but we were left holding the bag on the filthy house!! No one ever returned our calls after we sent them pictures and complained!!! This is our 16th summer visiting Port A and our 3rd in this house!! We will NEVER use this rental company AGAIN!!! Shame on you SILVERSANDS!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is well set up for hosting a family. There were good kitchen utensils. The backyard was full of dog poop. We called two days in a row and someone did come to clean it up. The pool was never cleaned while we were there and was full of sand when we got there. I called but never received a call back. The trashcan by the bbq pit was full of trash and the bbq pit was filthy. One pillow in the bunk room was crusty and had a dirty pillowcase. We had a really great time in spite of these things, simply because the layout of the house is so good for a family--there was privacy for my son and his wife in the little apartment in the back. The air conditioning worked great and we were comfortable and cool the whole time. You need to bring your own trashbags, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, etc., which is usually the case. Location is great--recommend you rent a golf cart for traveling to the beach.

Wasn't great.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Received a email to check in at 9am upon arrival. Was told it was a mistake and that our check in time was at 4pm so we then had to wait around until 4pm. At 4pm we show up to the house to find that it was still not fully cleaned and restocked so it ended up being about 5pm before we were actually in the house. Then we had a golf cart set up that was supposed to be delivered around noon since the email misled us, but they forgot about us and we did not receive it until around 6pm. It was definitely not a great experience. We booked long before the covid crisis and called 31 days before our trip was scheduled to see if we needed to cancel or reschedule because the weekend we had picked was right before the wedding. So if we weren't going to be able to come down there that weekend I wanted to cancel. But I was ASSURED that "the trip was set and nothing was going to stop us from coming down" and it would most likely just mean we would only be able to stay at the house which was fine with us. But then 3 days before our trip they called and said we had to reschedule and gave us no option to get a refund since we were past our 30 days. Even though I tried to do that very thing before the 30 day window and was assured we were good to go. Very disappointed and frustrated with the whole experience. Also final point, when we were finally able to go again they let someone else book the house we had booked so we had to take a house that we did not want and was further away from the beach so that was a big let down too.
