Very nice house, location was good for us. Would stay again

Nice property, could use curtains in the bedrooms. Also mirrors would be nice, other than in the bathroom.

Great Birthday Getaway

Wally was the perfect host! He was extremely responsive and went above and beyond. Home is just as advertised, very clean and well maintained, with many special touches. Will definitely recommend this listing.

Wally was extremely attentive, checked in to make sure things were going well and was very accommodating. He would definitely be my go to choice next time I am in STL.

Fun Family Spring Break

We had a great time in St. Louis. This house worked out good for us rather than staying in a hotel. It was nice to make some of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It had 3 bedrooms with king beds and 2 bathrooms. Very clean! The neighborhood was quiet. Overall nice place to stay.

Clean and comfortable

The neighborhood was nice. The property was easy to find. The home was very clean and had plenty of women and lots of little extras like soap and coffee pods, etc. owner checked in with us fairly soon and asked us if we needed anything. We were doing all the touristy things and the location is great for that. We were very pleased. If we’re in the area, we would definitely stay again.

Good spot for STL sightseeing

Neighborhood is very close to downtown sights and WAY MORE ROOM vs. hotels for same price point. With that said it IS in an URBAN setting and comes with the good-and-bad of the urban setting: like requirements for enhanced security, you can hear neighbors conversations, you can hear people racing their cars around the neighborhood in the middle of the night, etc. Nice touches by owner in this VRBO. It does feel ‘home-like” and great place to decompress at the end of a day of STL sightseeing and exploring.

Pros:-Friendly, responsive host-Large space—fit our whole family comfortably-Great setup for a baby (pack ’n play options changing table ready on arrival)-Central location by carCons:-Overall condition felt worn/run-down-Furniture was cheap, beat up, and not very sturdy-Visible maintenance issues (wobbly doorknobs, hole in a bedroom door, detached closet doors)-Harsh fluorescent lighting throughout (impacted comfort at night)-Dingy carpet on stairs-Ice maker didn’t work-One TV powered via extension cord running across the room-Foosball table not usable due to placement-Listing map was misleading—location is across a highway from Lafayette Square (not walkable in the way it appears)-Heat upstairs didn’t work for first two days; fixed on day threeBottom line:Good host and workable for a larger group, but the condition, maintenance issues, and location discrepancy are worth noting before booking.

Party hardaa

The owner of the property was very responsive. It is not his fault that the renters of the other half of the duplex decided to smoke a bunch of pot and throw an absolute rager of a party until around 3 in the morning. He did refund a night since we decided to leave a day early. The cleanness of the property was adequately clean.l but it could be cleaner. It has hard water so be prepared to wash your hair when you get home. All in all it wasn’t a terrible place on the inside. It was outside that was the problem. Also there was a significant issue with the showers. The handles that controlled the water temperature kept falling off. He was responsive about that and sent his handy man over the morning we checked to repair it.

We were very disappointed with our stay, based on the listing, existing reviews and the high cost we expected a much better experience.The biggest issue was the cleanliness. The carpets throughout the home were heavily stained, including the staircase, which is the first thing you see when you walk in. The second floor also had a strong odor and stained carpeting was extensive. The hard flooring was dirty and worn, and many of the walls were visibly dirty as well.The property also showed significant wear and a lack of maintenance. Several items were broken or barely functional, including a microwave that hardly worked, loose shower knobs, and multiple burned-out light bulbs.We understand that vacation rentals experience normal wear and tear, but this property felt neglected and did not match the price being charged. Had previous reviews or the photos accurately reflected the condition of the home, we would have chosen a different property. I hope this review encourages the owner to invest in better cleaning and maintenance. New carpeting and a thorough painting would at least help.
